Funk's gaze flitted between the sudden group. Alcinia who jumped forward right away, and Tempest who stood just far away enough for him to briefly wonder if she was coming. He nodded, and set off down the hallway. The further they went in, the more destroyed it was. Doors were ajar and peaking in you would find knocked over or broken furniture. "It doesn't sound that far above us." The Nemesis mused to himself, stepping over some patch of still sticky carpet. At the end of the hallway, there was a staircase to their right and a tall door to their left with a button next to it. More for a joke than anything else, Funk stretched up and pressed the button. So imagine his surprise when walls slid to the side, revealing a tall room with a speaker still singing some cheesy tune.
Alcinia-chan's ears went flat for a moment at the surprising sound, but she quickly picked them back up. It made her look weak, and that was one thing she certainly was not. "I ain't never seen nothin' like this, Nemesis," she said, taking a step toward it in curiosity. "Waddaya think we should do?" strawberrycupid

Okay, he knew. Funk was an old kittypet though. The sort of thing that should never be Nemesis. Yet here he was, sashaying into the elevator like it was nothing. "At best, takes us further up the building. At worse, plummets down into the basement. Feeling lucky, Alcinia-chan?" The younglings that came were an odd bunch, and Funk loved putting cats to the test like this.
Her mouth quirked up into a crooked smile and she followed the Nemesis right into the box. Her fur might be sticking up at the uncertainty, but she'd follow this fearsome cat anywhere. "I'm the luckiest," Alcinia-chan replied, flicking her tail as she entered the room with the self-opening entrance. Her eyes roamed to where she had just been standing, waiting to see if any other cat would join.

Vera Lynn had been staying to the back though when the strange door opened and the Nemesis went it with just a kit, she followed. It would not be a good time for their leader to die, far too many power hungry cats at the moment. With sigh she strode into the small room. Vera has spent part of her life in cities before and been in several abandoned buildings. This one though was odd, mainly the fact that it still seemed to have power despite no signs that twolegs had been seen in here in years. If she could feel anything curiosity or perhaps a healthy sense of fear would be in her belly. Instead she just felt a little sore from a previous encounter with an angry dog.
Brushing the wall, she sent up a plume of dust. In a fit of sneezing she sat down in the elevator to rub her nose. The brownish cat had mostly volunteered to find things for her own nest and other trinkets to trade. Vera remembered that twolegs did have some of the softest things, along with the shiniest. DayClan and SunClan cats both liked flashy, shiny things if she could recall. Not that she encountered them to much, she was part of Senescence’s district. But bribes would work with the league as well.
“Up or down sir?” She asked stretching up to sniff the buttons. The symbols were familiar enough even if they were slightly worn.

"Hmm... up, please." Funk purred, settling down next to Alcinia-chan. It was nice at least someone else would join them. "Try the stairs if you wanna join us at all. Toodles." And with that last word, the doors began to close.
As the doors closed, Alcinia-chan looked over at her Nemesis. "So where's this gonna take us, sir?" she drawled, letting her fluffy tail sweep the floor. strawberrycupid
