Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Dawningpaw walked into camp for the fourth time with a massive rabbit hanging from her jaws. She was one of the SunClan refugees who fled her home after witnessing her priest promise attack the priestess Littlestar. Since coming to DayClan everything felt so much more safe, welcoming, even when people were trying to be rude it was nothing compared to SunClan cats attitudes! One thing she had yet to understand was that in DayClan there were less mouths to feed and plentiful prey. There was no need for her to hunt as much as she did.
"I'm almost getting dizzy, watching you walk in and out of camp so often. Aren't you the least bit tired, young one?" Since arriving in Dayclan from Primal Instinct, Gravelshell had taken nearly the direct opposite approach than the apprentice had; spending most of her free time lounging around and taking naps, or occasionally sharing a story or two with the kits. While she was at least self-aware enough to admit some of that was plain old laziness, most of it was taking advantage of the feeling of not being responsible for an entire clan anymore. With her daughter on the Immortal Council, she could watch Yuccablossom learn to deal with that responsibility instead. Smiling kindly, she gestured with her head to a sunny spot just beside her. "Why don't you give your paws a rest for a bit? I assure you the prey isn't going to go anywhere."
"Oh um," Dawningpaw bit her lip, looking at the freshkill pile anxiously, as though suddenly after all of that hunting she would find it wasn't enough, but smiled at progress, "Yeah, you're right." She settled down onto the floor, "Initiates, I mean, new people in SunClan were expected to really prove their worth. It's kind of a new concept to just be unconditionally accepted? I just want to show that I can pull my weight and I'm not evil like everyone thinks. I mean, I know I'm not the only one being judged since there's a lot of SunClan cats here, but it's a worry," She explained, her green eyes staring into Gravelshell's before blushing in embarrassment at how much she unloaded onto the warrior in one short conversation, "I'm Dawningpaw," She said more kindly.
