Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It had been a nervous few days since the takeover. Watching half the clan get imprisoned, the other just idly watching. It was madness. And Anemoneshade couldn't help beating herself up. Cause she was just watching it too. She should have done something, anything. She'd make a move to do something only to be called back by her father. And the glimmer in his eyes, a kind that begged her not to do anything dangerous, kept her quiet. She couldn't live like that anymore. She needed to get to the bottom of this, find out why. There had to be a reason, a good one. It's what she wanted to believe. So when she asked the guard if she could speak to Bloodystar, she got a lukewarm answer. One that she didn't like. "Can you at least tell him I'd like to speak to him?" She asked, pleaded. Some part of her heart shook and shuddered at the thought of even talking to him, speaking his name.
"Uh... sure." Oakshade said, shuffling to his paws a bit awkwardly. He didn't like telling anyone no much less a sweet little she-cat like Anemoneshade. She had been so polite, after all! He padded away from the entrance and returned a few moments later with Bloodystar at his side.
The young High Priest looked radiant as always. Bright ginger, fur licked by the sun itself, clung to his muscular frame at all the right angles. He had bloody red swirling tabby stripes which he used as guidelines for his shimmery gold body paint. He was wearing the pattern of a leader but still had bright red paint at the corners of his eyes, a trademark, extended now slightly below his eyeline to hide the dark circles. When Bloodystar leveled his celadon eyes to meet Anemoneshade's, his usually harsh expression softened slightly, "What do you need, Anemoneshade?"

Anemoneshade half expected to be shoved to the side again, like last time. But ended up more surprised that Oakshade slipped back into the den. Which was way further than she had gotten before. But now what? How exactly could she get Bloodystar to talk to her, let alone find out his reasoning for all this? The lilac and white she-cat bit her lower lip, chewing on it as she thought. But when he came out, she let it go. Anemoneshade couldn't help being a little awe-struck, and she definitely stared too much before refocusing. Nope, she was completely out of her league. Besides, he never paid any mind to her. What made her think that might change? Anemone quickly dipped her head to Oakshade as thanks before looking back at Bloodystar.
"I'm sorry for bothering you, ...Bloodystar. Our rounds with the prisoners have been going smoothly, but there are a lot of questions being whispered. A lot of uncertainties and fears. While I've told them to keep their faith, their faces tell me they don't believe it. I'd like to be able to give them an answer, or some comfort. But I feel I've also grown lost since... it all happened. I was hoping I could get some guidance from you, but I understand you are busy." Even with the pauses, the brief bites on her lips again, Anemoneshade stood tall. Like she wasn't gonna back down. She knew the kind of language to use, the words rough as she just wanted to ask him directly. But, the longer she could stay out of prison, the longer she could investigate. And maybe, find that reason. The good one that she believed was true.
Bloodystar's tone of voice was as dark as his expression. If he had been smiling before he was steal-faced now, not reveling a single emotion, the mere mention of prisoners being enough to shut him down, "The reason they are there is because they would not listen to my advice. What makes you think hearing the same lecture from you would make them believe any different? I appreciate your dedication and your honesty, but the only way the prisoners will come to terms with the truth is all on their own."

Anemoneshade was never good at masking her feelings. It might have been what made the shocked expression on her face hurt more. She should have expected this, the moment prisoners mentioned his face hardened. Not that she was one to stop trying to get her way even when it got hard. For as much as her mind was scrambling for answers, it went back to something else one of them asked her.
Cause who would listen to the prison warden for salvation?
Might it have been an easier pill to swallow if it was given with sugar and not salt? But as soon as the thought sprung up, she pushed it back down. Bloodyrondo had his reasons, and he almost looked tired. Her instinct was to push back, but she thought better of it and dipped her head. Anemoneshade couldn't find the gall to shove him out like everyone now. "Very well. I will drop the issue. Is there anything I can do to have you forgive this trespass?"
Bloodystar leaned forward and put his face inches away from Anemoneshade's, his whiskers brushing against hers, a gentle expression on his face in contrast to the harsh look he was wearing just moments before. Up close she would be able to pick up the faint scent of lavendar and mint that always clung to his fur, as well as the dark circles beneath his eyes that not even the best paint in the Clan could fully cover, "You can give me a smile. You're too pretty to be brooding around so much, Anemoneshade. Worry about yourself first and everyone else second and you'll find life is a lot more enjoyable."

(OMG I'M GONNA SLAP THIS FOOL)
Anemoneshade held her breath, eyes closing as Bloodystar got closer to her. She waited for something, anything. She had disrespected him, and she knew he would make good on any promise to punish her. But then nothing happened, and she waited some more. But still, nothing happened. So her brown eyes like fertile soil opened to find Bloodystar right in front of her, staring at her... gently. Contrastly, her own fur was filled with the smell of pine and the warm Sunclan wind that she ran through to find prey. It was maybe the only time she'd see him this close, so she drank in each detail. The sweet smell of herbs and how tired he looked. Anemoneshade couldn't really stop that bright-eyed look, not till one of them backed up. But neither did. And her words caught in her throat when Bloodystar spoke.
And for the briefest of moments, he could have caught a shine of annoyance in her eyes. But it was gone just as fast and the lilac she-cat let herself be the first to take a step back. "Very well, Bloodystar. Thanks for talking with me." She dipped her head, a small smile on her face when she lifted her head. "Take care. And you as well, Oakshade."
