Soft? Who was soft? Lionpride? It wasn’t Lionpride she was afraid of, not by a long shot. “I am a Sunclan warrior.” Weed hissed, refusing to accept her demotion. “I do not fear my own clanmates unlike others.” She spat coldly. Weed didn’t have time to move out of the way as Mountiain pushed her forward. The tortoiseshell stumbled over her paws. She tried to stay on standing, but the initiate was three times her side. Weed tripped and tumbled along the ground for a moment. How much more humiliation was she to go through? It only made the new initiate angrier as she stood back up to her paws, her fur bristling and tail lashing as she stared at the large mountain of a tom. Cleaver
Heartbreaker had been sitting at the back of the crowd, but had seen everything that unfolded including his brother slipping away in the midst of the madness. He chuckled to himself and stood up on his hind legs so he could be seen, his eyes on Bloodystar. "You'll have to find Shadowking first!" The ginger tom yelled out with a wide grin, flicking his ears to the now empty space where Shadowking had been sitting. JadieHoneystorm

Lionpride stood still, his feet firmly planted on the ground as he stared at Mountain. Paws pulled and tugged, but it seemed as if the large tom was unmoveable until Weed hit the ground. Despite claws sliding through his long fur to get at his flesh, he pushed through them to get to her side, leaning down to nudge her gently as he hovered over her crumpled form his eyes never leaving the cat before him "Are you alright?" he questioned but his eyes never left the massive form before him as she got to her feet tail lashing. His own claws dug into the ground CleaverNova

Troublemaker stood up beside of heartbreaker, the two identical tom moving in sync "If they can find him" he teased "I think this lot isn't clever enough to find our dear brother"

Sunnysmile's eyes locked with a black tom in the crowd. That had to be him. But the words had already left her mouth, and as no one came forward, it was clear the Sunclan she knew was gone. Her gaze left his to stare at the ground, struggling to hold back tears. These were the cats her mother tried to protect. The kind that Sunnysmiles realized would throw her and her family to the wind. They didn't care, there was no sympathy. Just apathy and excitement for drama.
She wanted to say something, anything. Just to be heard. And her mouth opened again. But then Ghazen jumped up and gave her that one command. Wait. It completely froze her, threatened to break her. Wait? For what? What was she supposed to do to get her family out of this? To go back to normal. Sunnysmiles gritted her teeth, a few stray tears hitting the sandstone below her. Paws surrounded them, ushering her forward. With a broken leg, she couldn't really fight anymore. "... ... F-Fine."

Weed looked up at Lionpride and all her anger dissipated. Though she was comforted by his concern and presence, humiliation took over in full force. She stood on shaky legs and forced her fur to lie flat. “Physically… Physically I am fine. I only tripped a bit.” She muttered softly. Weed was almost worried that he may not have heard her response. She glanced over at Pollendrone and her heart seized in her chest once more. Weed cleared her throat and made sure to put a bit of space between her and Lionpride. Her green eyes looked up at him sadly despite her soft smile. “Thank you for the help, Lionpride…” Weed said in a soft whisper. racer
Pollendrone stopped when Lionpride broke away from those pulling him to the prison, she quickly followed suit using her small size to dip around the larger cats, she didn't want to see anyone else get hurt. She skidded to a stop slightly in front of the grey tom, almost colliding with Weed in the process. She dipped her head in apology to the she-cat and leaned closer to Lionpride, speaking in a quiet voice so only he would hear. "If you dont calm down, they will only get hurt further." She was beyond caring for her own safety, but she wouldnt let the rest hurt needlessly. racerNova
Mountain's bulky face rearranged itself with effort into a frown. Weed wasn't following his orders, the fluffy cat was being stubborn, and some other third cat was getting in the way now and whispering in fluffy's ear. Time for prison.
The large initiate stepped over Weed and shoved Pollendrone off to the side, not really caring if she was hurt or not as long as there was space between her and the prisoner. He scowled down at Lionpride and slammed one paw down on the ground.

