As was typical of the abnormally young warrior, these days he could be found in his own company more often than that of others and it almost looked as if he were brooding to another cats. He wasn't, not really. He was put on the fast track to promotion and had been a warrior for about six moons. Lochflare was only four seasons old and practically set a record for being one of the clans' youngest warriors for the longest time. As a result, he felt a bit estranged from the other apprentices and warriors, even though his siblings were in a similar position as him.
The black and brown tom was laying atop a rather large rock and rolled over onto his back, his paws gently smacking at an abandoned spiderweb that swung lazily from above. "I wonder what it's like to be a spider." He mused thoughtfully to himself, thinking himself to be completely alone in that moment and deep in thought.
The small white head of Snowpaw loomed over the tom, her blue eyes giving him a curious look. After a moment she let out a small giggle. "That's a funny thing to say, but maybe you should ask a spider." She drew back after a moment and sat down just behind him. She honestly wasn't used to being by herself, but Frostpaw was out training and so she had been forced to look for other company. This wasn't such a bad thing since she enjoyed making new friends, but it still felt somewhat lonely without her sister.

"Hey Snowpaw." The tom angled his head so she was in full view and grinned at her loosely. "I would ask if I could but I'm afraid I don't speak spider." There was mock sorrow filling his voice and he swatted the cobweb a bit too hard and it detached from its perch up high. "Oh well, it was fun while it lasted." He sighed, sitting up and wiping the sticky thread off of his paw and on the rock.
"You could always learn you know. How hard can it really be to speak spider?" She hopped down from the rock before sitting down to look up at him. "Or you could just find something else to do. I was honestly about to go out and hunt. Would you like to join me?" It seemed odd to ask a warrior to join her for hunting, but he honestly didn't look like he was that much older than her so perhaps it wouldn't be seen as odd? She didn't spend much time thinking on that anyway since it was hardly something that could really worry the young she cat.

He nodded, excited by the idea. He was so much younger than many of the warriors and apprentices never invited him to hunt these days which was disappointing. Warriors were so boring and strict and serious... He probably shouldn't think that way as a warrior himself but his mentality was different than a lot of theirs, unfortunately. "Yeah, sure! It sounds easier and more than than trying to speak spider," he replied with a mrrow of amusement.
Snowpaw couldn't hide a small grin as she turned to head out into the territory. Honestly, she had to be careful when she was hunting. Her white pelt made it hard to hide herself like most of her clanmates did. "How did you manage to become a warrior so soon? They made me wait forever just to become an apprentice." There was no anger or malcontent in her voice. She was really just curious. Frostpaw had told her that it was her fault that both of them had to wait to be promoted, that even though she had been ready moons ago, Snowpaw had held her back. It did bother her a bit, but she didn't want to mention this to her new friend.

"I think Foxstar needed warriors. I became an apprentice as soon as I was weaned from my mother and then a warrior just after six moons along with my littermates." He admitted. In his opinion, he had been promoted too early in both aspects as he had not even been fully grown as a warrior. Lochflare was lucky that he had some talent and could keep up but not all the kits were so lucky and struggled through their training. "Plus, I'm good with my paws," He gloated with a grin, holding up one large black paw. On top of being handsome, the warrior was practically a wall of muscle and the longer he was a warrior to bigger and stronger he became.
"How come it took you forever to become an apprentice?" His tone was light and made it clear that she was welcome to reject his question and not answer it if she didn't want.
Snowpaw's expression actually grew uncomfortable when he asked her why it had taken so long for her to become an apprentice, but after a moment she forced a smile. "Well, Frostpaw says it's my fault we had to wait until we were six moons old. She's been ready for at least two moons, but my lack of skill held her back. I suppose that just means I need to work harder." It was true that Frostpaw was much more skilled than she was and of course her sister never missed an opportunity to show off and embarrass her. She didn't want to dwell on this however so after a moment she changed directions. "Come this way! I heard someone mention a new rabbit burrow near the MoonClan border. Maybe we can catch a few rabbits."

