Autumngossamer is the ex soothsayer of SunClan. After revealing that the Sun God was mistreating she-cats in SunClan Littlestar struck him down, not just killing him, but obliterating him into ash. Now to celebrate Autumngossamer's love to Lovesmitten, but also their new freedom they want to dance on the ashes of their enemies all night with friends and family! Come join this beautiful union, eat lots of food and dance the night away. You're also welcome to crash the party if you want to!
Once the official wedding had taken place the party blazed to life in the forest clan gathering. Fireflies sailed across the grass giving the party a fairytale setting. Located at the tall tree where leaders typically gave announcements there was a massive feast laid out on leaf plates. The feast towered high to the point that an apprentice might have tipped their head back to look at it fully. Flowers intertwined along vines that were strung around the venue with the gentle songs of birds and crickets leading a symphony into the night.
All of SwiftClan and DayClan were invited to participate since DayClan was the newly weds clan now and SwiftClan's medicine cat Firetooth had helped free Autumngossamer and her family. A party invite was the least she could do to return the favor to her best friend.
Autumngossamer wore a crown of lemon balm and peppermint leaves with tiny sunfowers, buttercups, and poppies peeking through the foliage. On the back of her tail was a long silk red train, the same flowers strung along the fabric hem. More striking was all her makeup made from DayClan's nature giving her look a golden ombre tone along her brown eyes.
She licked her mates cheek before addressing the wedding attendees, "Tonight we celebrate our love, but also the pleasure of dancing on my enemies ashes. I'd also like to take a short moment of silence for SunClan's suffering. I'd like to pray, not to a God or any heaven, but for our comfort and the comfort of those affected during these times. I hope that SunClan finds peace without war, belief in each other not power, and I hope they find happiness without stepping onto others." Autumngossamer said and after a brief moment of silence ended with an amen. "NOW LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!"
Glowstar was sitting down at the bottom of the tall tree still prepping some of the prey. The whole point of a freshkill pile was that it was fresh so her son was still hunting prey to keep everything warm. Not to mention with two clans and a Goddess invited there was a lot riding on there being good food. Beside her was Fairytalepaw who was the blood son of the bride, he was also a chef in training and was working hard on prepping the prey with her.
Gingersnap was dancing to her hearts content, breaking out all of her best moves. The tulip twirl, the dolphin dive, the dancing lion, all the best moves really, anyone would be honored to dance along side her! She was a flame point siamese that looked far more kittypet than a warrior, but given her advanced dance moves there was no doubt she must be a capable warrior.
Harvestpaw stayed off to the side trying to stay as unnoticeable as possible. For some reason large crowds like this made him uncomfortable, probably because he never attended any large gathering like this before outside of clan meetings.

Lovesmitten backed away from his new wife, just taking a moment to admire just how beautiful she truly was. The flowers, feathers, and makeup were secondary to the way she seemed to glow from deep within. The light that had been for so gone, was ignited once more. The smile she wore was more stunning than any sunset, the look in her eyes more breathtaking than any view. His heart thrummed in his chest, knowing that things were finally starting to fall into place. Their family was mostly together now, Autumngossamer was finally happy, and they were no longer under the control of the cruel Sun God. He fell into a deep bow, feathering kisses across her feet as his feathered cape matching her train brushed across the ground. The day she had agreed to become his mate, he had promised to worship her like a goddess and he had meant every word of it not embarrassed in the slightest at the public display of his love "May I have the honor of a dance?" he asked slowly rising to meet her gaze, one paw slowly rising for her to accept.
