"Alright. Here's the 411, folks." Funk E'tan climbed up the steps of the once apartment complex and turned to face the group of cats he managed to pull together for this operation. The building they stood in front of was massive, towering over them. There had to be at least 10 floors to this thing. Completely abandoned. Set for demolition with yellow tape and a few monsters sitting around it. But even that had been forgotten. Now it just sat here, perfect for what Funk had in store. It was late, sun almost set in the sky. The shadow of the building loomed over them, but the sun also caught the highlights of ginger in Funk's coat. He stood tall, proud, like a leader for once. He had just come back from Dayclan, and while his paws were still sore, he didn't show it.
"Our alliances have changed. Littlestar has been taken out and Bloodyrondo has taken over Sunclan." His tail lashed from side to side, aggression laced in his tone. They were words he wanted to say for a while. Even with his future marriage to Glowstar and Foxbane, he wasn't keen on the Red Lioness alliance in the first place. And Funk was no fool, he knew Primal Instinct was itching for a fight. And he hoped it was Bloodyrondo who could give it to them. The squabbles of the city weren't enough for his hunters, and he needed a solution. "The refugees from Sunclan are currently in Dayclan, but they are bursting at the seams. I've offered part of the territory for them to stay, should push come to shove." Technically, Glowstar hadn't asked him to house anyone. But it was better to be safe than sorry. Besides, they weren't using it anyway. "I want this place cleaned out, top to bottom. Any stragglers you find are your's to do with as you please. A few new bloodstains is the perfect Primal Instinct welcome, after all."

Jazz watched his brother drone on, a mildly bored expression rested on the white Bengal's face. It was clear he wanted to be doing anything else rather than listening to his brother rant and rave about the woes of another clan. He hadn't even noticed they were supposed to be in allegiance with SunClan, though looking back it did make a little sense. The tom was mid yawn when his brother mentioned the real reason they had gathered at the abandoned complex. Caught off guard between a yawn and a noise of distaste he let out a choked noise as he wrinkled his nose in disgust. "Really brother mine? A clean up crew? Surely you have a better way of wasting my time."
"I think this is a great idea. Alliance aside, who knows what sort of secrets are hidden within this twoletnest's belly?," Creek said, as always he had a curious expression on his face. Of all the many buildings in the League's territory, this one did not particularly stand out, which could mean his father had picked it for a reason he was not sharing. Besides, he loathed dust and found the monotonous task of cleaning oddly satisfying.
Razzle-Chan raised an eyebrow. She had tagged along behind the older cats. Now that she was getting bigger, she was able to keep up more than she had when she first joined Primal Instinct. Perhaps it was time for her to move up in rank. But for now, the she-kit found herself listening to Funk speak about cleaning some large den. This didn't seem fun at all to her and she made that known aloud. "What's the fun in cleaning?" She should have stayed behind.

(you guys can put whatever sort of things in the buildings or conflicts. the plot is more character driven so don't worry about driving it off course with any conflicts, sidetracking, whatever you add)
The Nemesis turned to his brother, a smile that could kill dressed on his face. Course, this was the kind of backlash he expected. But from his own brother? ... Definitely. "Of course not. You're fairly good at wasting your time without my help, Jazz." His tone was entirely playful though, a little glad the others got the point more. The reason this building was chosen was unsure, Funk never one to reveal what he was thinking. It was fairly close to the Dayclan border, though also surrounded by other buildings that looked exactly the same. The monotone of the city was fairly boring, no? "You can consider this little relic untouched since we came here, and maybe before." Absum Lux was never particular about what they did or didn't do. "The same goes for any objects you find, do with them as you please. If nothing else, we have a few pack rats who'll be interested in it. Explore by yourself or together, it doesn't matter."
Razzle-Chan looked over at Shezri, eyebrow falling back to its normal place. Find, schmind. She couldn't imagine anything worthwhile in this old nasty building.
Nearby, another tagalong - younger, but full of more personality than Razzle - licked a paw slowly and dragged it over her ears. "If ya taste the blood of anotha, I betcha it's cuz I shed it," she said at Shezri. While Razzle-Chan seemed more likely to want to keep her paws clean, Alcinia-chan had come with one intention: to get into something she really shouldn't. To get hers dirty.
Alcinia seemed to illicit a more genuine, and perhaps wistful grin from the she-cat. "You make This One feel young again," she sighed. Though she was not necessarily old, she often missed the wild, untamed bloodlust of her earliest days. She teasingly cuffed Alcinia-chan's ear. "Keep count of your kills, youngling. Shezri will be watching." She drew her tongue over her muzzle, anxious to move forward. Even more so, to observe the young ones thrive in their ruthless ways.

