Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Beetleflight swallowed down his nerves. As this was his first apprentice in a long time, and he'd spent a good portion of the morning, before he finally went to sleep thinking of what they could do to train.
Given Softpaw lacked front claws, he figured what he could focus on was learning how to detect danger and places to be careful of in the forest. After that Beetleflight could teach Softpaw how to fight, and what he could do despite his lack of front claws.

Softpaw felt naked sitting almost in the center of the cavern and out of the shadows he so adored. He could feel the stares of some of his clanmates as they started their night, but he refused to tear his eyes from the ground. He only risked a glance at the warrior's den every once and a while as he waited for Beetleflight to appear. At least it was still early enough that most of the cats were still sleeping, and he was always happy to get away from the other apprentices.
It didn't take long for Beetleflight to come out, but it only made Softpaw feel even more anxious. He didn't know what to expect from his mentor. How would he feel about having an apprentice like him? With a sigh, the silver bengal stood and made his way over to the tom. "Hello," he mewed with a respectful dip of his head.
