Brightkit watched carefully for Bloodyrondo to emerge from his den. She had been anxiously waiting on him to come out to lead their morning prayers so that she could pester him. She was far to young to understand everything that was going on, so life was continuing on as normal.. well mostly. Bloodyrondo seemed even more grumpy than normal lately, and despite her parent's protests she seemed dead set on getting under his skin.
Dragonkit crept up beside her using all of his meager stealth skills. He had been practicing, though his instincts weren't very good yet, and everyone had been too busy to teach him so far. Well, maybe they were busy now, but before he had simply been too young. So now that he was read,y he was going to teach himself how to be the bestest hunter in the world.
"What are you doing?" he whispered loudly in her ear.

Brightkit flicked one ear toward the other kit, but her eyes never left the High Priest's den, "I'm waiting on Bloodyrondo" it wasn''t a lie, although it wasn't the entire truth either. She couldn't wait to see his reaction to her newest hatched plan
"Why?" He kept his muzzle very close to her ear, though he was staring past into the den as well. "Is he coming out soon? Is he going to give you a secret where-ior mission?"

Brightkit nodded in agreement, now that it was technically his idea Bloodyrondo couldn’t blame it on her. After all with the other kit so worried about him, why wouldn’t they go check on their new priest? With that she began to run up the hill until they were outside his den “you first “ she whispered “I don’t want to walk in on a dead body”
“Okay- wait, a dead body?!” Dragonkit shrieked and sprang backward. “No! Why would there be a body? I don’t want to see another body! Not if it was alive before!” Learning about prey deaths had been very traumatic for him. He had refused to eat prey with fur every since.

Brightkit blinked, most kits would have jumped at the opportunity “Dude, It’s just a joke”she meowed with laughter, looking into the darkness... at least it was mostly a joke anyway. “You know where you said he might be hurt?”
"Are-are you sure?" His eyes blown wide, Dragonkit cowered away. It took him a minute until he understood what she was talking about. Then he giggled a little. "Oh, oh I did say that! Oh, okay, maybe it was funny!" He giggled a little, but now he was really afraid Bloodyrondo was dead. "Um, okay, so... let's go in, I guess."

Brightkit sighed, moving past the nervous tom and entering into the darkness of the den. She had never been inside of it, and wasn't aware of the two side chambers. She looked around, the aroma of herbs filling her nose "Looks like it's empty"
Hearing the pitter patter of pawsteps, Bloodyrondo first thought that Littlecrow's kits had finally awoken. While he certainly could have pulled himself away - the kits probably slept better when he was not around - he had decided to have a lazy morning with them. However, as his eyes fluttered open, he counted each one still sound asleep. He sighed loudly, loud enough for the kits near him to stir, but not wake; surely Brightkit and Dragonkit would hear him, but how would they react?
The tiny kit froze as his white fur spiked. "Did-did you hear that?" The sigh scared him. Was it the wind, or was there was some ghost lurking inside the den? Was it the Sun God?!

Unlike Dragonkit, Brightkit was far to logical for something so simple to scare her, but knowing how easily the other kit got scared she decided to play along "What if it was a ghost?" she asked widening her eyes looking around "what if he really did die, and his ghost has come back to haunt us!"

Brightkit nodded calling out "Yeah big bro Bloodyrondo, we are here to help you!!!" she called out loudly "I brought you a surprise!!!" she added, hoping it would entice him to come out.. or keep him away.. she wasn't sure yet. The last time they had been together she had rubbed glue all over his pelt so he probably wouldn't be happy to see her
That did it; the kits at his side were stirring and even Jetfire's ears seemed to twitch at this. He didn't expect her to wake easily, though, the herbs that he had given her along with the kits in her belly really did drain a lot of energy. Bloodyrondo rose from the nest with a scowl on his face. He rose from his nest and padded toward the intruders.
"There is no reason in the world for you two to be here let alone yowling like that." He said, celadon eyes blazing as he leveled them with each kit. He wasn't actually that mad but he didn't want them thinking he was some push over like Littlecrow was, "What in the world do you want?"
