Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. "Daddy, please, can you train me so poisons are less effective on me? I know you are resistant to most and I need to be like that too," Discordantmeldoy purred, rubbing her face against Funk's with more affection than she'd ever given him. She had grown into a dangerous combination of both of her parents. Short, shiny fur and a slender frame from her father; deadly claws and sharp, cunning eyes from her mother. A beautiful she-cat to be sure, but disarming, like a song place a half step off key, "I'll do anything you ask~"

It must have been that disarming nature that even got Discordantmelody in here in the first place. Ever since they finished cleaning out the apartment, Funk had stayed holed up in his den, trying to put together the pieces of everything they found. While Senescence said she could read it, she refused to, leaving Funk scrambling for an answer. It was a way back to form, back to working himself to the bone just like he used to.
It had been a week since Sunclan was taken over by Bloobyrondo and Funk was well aware of everything thanks to Fox. While he wouldn't keep track of his kids, he heard she loathed this one. He droned, not really looking up from his book, "Roulette. That's all it is." At this point, he reached over to grab something. His paw swat at the darkness before coming back, blood dripping down his paw from a slice across it. "Stab yourself once, twice, a thousand times. Roll the dice. Pay the price."
Discordantmelody continued to wear her trademark bemused smile but she was actually growing pretty annoyed. Funk had never really had anything that she wanted until now, and she hated how hard he was making it to get it, "You and I both know it's not just roulette, there's a science to it, and no cat in the world knows it better than you. Please please please, daddy, I need to be immune to poison, if you give me that ability then I promise I'll leave you alone for awhile."

Funk wiped his paw on the ground, a bloody smear beginning to dry as he reached over to grab his supply of cobwebs. He wrapped his paw up as Discordantmelody went on. He never expected any of his kits to interact with him, but if they did, did it really have to be when they wanted something? He could guess the reason, that she didn't wanna get poisoned by Foxbane again. He didn't take many and soon placed the swath back where it was in the pile of other herbs. "You really expect me to believe that?" She had always been poking her head around here, and Funk didn't expect that to stop any time soon. "Play it straight. I doubt you're that concerned about a snake bite or two."
