Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A blanket frost spread thick across DayClan's land as though it were a disease. DayClan cats from all across the land began to run from the spreading frost, but were soon devoured and frozen into icy statues of themselves. Most these cats were recognizable, but one thing stood out, there were some cats that didn't freeze. The cats that weren't frozen were almost all the new SunClan cats that had arrived in DayClan, but there were also plenty of other DayClan cats frozen as well. A voice echoed in their heads, “Cold hearts will freeze days light into darkness. Drive out the cold hearted among you or be frozen by their manipulative souls.”
With that Divinepaw, Vibrantpaw, and Frozenkit awoke, it was the middle of the night, but a trail of frost crept from each of their nests like a path, leading them out towards the center of camp like a web. It was drawing them forward to meet at the center so they could unite.
Divinepaw was already standing in the center of camp, pressing her paw gently against the frost, a curious expression on her face. When she heard Vibrantpaw's pawsteps she lifted her head to identify her companion. When she realized who it was, her whiskers twitched ever so slightly and she looked back to the ground, ignoring her.
(Since she's the only one with this prophecy I'm going to insert her brother in! xD)
The trail of frost subsided at the cusp of the ruins in camp. Ominous winds ruffled her fur, blowing past with a stinging cold that felt more like biting than a freezing breeze. Ahead of her in the ruins was Harvestpaw, perched atop a ruin. The way he stared up at the stars anyone could have thought they were in deep conversation from the way his expression changed the longer he stared. Something about the night air must have changed as all at once he turned to see Divinepaw. He let out a yawn before deciding to climb down, possibly out of the fear that Divinepaw would alert his parents that he was up. "What are you doing up so late?"
"I should be the one asking you that," Divinepaw countered, a ghost of a frown appearance on her delicate features. She still hadn't really opened up to any cat in her new family much less Harvestpaw. His words from Autumngossamer and Lovesmitten's wedding still stung even now, but she wouldn't let the pain turn to anger or worse. She had to conquer it. So, she took a deep breath and tried to wear her neutral mask as she jumped up next to her littermate, "In my opinion, you are way more suspicious."
Harvestpaw's ears flattened, but he didn't fight her. She could easily say that she was awoken by him missing and then his parents would worry about him. "I'm scared of dying in my sleep so some nights I just can't make myself fall asleep. Your turn."
Divinepaw wasn't expecting that answer. It was the kind of thing that a kit would say then go on to describe monsters under their nests. And, for the record, dying in one's sleep was the preferred way to die over literally any other option, why would that keep him up, of all things? She was suspicious that he was lying, but Harvestpaw had only ever been honest to her, it was one of his most annoying traits. She'd have to let this one go. They had more pressing matters at the moment.
"I had a dream," She decided to be honest too, it's not like she had anything to lose, their relationship was borderline abysmal already, "“Cold hearts will freeze days light into darkness. Drive out the cold hearted among you or be frozen by their manipulative souls.” Any kit who heard that would say it was referring to SunClan cats, but... I don't know, something doesn't feel right. StarClan's riddles are never that simple."