"Hey..!" Weed hissed, crawling out from under the giant tom. The tortoiseshell rushed over to Pollendrone, running her nose over the she-cat's fur to see if she was alright before fixing Mountain with a hard glare. Weed swatted at Mountain's muzzle, keeping her claws sheathed. She refused to allow anyone to treat her clanmates in such a way. "Watch yourself." She spat. "I've faced scarier cats than you, do not think I will stand for such actions." The tortoiseshell turned back to Pollendrone and gently started to help her back to her paws Phantom
Pollendrone was not expecting the sudden shove from Mountain man, the force of it knocking the wind from her lungs before she even hit the ground. There was a thud and her head smacked the hard ground causing her vision to cloud and darken. The only thing she could hear was Weeds voice though she couldn't quite make out what she was saying, the next thing she knew, she was being helped to her paws, an airy hiss escaping her as a thin trickle of blood slid down the side of her face. "Th-thank you." She managed to wheeze out, her shoulders slumped. CleaverracerNova

Brilliantbeacon snapped. She was a large she-cat, not as large as Lionpride or Mountain of course, but certainly above the average of a normal tom. She would not marry a tom. No way in hell. She would rather die. "I hope you rot in the Dark Forest, Idiotcrow." Even as she was speaking, she twisted, shoved Discordantmelody as far away as she could, and then lunged directly for Bloodystar, claws out. It was like everything washed away, but him, blue eyes darkening into something almost entirely unrecognizable. So much had been taken from her. She vaguely heard mention of her 'mate' being gone, and her sister's tearful agreement. She would kill him, or die trying. Her claws flashed mercilessly as she went for the High Priest, not a moment's hesitation as the oversized siamese went for him. She didn't care if it defeated her point. Bloody wasn't just as bad as the Sun God, he was far, far worse, trying to lie about fate. She couldn't prove it, but she knew he was lying. Jadie

Fernskip who had been trying to think up a way to get her foolish brother out of this trouble had ducked through cats to get to his other side throwing cats whose claws had previously been in her brothers fur ruthless looks. The ice in her eyes betraying her short fuse. She eyed the marks across Lionprides thick pelt. “This is not a battle you are fit to win.” She meowed low time her brother as he hovered protectively over Pollendrobe. “Think of the future and be smart you fool.” She hissed
The scent of blood... it filled his nose, seeping into the darkest recess of his mind. The world. Around him became a blur, blood rushing through his body at an alarming rate. At first his face seemed to pale, color fleeing from his cheeks like frost when touched with a paw. Memories came flooding back, Aconite lying flayed open before him, his bloody covered mother, screams of the new born kits... then nothing but darkness as a a dark shadow seemed to hover over him. His breathing even stopped momentarily, before suddenly a heart wrenching yowl filled the air the light glinting off his claws as he hurled himself at the mountain teeth bared, leaping over pollendrone in the process. He was not as big as the mountain, but he was no light weight either his fury only further searving to power him forward. Only one word echoed in his mind. Kill....kill....kill...

Fernskip spat a furious hiss as she watched her sweet brother who used to keep a mouse alive as an apprentice melt away into a crazy monster of a warrior. This was not the brother she had returned for or the brother she had left behind. “Lionpride!” She yowled as she leapt after him her claws unsheathing prepares to enter into the fight he was about to unleash on Mountain. If she couldn’t stop him she would protect him. Even in his foolish crazy state. Her emerald greens flashed with fury. Angry at herself for letting this happen. Angry at Leatherstar for being the reason she left in the first place. Just angry. Furious. She growled low in her throat.
Mountain pivoted to face Weed, his lips tightening as his short ears pinned back against his head. The slap to his face stung far less than the slap to his pride. He had been gentle with her, he had tried to teach his prote... his proteegay.... his apprentice. And she had hit him! Nobody hit him! How dumb was she? Why would she hit him to protect a prisoner and this other strange cat?
His lips curled back to reveal all of his bared teeth, and he advanced on her, one paw raised to strike home.
Then his beady gaze darted upward at a flash of movement, and he was astonished to see the fluffy cat leaping straight at him.
With a guttural snarl, he fell into a crouch, and even with the full force of his leap, Lionpride couldn't knock him over. His paws slipped back in the dust and he gave a few inches, but in the end, he held his ground. He lunged forward and smashed into the warrior, throwing him back toward his sister as she moved toward the fight. If she was smart, she would restrain him before he gutted the tom at her paws.
Bloodystar had been watching Lionpride's skirmish and more or less tuned out Brilliantbeacon. She was the noisiest one of them all but also, in his opinion, one of the dumbest, caught up on details that no one else would care about. The flames were blue. So what? He paired her with a tom and she didn't want to be. That didn't make her special, no cats seemed thrilled about their pairings. He yawned, reminded once again of his own exhaustion. Ryn and the others could take care of this. He had a date with his nest...
"Oof--- Bloody---!"
He heard Discordantmelody's voice at the same time Brillaintbeacon's razer-sharp claws met his rear flank. Letting out a pained yowl, his battle training kicked in and he gave into her attack, letting the large she-cat's paws unbalance him but minimizing the damage. There really wasn't much more than he could do in this scenario, but being so low to the ground was not a good defense, something had to change, "Only a coward attacks her enemy when their back is turned!" He hissed, struggling against her grasp, he was not pinned but she had a good grip on him. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Discordantmelody reorienting herself but she'd hit her head hard against the stone ground and would take some time to gather her bearings. Any other help was preoccupied or too far away and he was too tired to dare and use the amulet. He was on his own.
With another yowl, he whipped around and dug his fangs into whatever body part was closest.
He ripped his gaze from the High Priest and the gathering chaos around him. He would deal with him later. For now, he had to work whatever this situation was out. His eyes drifted around the scene. Brilliantbeacon attacked Bloodyrondo, and Discordantmelody was with him. Mountain was occupied with Weed, Lionpride and Pollendrone. Perfect. He snapped back to Sunnysmiles and leaned in again. "No one watching us." The question was, where could they go? Loyalist would send them to the prisons anyway, and who would dare step out of line at this point. Still, he had an idea. Not a solution, just something to buy them more time. "Initiate's den." It was in the same direction as the prison, and it might just give them the time they needed to make a plan. He leaned into her to help support her leg. "Go."