"Hi." Divinepaw was trying to go unnoticed, which led her to nearly bumping into Harvestpaw, who had the same idea. Now that her SunClan family had been in DayClan for awhile, she was starting to warm up to them, just a little bit. One of the most agreeable ones was Harvestpaw. He didn't talk much. So, in honor of the wedding of their parents, she decided she'd try and break the ice, a little. Except after saying hi she fell silent, unsure of where to even start. Faith
"Are you sure you don't need my help with cooking, Glowstar?" Yuccablossom was notoriously one of the worst cooks on the planet, but she didn't think that at all, and always tried to help at every chance she got even though she had been banned from the kitchen for this event, "I can be Fairytalepaw's assistant. It'll be fun! I have an idea I want to try with wild garlic and honey!" Faith
"Fallpaw," Moltenmidnight had found the animal whisperer right where he had expected to, which was far, far from camp. As much as he wanted to be part of the festivities, it didn't feel right to celebrate the wedding of his friend's biological parents without her actually being there. So, he said he was going on a quick patrol and quietly slipped away from the crowd. After checking a few of her usual haunts, he found her and quietly sat down close enough for their pelts to brush, "So... how is your ferret training coming along? Did you name it yet?" racer

Fallpaw could hear the yips and singing in the distance as the wedding of her biological parents happened. The scent of the food cooking could be smelled even all the way out here, and it was almost impossible to ignore. All she wanted was to get away, and to pretend like the celebration was just a figment of her imagination. Instead she threw herself into her work, mainly finding a second ferret so that she could begin breeding them. She had been searching for more pups, but hadn't been lucky enough to find them yet "Well enough, Sprout made her first catch" she purred, happy to happy her friend there with her and even happier that he hadn't yet mentioned the celebration going on in the distance. Jadie
While Moltenmidnight was not so sure that distracting herself with work was healthy, he was happy to note that Fallpaw was talking to him and acting normal enough. He'd play along, "That sounds tough. It was only through StarClan's good grace that you managed to get that first pup of yours... uh... Sprout. Do you have any leads yet?" racer
Normally she would correct Lovesmitten, that he didn't need to treat her like a queen, but she could see in his eyes that he wanted to. It was in moments like these that the Sun God always had control over her, where his words echoed in her mind, "all you will ever know is betrayal." And she would wonder if Lovesmitten would be forced to turn on her. But in this moment, she promised herself that would be the last time she ever considered that. She could see it from the atmosphere around her, he lost control over her when she cursed him. She could have peace of mind now, they earned their happily ever after, "You can have whatever you'd like from me Lovesmitten," Autumngossamer said, her seductive tone never off key as she took his paw.
Harvestpaw glanced at her Divinepaw, the greeting seemed to disintegrate the moment she spoke it as Harvestpaw stared ahead, "Yeah," He said in acknowledgement, but didn't extend any greeting to her as he continued to watch the crowd. Divinepaw wasn't going away though and the longer she stood there the more words came to his mind until he couldn't hold back any further.
"Normally if I have nothing nice to say I keep my trap shut, but I'll extend the same courtesy you've given to my family, which is bitterness. Since the moment I was born I've been killed, watched my sister die, get cursed, and could only watch as my mom had to pretend to be subservient to SunClan. The one with me throughout the whole ride was Sweetpaw, no one understood me like she did. So when I moved to DayClan I was anxious about living in a new clan, but excited to have more siblings. But then most of you couldn't even look at me, let alone talk to me. Oh poor you, you had a loving family who lied to you once in your entire life to keep you safe from the hell me and Sweetpaw went through. What a betrayal. I'm not saying you don't have the right to be sad or mad, but it's pathetic watching you act like the victim. We've all suffered, it's not fair for you to take it out on Honeybun and it's pretty tasteless to tell, of all people, the adopted sister that she's not your sister. Also I'm not storming off, I was here first, so you can have dibs on that," Harvestpaw said, his voice dripping with mock politeness, but his expression was nothing, but neutral, like he could have just been talking about the weather. It was a common trait in SunClan, to not show too much emotion in conversation so no one could guess what you were talking about.
"NO!" Fairytalepaw cried out to Yuccablossom before saying more gently, "I mean, no, it's a rule that we can't add in parsley or garlic, garlic is poisonous and parsley can stop a queens milk supply and we don't want to accidentally do that. You can help though! A lot of our food tastes good, but we like to mash in some extra ingredients that have health benefits. Like sprinkling mint leaves over it as garnish or maybe some lamb ear leaves or alfalfa."