There was no reason to hesitate now. As the group quieted down, Funk turned and pushed the door open. A grating creak rang throughout the air, a cloud of dust being whipped inward. The bottom floor was nicer than Funk expected. It was loungier than he expected, a few chairs and tables still around. The layout was fairly simple too. To the left was the stairwell that went up to the apartments, straight ahead were a few rooms. Probably offices or the like. Another exit lay next to them, leading to the parking lot. And to the right was a smaller stairwell that went downward. Small to twolegs, but pretty big to cats. Funk couldn't help but wonder where they were going to start.
"Rosalia-chan will find all the art supplies she needs here." A white youngling joined the others. How this idea kept bringing younglings around was a mystery, but the newer one shook with excitement.
The door swung open to reveal none other than a cute fluffy kitten. Even though every visible surface was either dusty or dirty, his light colored pelt was immaculate and cloud-like. He cocked his head at the intrusion but the moment one of his leaguemate's paw's entered the room he took off at light-speed down the hallway. Alcinia-chan and Rosalia-chan would certainly recognize him as their brother, Valente-chan.
Creek padded in quietly and looked around the room, searching for something, "Does anyone see a broom?"
Alcinia-chan let out an embarrassing purr at Shezri's attention, ducking away after her ear was tapped. "Yeah yeah," she said, rolling her eyes, but her tone was light. She gave herself a shake and hopped over to Valente-chan. "Hel-lo," she purred, winding herself around him. Then she did the same to Rosalia-chan. "And you. I don't seem ta recall sayin' you two ruffians could tag along." strawberrycupidJadie
Razzle-chan sidled away from the other younglings. That family creeped her out so bad. She turned to look over at Creek who had asked for a broom. Yes, that was a good idea. Getting to work. The blue she-kit branched off by herself, pushing into a part of the den that others hadn't begun investigating yet. Minnow
cookie Shezri gave a nod to the youngling as she scurried off to join Valente-chan, and then looked curiously at Razzle-chan as she seemed to distance herself from them. She made a mental note to keep an eye on that one. Her tail flicked with excitement as she made her way into the building.
Meanwhile in the building A young kitten was curled up contentedly in a corner, enjoying a well deserved nap. She was alone, and not expecting any potential visitors, having thought this would be the perfect spot to safely relax.
"I was here first, see." Valente-chan fired back but he was purring as Alcinia-chan wrapped herself around him, "This place is huge! Want to play tag?" It was a question, but he had already leaped away, clearly a fox-length between the two before he proclaimed, "You're it!" cookie
Alcinia-chan raised one brow at Valente-chan's playful behavior. "Uh-huh, and why dontcha just tell me then how that's gonna help the League, huh?" Her tail lashed at the invitation to chase though and she bounded after him, trying to get a claw in. She loved her brother and it was her place to knock some sense into him. Jadie
As she entered the room, dark shadow mixed with the bit of light coming in through the murky windowpanes. Razzle-chan could see dust particles floating gently in the air, and she could see something else, too. In the corner a kitten her size was curled up in a ball, fast asleep. Razzle-chan's ears perked up in interest. This cat couldn't have come with them, right? She would have noticed someone slipping off on their own. The youngling approached, confidently prodding the sleeping she-kit as soon as she reached her. "Hey, what are you doing in the League's building?" she asked, no real malice in her voice. "Wake up." Funk held his huff. This wasn't a play date or a day trip out of the nursery, this was supposed to be serious. Even so, he didn't say anything as the kits chased each other. Somewhere above them, a loud creak rang out. Like a door that really needed some WD-40, but a lot louder. His ears pinned against his head and he looked up at the ceiling. "Guess we're not alone."
"Rosalia-chan is here on off business." Even for being so young, Alcinia intimidated Rosalia. She couldn't help but be relieved when her attention was focused on Valente. It would give her a chance to slip away. There had to be something she could use in here.
"I'll tell you how playing tag is useful when Funk explains why allowing a bunch of refugees to like in League housing and eat League prey is!" Valente-chan said loud enough for the Nemesis to hear but, before Funk could say anything, he ran down the hallway and around a corner. Evidently if anyone wanted to give him a lecture, they'd have to catch him first.
"Seems not," Creek mused after his father's statement. He padded into the building with renewed curiosity, his paw-steps leaving a trail on the dusty ground, "Guess we better investigate." He padded off toward where the creaky sound came from.

Michele-chan stepped up to where Valente-chan had been a moment before. The white tom's dark brown, almost black eyes were blank, his expression utterly emotionless as he watching his brother race away. The youngling laughed slightly, though it was creepy, as he didn't smile in the slightest while doing so. Not unusual, but strange all the same.
Agamede didn't really make a fuss as she looked around the complex, soft periwinkle eyes drifting around in silence as the silvery white enchantress walked about. She was a cat who faded into the background, and yet, she was all too integral to the League. Senescence, the Internal Affairs Proxy, often left her adopted daughter to do most of the work, while she went off who knew where. Not that Agamede minded. It garnered her a certain respect among district members, at the very least. Charms hung from her ears, stones wrapped in thin wire or dried vine, each with their own attribute set to them. She stepped further in, heading for a nearby door and pressing against it, watching as it slid opening far too easily. Inside, she could see cloth covered furniture and an old grandfather clock, still ticking. It was strangely still, though dust kicked up as the breeze from the door stirred it.

(guys, let's turbo boost this. put us in sunclan time stream for a lil bit)
Funk's lip twitched as Valente-chan said his peace before charging off. He rolled his eyes, not even bothering to give a response. What does a kit know of alliances and staying in Dayclan's good graces? Not much. With the potential many enemies they were going to get from pursuing the chase for the next assassin, it was good to keep your loyalties straight. It was fine, they'd grow up to be good hunters yet. "Anyway, some of us ought to investigate that noise. Agamede, and probably one little one, care to join me?"
Alcinia-chan turned as the Nemesis spoke, calling for someone young. Perhaps he needed small paws to get into cracks. She had been inclined to follow Valente-chan, but as soon as Funk mentioned wanting to investigate, she changed her mind. With a wink at Michele-chan who was being his beautiful creepy self, the she-kit strode over to Funk. "Let me be of service to ya," she said. Following him would guarantee her some blood-shed, right? strawberrycupid
Meanwhile, Razzle-chan was still poking at the sleeping kitten. Why in the world wouldn't she wake up? "Hey!" she cried, voice no longer soft. "I'm talking to you, lazybones. Answer me!" Minnow

The she-cat hadn't been instructed to follow but, the mage wasn't about to let the nemesis wander off with Agamede and just a kit. What if one of them got hurt? That would foolish. Still the idea of following the bengal leader anywhere made her skin crawl. Maybe she should just let him potentially maim himself. Even as the thought crossed her mind she found herself moving towards the trio, while also keeping a respectable distance behind them.