Weed looked up at Mountain, her blood running cold as she met his angry gaze. She stood over Pollendrone, crouching down slightly as she prepared to either take the blow or dodge it in some way. She was sure that the giant tom would easily send her straight to the Isle with just one blow of his massive paw. The only reason she had struck him was because of the way he shoved Pollendrone. She would have done the same to any other cat, his size made no difference to her. Though it probably should have. The newly dubbed initiate prepared herself until a flash of gray ran past her. Her green eyes grew twice their size as she watched Lionpride attack Mountain. Something was off about him though. Something dark had overcome the normally gentle warrior. Weed heard his sister call out to him, but she wasn’t sure Lionpride could hear her. She glanced down at Pollendrone and saw the small stream of blood running down her cheek. At the site of the dark red liquid everything made sense.
Weed wasn’t sure what she was expecting, but the moment she saw an opening she quickly stumbled forward. There had been enough chaos for one day, and though he was a large tom, Lionpride wouldn’t last long if the Mountain struck a devastating blow. The tortoiseshell quickly jumped between the cats, her ears flattening against her head. She understood that nothing would stop either of the toms from trampling over her, but she had to try and stop this before it became fatal.
“Stop!” She yowled quickly. “Stop, enough…!” The tortoiseshell took a deep breath as she glanced between the two toms. Weed no longer cared if she looked foolish, or rash. She just wanted it all to stop. “Enough damage has been done today…! Lionpride…” Weed called out to the gray tom, but doubt crept into her heart. She wasn’t sure if his siblings were able to break him out of this trance, so what chance did she have? Still, she persisted. “Lionpride, you don’t have to do this. Pollendrone is fine. She’s alright, look. It was just a small cut. What of Earthpaw? Or Mousepaw?” Weed prompted, hoping deep down that the mention of his kits would be enough. “Mountain could send you to the Isle with one decisive blow and what would become of them then? They lost their mother, do not make them orphans now… please, I beg of you. There has been enough hurt today to last a life time, let us not add to it.”

Sunnysmiles shook off the freeze when she heard a yowl behind her. She couldn't help but spin around and just stare at the chaos. Of Brilliantbeacon fighting Bloodyrondo, and Lionpride launching himself at Mountain. A tornado of violence spun around them, and somehow Ghazen and her were caught in the eye. She wanted to do something, anything. Not that she could fight. Ghazen's brief order made her hesitate, and she opened her moth to oppose. But then he supported her bad side and told her to go and she winced. She looked from him to back over her shoulder, uncertainty glazing over her amber eyes before she looked down at her one usable front paw. Dry swallowing her breath, she slowly began to climb down the rocks.
The world was moving faster now. For the first time in his short life, Goldpaw felt a flare of fear; cats twice his size, some larger, were locked in combat in camp of all places. Heart pumping, burning adrenaline coursing through his veins, he watched the turmoil unfurl before him- at Lionpride and Mountain head-to-head, at his newly deranked mentor Weed stumbling through the fray, but then his vision went red as fury set in to chase away the cowardice hiding in his heart. Brilliantbeacon was attacking Bloodystar!
He stood no chance: He was only a new apprentice, and a small one at that. His head came shoulder height to most of his denmates, and he appeared even more diminutive in comparison to the warriors. Brilliantbeacon, especially, was a mountain to Goldpaw's molehill, but that wasn't going to deter the tom from connecting claws into flesh. HoneystormJadie