He noticed her forced smile an dhow uncomfortable the apprentice seemed even as she explained. He felt sorry for her suddenly and realized how unfairly he had been promoted. When he became a warrior the brown and black tom did not have hardly any skills compared to how he should have been. The warrior decided not to press her any further but rather to accept her answer with a nod and a twitch of his ears. "I hope you're fast. I haven't done much rabbit catching!" He admitted with a purr. His skills were not what they should have been and he was a much more skilled fighter than a hunter, that was where almost every ounce of training had gone into.
"Well I've honestly never tried to catch a rabbit. I'm not sure if I'll be fast enough or not." Of course she was going to try her best, but that might not mean much considering she was still a fairly new apprentice. Of course, Frostpaw's comment still rang in the back of her mind, but she was trying her best to push those away. It would only distract her from the task at hand." Of course the fact that they would be heading towards the MoonClan border was also a bit dangerous. She hadn't heard much of anything about MoonClan as of late, but what she did know was that they were supposed to be their enemies.

[ um, so his character took a bit of an unexpected turn and he is realizing that Sunclan is a cult and I might end up having him leave the clan in search of freedom. It was a sudden development but I wanted to give you a heads up. I cant remember if these two were supposed to just be friends or more and I'm open to anything, but he wont be in Sunclan eventually. cx ]
He nodded and kept his direction nonchalantly. "Well, we'll find out soon!" Lochflare was a small and nimble cat so he was an excellent contender for the rabbits. He excelled in fighting, but had recently been able to focus his attention on certain prey especially the difficult ones. "You see, I like a challenge." He grinned with a playful growl.
(I believe they were supposed to be mates and he was supposed to help her deal with her bully of a sister. Perhaps we can make an interesting plot out of this yet though. Snowpaw has no intentions of leaving SunClan and will grow to be very loyal to SunClan as time goes on.)
Snowpaw nodded. "Yes we will!" She was already picking up the pace. She could smell rabbits already as well as the scent of MoonClan as they approached the border. "The rabbit warren should be close by. It should be just on our side of the border." Even if it wasn't, it didn't really matter. SunClan was superior to all of the other clans. They could hunt where they wanted, but it was easier if it was within their own borders.

(Ah, yes that's what I thought. I wasn't planning on having him go anywhere, but I didn't know he was going to watch his father be executed or talk to a Dayclan cat turned Sunclan that opened his eyes *sweats*. We can still do all of that but his arc might be a little bit different as they go into it lol)
"I haven't seen or smelled a Moonclan cat recently. Do you suppose they're getting cocky?" He meowed. The borders didn't seem particularly strong and outside of gatherings there wasn't a whole lot happening. It was rather strange, really, but he wasn't worried either. They currently had two clans under their control so what harm could a few Moonclan weaklings really do over some rabbits?
"I doubt it. If that was the case wouldn't they be trying to cross the border? They haven't been around for months." She sniffed. "Perhaps they just realized how far superior we are to them." She then turned her attention to the rabbit warren. She could see it now. She slowed her pace and slipped into a bit of thicker undergrowth to help hide her white pelt. "We need something to spook the rabbits out of their burrow." Her voice was quiet and she was already looking around to see what she might be able to find.

"I could climb up that tree and jump on top of it? It might spook them out if I'm loud enough." Even through the ground, the rabbits would be able to feel and hear him easily. If they were lucky, the rabbits would be spooked enough to run out or maybe they would just burrow deeper. He was hoping for the former.
"Well, I don't have a better idea so lets try it." Honestly, Snowpaw was unsure of whether or not this would work or not, but she was at least willing to try it if it meant that they might be able to bring some nice juicy rabbits home for the clan.

He nodded with a grin. "Alright, I'll let out a yowl when I jump so you know." He honestly wasn't sure if it would work but here was to hoping. He padded over to the tree and climbed it carefully testing the limbs before stepping out on a larger one that could hold his weight. Looking down, it was quite a large jump forward but he was small and almost certain he could make it. She crouched, wiggling his haunches a big as he gathered power in his haunches and jumping with a yowl, paws landing hard just above the warren.
