“No! That’s gross....” she started to protest before suddenly being slammed to the ground with claws digging into her shoulder. The young apprentice was far to small to fight back as she wiggled under his grasp. Even pinned against the ground she was more worried about the cat doing it to her than herself “You must be really insecure if you are trying to hurt me. But don’t worry mean kitty I’ll pray for you” she mewed as the other Tom spoke about her joining WinterClan. Was that what she was here to do? Honestly she wasn’t sure, she had been told to find WinterClan but wasn’t really told what to do once she got here. Looking to Emberbrand though she knew that even if she wasn’t she should probably go along with it “yeah grandpas sent me here to join WinterClan” Jadie

Pineflurry led the group back to camp and straight to the Sovereign's den. "Wintrystar? We have...a situation." He glanced behind him to where the trespasser was sandwiched between the other two warriors. It was midday now and he was hoping she was in, least they have to wait around with...whatever her name was.

Mousepaw hummed a little tune as she walked between the two warriors, not really realizing what kind of situation that she was about to be thrown into. Every once in a while she would get distracted and dart under the warriors legs to investigate something much to their displeasure but she never tried to run away. Even now she was oohin and awwing at the site of the camp, nearly bouncing up and down in excitement. She wiggled back and forth as the came to the leader's den, Was this grandpaw Goldenstar's den?" she squeaked loudly unable to contain her excitment she went charging forward blindly into the darkness
"She's your kin?," Silveryfury replied to Emberband, his silver eyes full of animosity as usual. At the mention of a prayer, her pushed down, hard, against Mousepaw's shoulder, but then drew away and allowed her back up to her paws, "You make sure she doesn't run off." He growled and then began to walk back to camp.
~
"Shut up and bow, you are in the presence of Wintrystar," Silverfury growled, giving Mousepaw a forceful push, enough to make her fall to the ground if she wasn't paying attention.
It was... a unique predicament, to be sure. Her proclaiming Goldenstar as her grandfather further cemented that the two of them shared blood. As small as the she-cat was, though, she was an apprentice, and SunClan at that, fully indoctrinated by the false god's lessons. So much so that she offered to pray for him to the Sun God. Even the mountains knew that he was dead. Was she an idiot like that wretched Priest of theirs? Silverfury was left with more questions than answers but, even though this she-cat clearly had WinterClan blood, it had been so much diluted by SunClan that he didn't expect it to carry. She was mud-blood through and through. Prison was where she belonged in his opinion.
Wintrystar narrowed her eyes at the apprentice before her and the words coming out of the cat. The faded and nearly gone markings were still visible, proclaiming this cat as one from SunClan. She despised that particular clan, especially who they worshiped considering all the chaos it'd caused. "Why are you here." Her words were not a question, but a demand, spoken harshly and with no mercy. A growl even slipped out with the last word, showing how displeased she was about this situation. Her claws dug into the dirt in frustration. First Bluejay and now this cat, what was next? Foxstar herself?!?
Mousepaw stumbled forward with a squeak as Silverfury tied to make her bow.’instead she fell straight into Wintrystar and landing sprawled our on her tummy. She looked back at him and blinked, genuine worry in her eyes “Wintrystar you should get the grumpy kitty something to eat. Daddy always says that when a cat isn’t eating enough they get grumpy...” she babbled, still rather unbothered by the rough treatment “maybe if you pray to the sun god he could melt the snow and make it easier to find food!!! Maybe I could go hunt for you, I’m getting really good at that” She purred having no clue how bad the suggestion could be taken, but it was Wintrystars command that made her stop, her small face tipping upwards to see the leader towering over her “oh, grandpaw Goldenstar brought me here!” She chirped cheerfully “He said that since my daddy and grandma are captured that I should come back to WinterClan where my family is”
"Why you...!" Embarrassed by misjudging his own strength, Silverfury lurched forward and bit down, hard, on Mousepaw's scruff. He pulled her away from Wintrystar and slammed her onto the frigid stone floor and held her there, "Answer her question or you are crow-food, SunClan scum, but this time, tell the truth." He hissed, pressing down hard right where he had scratched her earlier, "Goldenstar has been dead for years and I see no reason why he would guide a cat like you to WinterClan. You can only bring calamity with the curse blood you carry."