Faith "Really? I didn't know that. It's really tasty..." Yuccablossom was the type of cat who charged headfirst into things rather than thinking them through, which unfortunately applied to her cooking as well. She used garlic for seasoning often. Over the years of bad decisions she had given herself a bit of an iron gut, so it didn't make her sick as it did other cats. The revelation that garlic and parsley were poisonous explained why there were always copious leftovers for meals she had prepared. She had a lot to learn, "Oh I can garnish! Mint leaves are the oval shaped ones with a strong, clean scent, right?
Divinepaw couldn't believe her ears. Here she was, extending the olive branch, only for Harvestpaw to snap it clean in half. Her fur bristled but it was better than the other option, which was crying, "Did you really expect all of us to accept you with open arms, just like that? DayClan's reputation is welcoming but don't mistake us for pushovers. Sure, you perceive that you suffered more than I did, but that doesn't make what I went through any less valid. Only recently I found out that my entire life has been a lie. That my adoptive parents stole me away from a mother who actually wanted me. Is what they did really love? If they really did care for me, why would they take me away from where I belonged, yet leave you and Sweetpaw behind? How did that even make that kind of choice?" Tears started to roll down her face and she looked away, drawing a trembling white paw across her cheek. She did not hate Goldenphantom and Fia. She loved them dearly, with all her heart, in fact. Her emotions were complex and Harvestpaw’s unexpected attack was making murky what was just starting to become clear, "I am not acting like a victim. I am a victim. And I acknowledge that you are too," She didn't budge from where she was standing; doing so would admit defeat, “I shouldn’t have tried to be your friend just now. Sorry for wasting both of our time, I guess.”

Lovesmitten straitened taking her paw and spinning her in a circle before pulling her close to his chest gazing into her eyes, this time when he spoke it was just for her ears "You know, when we first met I didn't realize how important you were going to become to me" he swayed in time with the music gently guiding his wife in the dance "but seeing you today, it reminds me of the first day that we met" he smiled leaning in an pressing his nose to hers as the danced "When you smiled, you whole face would light up with joy. Your eyes burned with passion and ambition, and even more importantly the light in your soul shined brighter than the sun" a purr rumbled in his throat "You have no idea how happy it makes me just to see you smile again"Jadie
Fallpaw nodded "Yes, its breeding season for them. There should be a few late litters being born, the trick is finding them. They are so small and can fit into holes so small that a cat can not enter. I could try and dig them out, but that would risk hurting their newborns and having to fight the parents. For now I have been staying out here watching and observing to find their nesting sites" Jadie
"Okay, I am really concerned about the amount of garlic you've eaten, but I'm just going to take it that you've developed an immunity," Glowstar decided.
"Anything we have around here you can add onto the meal, except for the grass," Fairytalepaw laughed.
"No, that's the thing, I don't think your pain is invalid, and no one should be able to say who's suffered more," Harvestpaw said, his green gaze staring into her mismatched tearful eyes that didn't quite meet his, "But I also can look around and see that other peoples emotions are valid. I'm going through hardships too," He said, thinking back to the curse. Sweetpaw and him left SunClan, if they became warriors here it would be sealed for eternity... He moved his mind away from the thought, "But I haven't raised my voice to other people. And I also would have the decency to talk to my mom before blaming her. Maybe if you did you'd know the full story. Sweetpaw and I were separated because Littlestar saw you and your littermates moving, but Sweetz and I really were dead so she separated us, not your mom."
He jerked his gaze away, rolling his eyes even though he didn't actually feel as annoyed at her as he wanted to be, "And stop making me feel sorry for you with that-" He found himself looking at her again and grunted because he knew he shouldn't have. That sorry look in her eyes, she could have asked him to fight a badger right now and he'd do it if she stopped looking so sad like that. Didn't anyone in this family ever give her a hug? He moved into her, his tail wrapping around her side, "Listen, you're a lovable brat sister, I'm just asking you to tone it down. It's kind of in my job description as a brother to call you out when no one else will... But it's also kind of a brotherly thing to listen and support you so if you do want to talk I'm here. Just know that I'm not afraid to talk honestly is all," He finished, hoping there was some bit of toughness left to his features, but he was certain she had melted his heart wide open at this point.
