Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

The moon sat high in the sky this night. Unusually bright. With the faintest of a red tinge around it. "Blood on the moon.." the black she-cat whispered into the night. "Something may be coming. To me or to someone else it is uncertain." She pulled her gaze from the moon to glance at the stars and their positions. Something was off. But it didn't feel ominous like it usually did when there was red around the moon. Her brow furrowed in confusion but she stayed where she was. Melted into the night's embrace. The only thing giving her away was her eyes. Those strange orbs of violet pink and blazing gold her one flaw in her opinion. The night grew silent like Death. Someone else was out here with her..
"Focus. We're hunting, not stargazing," Truly, though, the red-toned moon put Havilah slightly on edge as well. Whispers of the death of the Sun God had not taken long to reach the Regime and the fact that the deity's sister was stained truly was an ominous sight. His whisker twitched. Now he was the one getting distracted. Tasting the air, it didn't take him long to zero in on a relatively recent scent trail of a rabbit, "Come on then." He padded after the trail without looking to see is his companion was following him. As a Mercenary, all she had to do was watch and guard him.

Yennifer's lip twitched in a partial smirk as she stood and followed after Havilah, making no sound so he could hunt in peace without her scaring any prey away. It wasn't hard to keep her eyes on him. She kept glancing up at the moon once in awhile though. She didn't feel on edge. It felt relatively calm. But that calm could be the warning of a storm and she knew better than to let her guard down. She trained her eyes back on Havilah and watched him with slight interest as he hunted. "Stargazing can tell you many things Havilah." She said quietly back at his earlier comment. Her smirk returned momentarily.
"You sound like a Clan cat," Havilah said harshly, although there was some humor in his tone, "The have their healers spend their spare time gazing up at the night, trying to divine what the future holds based on the unchanging positions of the stars in the sky."
Many Regime cats believed in StarClan, of course, even he had at one point in his life. But all ancestors brought with them was advice. They couldn't help or intervene, at least not in ways that made a difference. And they certainly weren't going to fill anyone's stomach this evening, "You can stare at the stars all you want but it won't put food in your stomach," That being said, he had cast his eyes upwards, his expression peaceful, "But I will admit that they are beautiful..."

Yennifer chuckled lightly. "Too true. Too true. But nonetheless, knowledge is knowledge no matter where it is obtained." She gazed upward again with him and nodded. "Beauty in the simplest of forms. A dark sky dotted with light." She continued onward with him, periodically scenting the air as they moved. Her gaze now shifted in front of them again and her odd eyes scanning the deepest of shadows for the prey they were after. Her dark coat letting her melt into those shadows and look as if she was apart of the night come to life.
"If you say so," Havilah never could guess what Yen was thinking, sometimes it creeped him out but other times it drew him in. She wasn't like other cats, wasn't held back by the same things that made him hesitate, it was unnerving but even that term did not seem right. He tried not to think too hard about it as they trudged deeper into the Regime's territory.
Summertime was stranger to the auburn tom. Typically this land was cloaked in snow but in the heat of this season it refused to stick. It was much harder to track prey when they scents were mixed and pawsteps by and large erased, but he was managing. Tasting the air, he zeroed in on a common prey for the reason, "Rabbit," he motioned toward the scent trail, then carefully crept toward it, his forest green eyes scanning the surrounding for his brown-furred prey, "Keep your head low..."
With that, he crept off, silent as a ghost. It was Yennifer's job to act as back up or guardian so he could focus on the prey, not potential predators, should anything try to get in his way...

Yen watched him move off and kept a bit of distance so she wouldn't spook the rabbit but she could still make sure he was safe. Something was off about the scent to her though. She just couldn't put her paw on it. Something in it, muddled in, that she hadn't scented in a long time. She wrinkled her nose as the pungent scent wafted toward her on a light summer breeze. She narrowed her eyes as she scanned the area. Nothing in sight, nothing to be heard.
Something was not right.
"Havilah...?" She hissed as quietly as possible as she moved in the direction he had headed. His scent was the strongest but she wasn't a hunter. She felt her heart beat being to pick up as all the response she got was a few crickets chirping. She gritted her teeth as the pungent scent hit her again. Now it was familiar. And rare. So rare she hadn't smelled it in moons. "Fox.." she growled lowly as she moved to catch up with Havilah as silently as she could.
(hey feel free to poke me! I lose my threads so fast xD)
Havilah was closing in on the rabbit. His paw-steps didn't make a single sound as it passed through the leaves, he was silent as death, which is what he very much intended to bring. Although the auburn tom served as a Sentinel now, he was still considered one of the best Scouts in the Regime, always bringing something home with him even if his intention was never to hunt. It was either that or starve. Havilah refused to eat prey caught by any cat other than himself personally.
Ears angled back, he saw his opening and took it, dispatching the rabbit before it even realized he was there. It was a plump thing, fattening up for the coming season change. It would be a great meal. Much like his prey, however, he had no idea that a fox was at his back, slowly edging in for the kill...

A low growl tumbled from her chest as she came upon the fox, the fox who was eyeing Havilah like it's next meal. At the sound of her growl however it turned it's head to look for her. Black as she was she blended right into the thicket she hid within and as the russet beast turned away from Havilah she launched herself at it's face with a battle yowl. Claws scraped against flesh and fur, jaws snapped and yowls of triumph and pain ensued. It was an all out brawl. But the black she-cat had herself firmly attached the the fox's head, her claws dug in deep to it's face. She ripped and toes at its ears and eyes, attempting to blind it.
The fox gave a yelp as she got her intended target but as she did so it tossed it's head hard enough to dislodge her and send her sailing through the air into the thicket. Blood gushing from it's one eye and more from it's other wounds the fox snapped menacingly at Havilah before half blindly dashing back into the forest that it came from. Leaving the night quiet as death once again ..
