Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The brown tabby patrolled the sandy beach border carefully, heading up toward the lake. The light was dazzling off the surface, but he was growing used to how bright it could be without the shade of the willows. His eyes stung but he ignored them, scanning the water to find a few ducks bobbing along. Condorstrike fell into a crouch as one drew near, creeping after it.
With a long leap he was in the water, his claws reaching for a better grip on those slick feathers. The duck screeched and thrashed, and one wing caught him on the side of the head; suddenly he was flung free and tumbled back onto the land. The SummerClan warrior groaned, staring at his prey in dismay, unaware he had been thrown across the border.
Eveningpaw always liked watching the ducks. With three legs it was practically impossible to catch one so she’d just sit around and watch them. But someone was hunting them today! And they were coming from the wrong side of the watetet to be a SpringClan cat! “Hey!”
Solarpaw was sitting close to the water unaware that Eveningpaw was only a short distance away, but her head shot up as the ducks that had been in the water suddenly took off into the air, water splashing behind them. Her eyes scanned the shore, taking not of her denmate and then locking onto the warrior who had disturbed the peace. "You seem to have stumbled in the wrong direction." She hissed as she crept toward him, from his looks alone she could see that he was not in Springclan but as she grew closer his scent confirmed it more.
The brown tabby was sprawled out with his lower hip parallel to the ground and his shoulders straight up and down. He craned his neck to look for the apprentices and quickly climbed back to his paws, eyes widening as he realized what they meant.
"It was a mistake," the senior warrior explained hastily, "I was just hunting."
Solarpaw huffed and rolled her eyes, she was still an apprentice and she wasn't as clumsy footed as this warrior. She was normally friendly and well mannered unless you really upset her, but considering the situation and the fact that the stranger had crossed the border whether it was accidental or not she had no problem pushing aside that part of herself. "How could a warrior make a mistake like that?" The ducks had been close to the border, but even so why had he been hunting so close to it in the first place.
Eveningpaw has been further away form the area in question so she came up upon the two cats talking and Solarpaw scolding a warrior. “What’s going on?” She’d Heard- the splash sure, but otherwsie she wasn’t really sure what was going on. The ducks tended to hang about in small patches all down the waterway so she missed what exactly happened. But actually taking a moment to look, she realized taht a duck was now dead and floating at the paws of the warrior from another clan.
"I was stalking it for a while, and I didn't notice how close it had come to the border. I'm new to SummerClan, I'm still learning where everything is," he explained. His voice was very respectful and apologetic: Condorstrike didn't want to cause trouble with these young apprentices. Even if he was older and more experienced than they were, he didn't want to start a fight. And he was being honest. It had been a few moons since he joined, long enough his coat had almost lost its SunClan scent completely, but he wasn't an expert at the land yet.
