Brightkit met his gaze with her own, not flinching under the scrutiny nor his sudden appearance out of no where "We were worried about you!!" she chirped rising to her paws and weaving through his paws rubbing her cheek up against his legs as she moved through them. They weren't doing anything wrong, and she wasn't about to let him tell her otherwise "You are late for morning prayers and Dragonkit thought you were dead!! Then we thought maybe your were a ghost, we were sooooo scared"
Dragonkit whirled around at the tom's voice and cringed away. He didn't like the angry look in his eyes. "I'm sorry," he whimpered, "We really were worried about you when you weren't in here." His tail waved unhappily over the ground. Were they going to get into trouble? Now that he looked past Bloodyrondo, he could see the entrance to the other part of the den, and he felt silly for missing it before.

Brightkit purred rubbing up against him, slowly forming knots in his long coat "but it is all ok now!! You are here and doing good" but suddenly her voice dropped, jumping backwards and scrambling to where Dragonkit stood "but what if he really is dead, and a dark forest cat has him possessed"
"The Sun God protects us from the Dark Forest, he would never let an evil spirit anywhere near our camp," But Brightkit did bring up a good point. In the absence of their deity, who would protect SunClan from the unknown evils of the darkest part of the afterlife? Surely the ancients would watch out for them, but Bloodyrondo would ask the spirits who granted him his nine lives, just to be safe, "Thank you for worrying about me." He licked Dragonkit on the top of the head, his anger from earlier evaporating as his thoughts trailed elsewhere.

"but the sun god is gone" she pointed out, sitting back down and wrapping her tail around her paws. "If hes gone, he can't protect SunClan until he comes back" Brightkit blinked, smiling slightly "It just means that is your job now!"
"The Sun God is not really gone. He remains in my heart as well as yours. Have faith," He gave Brightkit a lick on the top of the head now and gently rested his paw against her side, "How about you two help me lead morning prayers?"

Ideas started turning over in her mind, about how she could use this to her advantage. A purr rumbled in her throat "Do you mean that?" she asked sweetly
"I keep my promises, little one. You and Dragonkit may offer your own prayers in front of the entire Clan after I lead the standard morning ones," What harm could it do? Kits were kits, all they dreamed of was playing and eating. It would certainly be the morale booster that the Clan needed to have two of the youngest ones standing proudly, "Prayers are late enough as it is, so we had better hurry!"
With that, Bloodyrondo booped both kits on the top of the head and padded out to his platform, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for our morning prayers!"

Brightkit scampered behind Bloodyrondo excited about the prospect of getting to speak in front of the whole clan. It wasn't something she had ever done before as she sat down at the tom's paws
Dragonkit was awestruck. The High Priest licked him on the head and said nice things to him. They were even going to lead the prayer! He turned to look at Brightkit and mewed to her solemnly, "this is the best moment of my entire life."
Then he sprang to his paws and scrambled after the pair.
"I don't know! All my dreams are coming true! I've always wanted to do this," he told her, despite having come up with that dream only a few minutes ago. "Maybe I'll pray for the Sun God to bring me lots of yummy plants to eat."
Bloodystar began morning prayers with the kits sitting in front of him, his fluffy red tail wrapped around their paws to make sure they didn't edge too close to the cliff. It would't be the first time a kit took a tumble from here but it would be the first time with an audience. He wasn't going to let that happen under his watch, "... and before the closing of our daily prayers, I have a couple of guests here who are eager to offer their own. Which one of you would like to go first?"

“I will” she chirped proudly standing up before the crowd with a big grin on her face” oh Sun God, Dragonkit is very hungry please give him lots of yummy plants to eat. Ooohhh and Bloodystar!!! He was grumpy this morning, please let him have a better day and bless him with patience!!”
"Yeah!" Dragonkit waddled up next to Brightkit. "Bloodystar is the best, make him very happy, please Sun God! And Brightkit is being really nice, you should give her plants to eat too, and let her grow really fast and be a warrior!"
