Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Luckypaw had returned from SummerClan when he heard about the raid on his clan. He was still in shock to see how injured his clanmates were, not to mention when all of the faces he couldn't find in the crowd anymore... bodies they had been forced to leave behind. He shuddered at the painful thought. He had been lucky to escape that fight because he might've ended up as one of those corpses too.
Luckypaw plodded at the end of the group with his ears down. Traveling was exhausting, and they were all hungry. Maybe he could go hunting and find them something to eat, to keep up their strength? He lifted his head and looked around.
Seapaw had been one of the apprentices to remain behind in Swiftclan during the exchange, also meaning that when Sunclan invaded she was right in the middle of it. Her white pelt was spattered with claw marks, none too deep, they looked far worse than they felt and she considered herself lucky that she came out of it as well as she did.
She sat grumbling, her small and dainty frame hunched over when she spotted Luckypaw and jumped to her paws, the turquoise beads around her neck bouncing lightly against her chest. "Luckypaw! You're going hunting? Please let me come, no one will let me do anything and I swear i'm about to lose my mind." She had been stuck in camp, something she hated but with her wounds even though superficial for the most part no one was allowing her to help. She was used to the treatment, she looked as if she would break if you poked her too hard, but the rowdy she-cat seldom let her fragile look stop her.
Luckypaw brightened when someone came his way, but his face fell when he saw who it was. "I don't know, Seapaw," he shuffled his paws and stared down at them. "You look pretty hurt. I don't want to make that worse. Everyone will be so mad..." He didn't want to hunt alone and he felt terrible for not letting her come with. But it didn't change the facts: she looked fragile, her wounds looked deep through her fur, and he didn't want to hurt his clanmate.
The white she-cats ear flattened against her head, the momentary look of excitement Luckypaw had shown of course raised her hopes making it hurt that much more when he tried to deny her. "I should get to decide if i'm fit enough! They are just scratches, I'm not even bleeding." She lifted one of her chocolate dipped paws and stomped it as she spoke, she was getting tired of being told she couldn't do things.
Seapaw took a breath to try and cool herself down, it wasn't her denmates fault. "Sorry... I just really want to get out of camp, things are, well you can see." With her anger fading, a look of sadness took hold for the destruction that ravaged their home. "Please, Luckypaw..."
Luckypaw wavered. Did he really have to make this decision? He was just an apprentice. It wasn't fair to ask him to make this decision, he didn't even think he should be leaving without his mentor or a patrol. But the clan was struggling, their cats were badly injured and morale was low. It was time to grow up and be the warrior his clan needed him to be. Luckypaw took a deep breath.
"Okay, you can come. But if you re-open your wounds and start bleeding, you're coming right back here and I'm not letting you leave the group until you're completely healed. Got it?" The cream tomcat raised his chin. He wasn't going to move a muscle until she agreed to his decision.
Seapaw let out a squeak of excitement when he finally agreed. "You have my word!" She was finally getting out of the camp, away from the fog of sadness that had swallowed Swiftclan and it was all thanks to Luckypaw. "Can we go now?" She was bouncing lighting from paw to paw, her beads dancing around her neck.
"Yeah, let's go." A smile teased at his lips. Maybe he had made the right decision - she looked pretty happy now. "Have you had a look around to see where the good hunting is?" Luckypaw had kept close to the group as they traveled, so he wasn't sure what the surrounding terrain was like today.