"Really?" Autumngossamer asked, almost stunned to hear that he hadn't automatically thought she was special. Maybe because she could hardly remember a time when he didn't treat her as a goddess, but also, "I was imagining this day the moment I set eyes on you, my heart was throbbing," She grinned tightly with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes as he spun her closer, "I'm happy that I can smile again too though, I just want you to know that if I had to relive everything I'd do it for you. I'm happy we could each give each other the life we wanted."
"You snuck into a den when the parents were gone with Sprout, right? So all we need to do is find a den and wait." Moltenmidnight said, but he was a little doubtful. He was a fairly large cat, long legs and dense muscles, he would not be fitting in any tight spaces. Fallpaw was more of a normal size but larger than a full grown ferret. This was going to be pretty tricky between the two of them, but getting stuck on what if's would keep them standing there all night long. Maybe that's what Fallpaw wanted, but not Moltenmidnight, "It's not exactly a genius plan, but, if it works, who cares?" racer
Faith Yuccablossom nodded to Fairytalepaw, "You can count on me!" She immediately began busying herself with various herbs around camp, some conventional, some not, but at least the meals she helped prepared looked half-decent.
"It's hard to believe anything anyone says these days when up until now it's been nothing but lies..." Divinepaw began to fire back, Harvestpaw's comments not soothing her turmoil in the least, but she trailed off when his tail brushed against her side. Her DayClan-raised siblings knew better than to pull a stunt like that, but not him. It wasn't his fault that he didn't know. Likewise, it wasn't his fault that they were raised apart and that their lives had traveled much different paths up until now. Her tears slowed significantly but she remained tense.
"You ask me to tone it down. What do you think I was trying to do when I came over here? Maybe I should take a page from Fallpaw's book and avoid everyone after all..." Strangely enough, even though Divinepaw had indicated she wanted to leave, she did not pull away from her brother's embrace. Instead she just sat there and stewed, her heart beating rapidly. Fight or flight. Her instincts told her to do one or the other but she had resolved herself to stay right here and was sick or arguing. What even was the third option? If there was, it was cold, she felt frozen in place, with nothing more to say and nowhere to go.
She begged for someone to come along and distract the two of them but most cats were either too caught up in the celebration or smart enough to stay away. Divinepaw sighed and put her paw over her face. She felt so trapped. I just want to disappear.
"I just want to disappear." She was unaware that she had spoken.
Harvestpaw listened and listened, did all DayClan cats whine this much? Like seriously, ONE lie and suddenly the whole world is a lie, if he didn't know any better anyone would think her entire world was over by how she was acting
"Who's Fallpaw?" Harvestpaw asked, hardly thinking anything of it. Since moving in Fallpaw had already avoided his family so well he hadn't even met her a second time. The only time he saw her was at the border that day, but that felt so long ago he barely recognized the name. He tried to think back into his mind, his mom always told him, she-cats don't want their problems to be solved, they want them to be listened to, but all toms ever wanted to do was solve them. That was pretty accurate, he just wanted Divinepaw to get over it, and when asking her to do that didn't work he was out of ideas.
"Yeah sorry my existence is such a hindrance on your once perfect life, glad you could grace me with y-" He began sarcastically, although not seeming that hurt, just uninterested. Wait... He could make her disappear! Okay not in the killing sense, but he definitely learned enough from his mom to find the right materials to do it. However that would be going with instinct to solve problems that people didn't want solved. Why was she acting so difficult!?
He paused noticing Divinepaw's teary gaze, yet the unrealistic amount of dread on her face. He recognized it well, anxiety and depression ran in the family so it wouldn't surprise him if maybe she had that too. Normally he would bluntly just suggest that she had a disorder, but even he knew a wedding wasn't the right place for it. He moved his tail from her, "Listen, I don't know how to help you and I'm getting the feeling you don't know what to do either. But I'm getting the clear suspicion that you're stressed so maybe we can start with that. Is there something I can do to help you out here or do you maybe just want me to listen and be here for you?"
Y'know, he had his own feelings and conversations he would have liked to talk about too, but sure. Why not? Divinepaw could just be his entire night since no one else was helping her... Apparently.
