Littlestar
SunClan High Priestess
The Peace Keeper
Littlestar opened her eyes, but everything was dark and cold. There was no soft bed under her only cold smooth stone. It was silent, save for the sound of her own breathing, and the gentle trickling of water that seem to be seeping through one of the walls, forming a small puddle on the floor. Her sides heaved trying to get air, her leg laying at a straight angle from being re broken, and pain coursed through her body like a flame. She lifted her good paw, only to find the ground under her coated in her blood.
"Once things have settled down, I'll allow Mountainsound to tend to your wounds. Until then I'm sure you are skilled enough to keep yourself alive and, besides, you've got a few extra lives to spare, don't you?" Standing before his mentor, adoptive mother and murderer of the Sun God brought forth a whirlwind of conflicting emotions in Bloodyrondo's heart. The primary one was anger. Anger that she had committed her crime and anger that it had come to this. He would have loved nothing more to continue to serve as Priest Promised, but his hands were tied, "Your youngest kits are doing well. I gave Jetfire herbs to make her milk come early and she is a surprisingly doting mother. They are in good hands between the two of us." He could have said anything but talking about her kits was the lowest blow he could deliver. He wanted her to keep fighting him, why else would he come down here? "Oh, did you not know Jetfire is pregnant? Soon she and I will officially be mates, but I will keep a much closer reign on her than I did your last daughter."

Littlecrow
SunClan Prisoner
The Peace Keeper
Instead of anger, Bloodyrondo was met with something that was far scarier to those that knew her well. Her facial features remained relaxed, giving no indication to what was going on inside her mind. Only the intensity of her golden gaze that seemed to see right through the new High Priest giving any indication that she had even heard the words that he had spoken "I have no words to share with a shade walker" she replied coldly, her voice slipping back into old formality used in WinterClan, her vowels clipped and short "You are beyond my ability to save now, my son"
"Shade walker? Me? Funny you should say that, when you allowed the wretched queen of shadows herself to walk in your skin and use your claws against our source of light." Bloodyrondo growled, although that look in Littlecrow's eyes sent shivers down his spine. He had always pushed his luck with the former High Priestess, but she'd never given him a bone-chilling look like that before, nor had she ever given up on him. It made him lash his tail but he pushed past it, "And I don't need saving. You do realize where you are, right?"
True to her word, Littlecrow didn’t speak laying her head lightly down her paws though her gaze never wavered. She knew her situation all to well, far better that Bloodyrondo understood the situation he was in now. He had made a grave mistake, in one fell swoop earning over a dozen powerful enemies. He must of been proud of himself, deposing his former mentor and taking over SunClan. It wasn’t hard to tel he thought he was doing the right thing and was serving the Sun God,and perhaps if he had stopped with her she could have forgiven his indiscretions. But ripping her little kits away from, seperating from her mate, and now forcing one of her daughters to bear his kits... There was nothing that could save his soul now, and she weeped for the cat he used to be. The spunky young cat ready to take on the world, not this monster that he had become. One way or another, he would pay for what he had done, if not at her claws than another.
"I really am sorry that it came to this, but every action has a consequence, you've said it yourself. I may have made many enemies but in return I am closer than any High Priest has ever been to true holiness. When all other cats turned their back on him, I never did, and the Sun God will remember that when he returns," Bloodyrondo couldn't stand the silence in the chamber, so he just started talking. It wasn't so much a lecture for Littlecrow as it was an inner monologue. The same one he had used to convince himself when he had decided to take over the Clan.
Littlecrow refused to dignify his ramblings with a response. It was rather sad, almost like even after everything he had done he was still trying ton convince himself that he was right. Seeking her advice and guidance, some sort of confirmation that he had taken the right course even as he had out right disgraced her in front of the clan. Her motherly instincts toward him was screaming for her to reach out and give him some solace, but she was still bitter and angry. Not at his actions toward her, but towards her family. If he had left things with her own punishment, she could have handled it. But messing with her daughter, seperating her from her mate, and ripping her newborns from her was unforgivable.
"You know that what you did was wrong and that this is exactly what you deserve. If you aren't going to admit to that, then I have nothing more to say to you," Bloodyrondo growled, turning his back on his former mentor and mother figure. It really did break his heart to do this but he had a strong resolve. It was right. It was what the Clan needed and also what he wanted. Bloodyrondo would become Bloodystar and bring the entire Clan back to its former glory, the glory that he now realized it had lost in Littlecrow's lenient leadership, "I will bring Jetfire with me next time. Perhaps she can talk some sense into you."
And with that, he withdrew from the prison, leaving Littlecrow alone in the darkness.

