Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Alright listen up" mewed Honeysplash as he looked down at the three kits at his paws tapping each one of them on the head gently with his paw "I don't know which one of you did it, but the next time I find mud all over our nest you ALL will spend the day cleaning" He still felt rather awkward around the kits, but since being forced to be an involved father at least he was trying to teach them right from wrong
Grasskit was staring at the ground as Honeysplash got onto them, he wasnt sure what they had done wrong until the word mud left his fathers mouth. "Someone put mud in the nest?" He asked looking up with big blue eyes. Had he done it? He couldn't remember if he had though, the young tom would forget he had a tail if it wasnt constantly moving behind him. "I dont think I did it..." his words were genuine, as he struggled to remember if he was the culprit.
"It wasn't me," Dragonkit assured. His stubby white coat was slicked with mud on his flank and between his eyes, but that could have been from laying in the nest instead of tracking in the mud. "Are you sure it was us?" He offered his biggest, most innocent smile that he had learned from the other kittens. His friends had told him it would get him out of many sticky situations.

"Yes I'm sure" he replied lifting a paw and ruffling the fur on Dragonkit's head gently, the smile not working it's magic. After all Honeysplash himself had mastered that innocent smile long ago, it being a large part of why she-cats had a hard time resisting his advances "You are not in trouble, this time. Just be more careful"
“Well someone bette the cleaning it! I’m not sleeping in a muddy nest!” She didn’t do it, there was no way the little lady would be anywhere near mud if she could help it. Ladykit wrinkles her nose at the mere idea of having to sleep or be near mud. Whoever had done it was getting her claws in their face! Maybe a scratch too!
Dragonkit looked dazed, overwhelmed by his father's affections. He loved Honeysplash, and he felt much better knowing they weren't going to be in trouble. "Maybe we can all clean it up together!" he offered, eager to impress.

Honeysplash nodded in approval "If all three of you work together it will get done in no time" he nosed Ladykit gently "If you don't want a dirty nest then you should work with your brothers"
“Why should I help clean it when I didn’t make the mess! The culprit should have to do it!” Ladykit’s fur stood on end at the mere thought have cleansing that mess. No way was she cleaning someone else’s mess! An idea occurred to her. Eyes brightened up, and fur laid flat. “Let’s find the culprit! We can make them do the cleaning and use our noses to locate them!”
Grasskit grumbled at his sisters idea, he didn't wanna do that. "That sounds like more work though, it would be much easier and faster to just clean the nest and then I can nap again." Yea, he was lazy but so what. He looked at Ladykit and stuck out his tongue before getting up and moving to stand beside Honeysplash. "I vote we just clean it up." He really didn't want to do that either, but her plan would take so much longer and he was not about that life at all.
Catch the culprit? He considered that briefly, but Grasskit didn't seem happy with the idea. And Honeysplash had approved of Dragonkit's idea, so he was happy to listen to him.
Dragonkit waddled in front of his father as well, but sat down and looked him into the eye. "Not the three of us, all of us," he insisted firmly. "Two is the bush is worth five in the den. You have to help us!"

Honeysplash chuckled leaning down and pressing his nose to Dragonkit's head "Very well" he turned to Ladykit "Sometimes in life you have to clean up messes that you don't make in order to keep the peace"
