With chaos erupting across camp, Stridesplash returned to the nursery gathering up his little family into their glancing at the entrance as cats came to fetch kits in a mad dash to leave. They had four kits, and there was no way they would be able to get out with all of them he leaned down and whispered into her ear "Whatever you do, just stay quiet and in the nursery. I will get you and our kits out, but making a mad dash to the entrance now is suicide" he looked up, being quiet until the warrior left the nursery

Duskkit watched as Stridesplash left. Part of him was tempted to follow, to try and find a reason for all the madness outside. He couldn't even process it; each time he had an idea another thunderous noise dispersed it. It was probably a relief that for once the tom managed to stay still, cracking his neck occasionally as he stuck close to his mother and siblings.

Brightkit yawned, waking just after their father disappeared out of the den "where is poppa going?" she questioned as she snuggled in closer to her family
