Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This is the first part of the NightClan/WinterClan plot. This is going to be a patrol that will be taken prisoner by WinterClan, and as a result incite retaliation from NightClan. )
Smallspiral gritted her teeth as she led the patrol near the border of WinterClan. Many moons had passed since Firestorm had returned with the news of Thistlebriar's patrol having gone to WinterClan and wound up... imprisoned there. And Shiverstar's response had been to do nothing it had left Smallspiral burning with fury. And when Burningstar took over at first it seemed like much the same... Until Burningstar led the attack on SpringClan and revealed possible plans to use NightClan's conquering of SpringClan to push Leatherstar to return the NightClan prisoners WinterClan held.
Smallspiral glared over the border, barring her teeth. She didn't know if any cat was out there... but if they were they'd better watch out. Under Burningstar, NightClan wasn't going to be keeping to themselves and ignoring everything going on outside their borders. And they weren't going to stand for their cats being held trapped.
Smallspiral glanced at her patrol, since Fawnpaw was fairly young, Burningstar had added an extra warrior to ensure the safety of the young apprentice, and they were going by WinterClan territory.
Smallspiral was sorely tempted to go push the border and mark on WinterClan land. A subtle sign that NightClan wasn't afraid of them and would in fact be coming for them.
She paused suddenly. Why should they wait? They were so close to their imprisoned clanmates, her imprisoned brother and all they needed to do was... sneak onto WinterClan territory and take them back. She looked up at the sky, the sun had gone down as they'd left a little after sunhigh, the group still a bit weary from the previous days trek from NightClan to SpringClan territory.
"Everyone hold up for a second," Smallspiral said turning to the group. "I'm thinking since evening is nearly upon us, I'm thinking we can sneak onto WinterClan territory. Maybe even... try to see if we can orchestrate a little jailbreak." She added looking at the members. "They've taken our own and it's time we got them back. And even if we don't make it to the prison, we can definitely get a lay of the land which would be useful for whenever Burningstar does decide we're going to get our clanmates back one way or another."
She thought it would be a normal patrol, a normal day. She thought wrong.
Honeywraith stopped, ears pricked as she listened to Smallspire's proposal. Delightful. "I'm in," she said, cutting to the chase quickly. Looking to the other two patrol members. She hoped her voice had some influence. She was smart enough to know it was a more than two cats kind mission. "I mean, they wouldn't be expecting it anyway. It's the start of winter, and snow is the worst there in this season right? So now or never," the almost all black she-cat further said to assert her confidence in not only herself, but them.

"Sounds like an adventure im ready for." Rookfire purred joining the cats around Smallspiral. "They are probably all holed up at the top of the mountain anyways. They probably cant even come down to patrol their borders properly."
Smallspiral nodded pleased by her patrols agreement. “Then let’s go. We’ll sneak in up ahead, their scent isn’t as fresh. They haven’t been around recently,” she meowed leading the way around a snowy bush and crossing the border onto WinterClan territory. Tail up beckoning for her patrol to follow
(So this kind of got left in the dust. I would still like to have some fun with those who are down for roleplaying this out to have our cats get taken by WinterClan (and give WinterClan cats some prisoners to well imprison)
NightClan
Smallspiral lifted her tail as she stepped over WinterClan's border and began sneaking into the territory taking point as she opened her mouth to scent the air. Ears pricked. She glanced back at her clanmates, knowing that now silence was key. None of them were really spies per say, but she was determined to finally get her brother back after so long. So she was willing to risk this.
WinterClan
Crimsonrose huffed, she'd been tasked with patrolling of all things. This had to be some form of punishment for getting annoyed with Leatherstar after he'd come back from SunClan. But he'd gone off to SunCult, without her. She had every right to get mad at him. Challenge him to a very abrupt training session. (He should've known her well enough that she was unorthodox teacher, and leaping at her student without warning was 100% within bounds... and the sitting on him portion was just to instill a lesson of 'do not go off without at least telling your shard where you're going, so she can come save you and murder any who hurt you'.
But she'd had to let him up eventually, and he'd not been pleased. He still believed he'd done what was right seeing Littlebird and his kits. And she did understand a little bit. But he could've told her, or at least brought her to the border. At least then she'd be in range to save him more easily.
But yes, being tasked leading a patrol of some WinterClan cats had not been in her plans today. She hoped someone would cause trouble so she could have some fun. Then it'd be all worth it.

NIGHTCLAN
Rookfire stepped slowly behind Smallspiral. "Pssst. Hey are you sure this is a good idea?" His ears were pressed back against his black gray ad white pelt. His gold eyes gleaming with worry.
WINTERCLAN
Silverpw stayed close to Crimsonrose as they traveled down the mountain. It wasn't hard to walk the rugged territory now that she was a few moons older from when she had been given to Crimsonrose as a novice. She was excited to be out on a border patrol.
Smallspiral gritted her teeth, now that they were on WinterClan territory... Not really. The scent of WinterClan seemed to be everywhere, she'd hoped there'd be a scent trail they could come across that could lead them to WinterClan. But now that they were here, no such thing appeared for them. Finding their way to the camp wasn't going to be as straightforwards as she had hoped. "Yeah... maybe marching on a camp where we have no idea where we're going... is a bit of a bad idea." She conceded. "I guess we could go around the border instead... Pick out weak points? Then we could go back to Burningstar and tell her. And then we can have the whole clan come rescue the prisoners."
She knew small operations were possible. but with no idea where to go. They'd likely wind up hopelessly lost and wander right into WinterClan cat's paws. Better to bring a whole fighting force to barrel through WinterClan, then they'd win for sure.
WinterClan
Crimsonrose glanced back to make sure Silverpaw was following close behind. Seeing her apprentices excitement did raise her spirits some. In the league a cat around Silverpaw's age would've already killed. In a way Crimsonrose was starting to learn that when you had no qualms taking lives, you lost the wonder of life. The beauty of living. Of protecting and watching something weaker flourish into something great.
And also you just couldn't enjoy the simple things in life. Like a border patrol over the rugged terrain and-
Her thoughts trailed off as she came to a stop mouth open scenting the air. Hmm... something smelled off, a faint scent of something... not WinterClan was on the weak breeze.