“Who’s Fallpaw…” Divinepaw echoed, surprising herself when she followed up her statement with a short, airy laugh. She could probably count the number of times she’d laughed on one paw. Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
Divinepaw’s emotions had always been best described as muted. She rarely smiled and never purred, but in exchange for numbness she was level-headed and slow to anger. She’d have outbursts now and again but didn’t hold onto those negative emotions long. The revelation that Autumgossamer and Lovesmitten were her real parents had broken down her guard. Now she felt everything on a new, larger scale. Mostly it was anger and betrayal, but her slip up just now promised another side that was a lot harder to accept. That there could be good from this too, even if it was sarcastic and mostly pissed her off.
She felt Harvestpaw shift slightly at her side and it brought her back to reality. She wiped what was left of the tears away and put her neutral mask back on, at least, as best she could, “I’d like to stop talking about me, thank you. I don’t need your help,” Divinepaw couldn’t just let the conversation stop there, though, that would be him winning, “Let’s change subjects. What… what do you think about a proper DayClan party? This is your first one… right?” She tried to be friendly but it was too forced and ultimately sounded sarcastic.

It was a scary place to be. The trek felt like it went on forever, but he made it. And for a while, Beastsrefrain watched the clearing for any sign of his brother or other Sunclan cats. He was invited for being part of Swiftclan, but being any closer to the Forest Clans led him to be cautious. Moreso, he wanted to see Autumngossamer again. It'd been a long time, and after just leaving, he felt some need to talk to her. Though that need any end up in his stamping his paws lightly on the ground before gathering his confidence. Swiftclan cats didn't really have any sort of possessions and he had no skills to make something. So Moonlitnocturne felt a little awkward approaching her empty-pawed, but there was nothing to be done. "Congratulations Autumngossamer." He finally said with a purr as he approached the ex-Soothsayer.
Had his sister ever talked to another person before? Also she mentioned Fallpaw, laughed at him for asking about this person, and then never followed it up with an answer. Additionally, how loyal was he to this spot? Was he willing to sit here and die with Divinepaw sobbing and scraping her mind for more awkward conversations?
"Yes, this is my first DayClan party, it's a wedding... Um, people are dancing so, yeah, seems like a legit festivity," He said with a shy worried smile, it was like walking on seashells talking to her... What was a harmless topic? He couldn't just stop talking now when apparently this conversation was still happening, "So Divinepaw, are you doing any jobs? I've gotten involved in den repairing, but I was thinking of being a chief, leading my own patrols, that sort of thing."
Autumngossamer gasped, "Moon! Love, I sent Moon off to spy on WinterClan for me and Fiery so no one would suspect us and boy did that pay off. He's really a key person that led us to our happiness. Thank-you so much for everything and for coming here."

Sure, he went and did it. Not that he felt like he did particularly much. But hey, long as it helped Autumn, it was worth it. Moonlit kept looking over his shoulders, still not letting himself lower his guard. "I'm glad you were able to find it. Not many deserve this kind of happiness like you do." It was clear even with his absence to Swift, he hadn't been able to shed that awkwardness.
Firetooth kept off to the side, awkwardly shuffling his paws in the grass as he watched the festivities from afar. Even though the Swiftclan Medicine Cat was technically a guest of honor, he couldn't help but feel self-conscious about being here. He was obviously thrilled for Autumngossamer and Lovesmitten; the two of them had to go through so much suffering to get to this fairytale ending, but that didn't mean his own troubles were any closer to being over with. The ginger tom was almost certain that Chimerastar might actually try and strangle him to death if he found out he came here tonight to celebrate his...'co-conspirator'. Pushing the recent arguments with his leader aside, he gave a tired sigh and looked over at the happy couple with a small, but genuine smile. Queens like his mother and Autumngossamer were why he kept on fighting. The pure bliss on his friend's face made it all worth it in the end.
"You gave me hope," Autumngossamer promised, "And... I could be myself around you," She smiled. Autumngossamer always were too much paint before, tried too hard to look good when in reality she looked quite average. But her smile was always genuine and in this moment it looked perfect on her lips with more beauty than any paint design could give to her. "If you ever need my help let me know. We're all a team," She said looking in the direction of Firetooth who stood off to the side before her gaze turned to Beastsrefrain once more, "I hope you're living a happy life Moonlit," She whispered at the end.