Mousepaw squeaked as she was dragged back roughly by her scruff and then slammed onto the stone floor. She wiggled uncomfortably under the massive tom's grasp as he pressed onto her wound and new blood began to drip onto the floor "SEEEE" she squealed, paws pushing against the mountain of fur above her as she tried to get away. "THis is what I was talking about, if you just got some food in your belly you would feel a whole lot better Grumpy Kitty" she protested twisting back and forth out of pain "and I'm telling the truth. Grandpaw Goldenstar helped me come here, he showed me where to hide and how to hunt. When the patrol almost caught up to me, he distracted them so that I could get away. Why do you keep saying Grandpaw Goldenstar is dead? Did something happen?" her voice suddenly becoming more panicked " Grandpaw Goldenstar can't be dead, he just went to get some food when you showed up! He'll be back, and is going to be sooo mad at you Grumpy Kitty"
"Silverfury!" Emberbrand interjected sharply, his tail lashing. He spun to face the leader. "Wintrystar, Silverfury is out of line. This isn't just any SunClan cat - she's my grand-niece. She's a little rough around the edges, she'll need some training, but if she's truly related to me I can't leave her alone out there." He slipped closer to her and put their heads together, murmuring confidentially, "I don't think she'd survive alone. She might be full of loose-packed snow inside that head of hers, she just needs a little guidance."
Wintrystar watched the whole exchange, deep in thought but also displeased all the same. Fur bristling at the words, "maybe if you pray to the sun god..." How dare the insolent brat! If Silverfury hadn't snagged the kit when he did, she would have done much worse. To dare mention that dreadful name in her presence! Hearing Emberbrand speak out next, her eyes narrowed and turned to focus on him. Fury was in them, emphasized by the growl her words came out in. "And pray tell, Emberbrand, what proof do we have that she is of Goldenstar's blood? Even if she is, she will still be sent to the prison until she learns," and at this moment her eyes turned back to Mousepaw's narrowed even more and her next words in a hiss, "that the Sun God is worthless!"

Mousepaw gasped at Wintrystar's words in disbelief, but then she had a much more determined look on her face "I can't get mad,you weren't raised in SunClan" she purred a little looking at the leader with a sweet smile "Lots of cats don't know about the Sun God, it's why we have initiation so that you can learn" she wriggled under Silverfury clearly uncomfortable and trying not to cry, but the thought of Wintrystar's soul being doomed to the Dark Forest outweighing it "I'll ask Daddy to talk to grandma for you, she's the real High Priestess. I'm sure she would let you come back with me" she purred warmly not realizing how much danger she had just put herself in if Wintrystar was able to connect the dots of her parentage
Silverfury moved his paw right over Mousepaw's throat and pressed down hard. He was strangling her to shut her up, seeing as all other methods have failed, and she couldn't very well form words if she couldn't breathe. He counted the seconds as they ticked by and did not break eye contact with her, the silent threat somehow scarier then the physical one, and leaned his head close enough to her that their noses were a hair from touching. Up close, Mousepaw would be able to see tiny flecks of gold in those silver eyes of his, "Next time you speak of the Sun God in front of Wintrystar, I'll use my claws."
Sensing she was about to pass out, Silverfury released some pressure so she could breath once more, although he kept her pinned to the ground. He turned his fury on Emberbrand next, "What exactly do you have in mind? She seems thoroughly brain-washed to me. I say we save ourselves the trouble and just feed her to the wolves."
Emberbrand stalked closer to the pair, prepared to throw his own clanmate off the apprentice if he didn't release her. He was a foot away from them Silverfury let her breathe again; he stopped, his claws digging into the ground for purchase as he turned his cool gaze back to the leader.
"Look at her fur, doesn't it look like his?" Emberbrand reasoned with the leader. Goldenstar wasn't the only cat to have that thick silver fur, but it was one of his more obvious traits. "She's my kin, I'm asking you to spare her life, that's all. I think a few moons in the prison will serve her well." He acquiesced to her idea for the moment, sensing it wasn't a good time to argue. He was obligated to defend the young cat even if he didn't care that much how she came out of this. "Let her learn the horrors of the place she grew up, and she will become one of our strongest warriors."

Mousepaw floundered under Silverfury, her small paws battering at his trying to get some air into her lungs until she finally went limp, her body unable to keep fighting against the much bigger warrior. Her paws fell downward, eyes wide staring into his. No one had ever dared to hurt her like that before, and to say that it was a shock was an understatement. This time she kept quiet as she was released, except for the coughing and weezing as she tried recover