[Time skip] The silent darkness was almost unbearable. At first Littlecrow had found the isolation comforting, a relief from the harsh glares of her clan-mates as he wounds began to heal. But the longer she remained here, the more maddening it became. It wasn't that she wasn't familiar with the technique, in fact it was she that had taught Bloodyrondo about it in the first place while trying to break a particularly stubborn rogue. The silence was far more deafening than even the loudest crowd, the darkness straining her eyes until she decided to simply keep them closed. Even knowing how this particular brand of torture worked didn't make her immune to the effects.Even if she hadn't been bound to the wall by thick vines like some sort of wild animal, her injuries kept her from moving around more than shifting her weight from one side to the other. Even under Mountainsound's attentions, she only seemed to be getting worse. Her face sunken in, her long luxurious coat dull and scraggly, her twisted and broken ribs showing clearly through her skin. If one were to rub their paws over it, they could feel how they had been broken twice now and left to heal at odd angles. A pile of food stood uneaten at the edge of reach.
Pawsteps approached Littlecrow's chambers, the first interruption of her day since the fresh-kill had been deposited earlier that morning. Two cats by the sounds of it. Moments later it was confirmed as the stone slab that normally sealed the single entrance was moved aside. In walked Bloodystar, his brilliant orange fur painted with the markings of a leader, with a reluctant Jetfire at his side. A healer such as Littlecrow would recognize right away that her daughter was days from kitting at most.
"I figured we should pay you a visit given Jetfire is so close to kitting. She won't be able to come down here for awhile."
Bloodystar's voice was haughty, even more so than usual, and Jetfire would recognize this. He was... gloating? He took his eyes off the bound former High Priestess and leveled his gaze to his wife. Darkness. His eyes were full of shadows, twisting and turning like smoke, it was as if the close he got to Littlecrow the darker his heart became. He wasn't the same cat as he had been when he asked her to go for a walk a few moments ago, "Any advise you'd like to give your daughter and son-in-law about rearing kits? We were very lucky with yours and Skipstep's, the knew the SunClan code forward and backwards by the time we took them in, unlike their parents."

The light let in as the stone was moved was dim, but to a car kept in complete darkness for weeks it was nearly blinding. It took several moments for the two cats before her to come into focus. Even squinting, it wasn’t difficult to see just how far along Jetfire was. Her sides were heavily swollen and rounded, the weight dropped lower as the kitting became more imminent. Yet that wasn’t what what caught her attention, it was the expression on her daughters face. The inner fire she had been named for was gone from her eyes, It was the face of cat to broken to continue fighting, a cat without hope. Her heart sank, but she refused to even acknowledge Bloodystar’s presence, her eyes focused only on her daughter. She stretched a shaky paw upwards to brush her cheek, only to be stopped Half way by the vines that bound her “Jetfire...” her heart ached to take away the pain her daughter must be going through, but here in this wretched hole left to rot away there was little she could do or say to be of comfort. She knew what she said next may very well be the last words she would get to speak with her daughter “remember, even in the darkest of nights the sun will always rise again” even as the rough words came tumbling from her lips it was as if she was looking through Bloodystar instead of at him. Like he was nothing more than a mosquito buzzing in her path
Jetfire stood just outside of her mother’s reach. Oh how she longed to run to her side and bury her nose in her long fur. To just take in her scent and cuddle against her the way she had done as a kit. But would her mother ever forgive her for her betrayal? For standing at Bloodystar’s side as he ripped their family apart? She couldn’t bring herself to look at her mother... chained to the wall, beaten, and broken. She felt the heat rise to her cheeks as her mother spoken, even after all of this her mother hadn’t given up. Not yet... How was she staying so strong after everything she had been put through? “Mom...” she choked out
Bloodystar stepped forward and batted Littlecrow's outstretched paw. The frail former High Priestess's body slid perhaps a tail-length across the floor but it would have been further if most of the vines had not held her in place. But they did their job, only a few of the thinner ones snapping from the sudden attack, "Don't you dare mention the Sun God with that filthy mouth of yours. You forfeited that right when you murdered him. Act out like that again and I never bring Jetfire down here to visit with you."
An audible gasp could be heard at Bloodystar's side, as her mother was batted away and thrown into the stone wall with an audible thud. There was little the High Priestess could do to stop herself from sliding across the stone. Jetfire's eyes widened in horror, and before she had time to think about her actions she had grabbed onto his paw with both of hers trying to stop him from lashing out further "Your right" she squeaked out, before forcing her fur to lie flat "But I thought you had decided to allow the Sun God to punish her for her crimes" she scrambled trying to put together some sort of argument, anything to save her mother from further pain as she watched Littlecrow curl into a ball from the pain
Bloodystar very nearly turned his claws on Jetfire and probably would have had she not spoken.
"But I thought you had decided to allow the Sun God to punish her for her crimes..."
"That's right."
He hadn't meant to speak out loud and his ears pinned to the back of his head when he realized he had. He slowly lowered his paw back to the cold stone floor and looked away from Littlecrow, almost as if she wasn't even there, "Well, what are you waiting for? Go redo her restraints."
Was this... kindness? Normally he would never allow Jetfire within a tail-length of her mother, but something to do with his most recent outburst quelled his fire, at least for the moment.

Jetfire flinched, expecting a rain of claws to come down upon her at her outburst and yet instead she was released to go to her mother's side. Her paws trembled as she slowly retied the broken vines, guilt eating away at her. Now not only was she complacent in her mother's imprisonment, but assisting him with it. She took this time to make sure that she was ok, listening to the sound of her ragged breathing... but at least she was breathing. She moved as gently and slowly as she could, trying not to make her injuries worse. Lowering her muzzle to her mother's ears and whispering two words so softly that even Bloodystar wouldn't be able to make them out "I remember" The words Littlecrow had spoken earlier had more meaning behind them than Bloodystar knew, a reference to a story she had been told long ago before Bloodyrondo had even come to SunClan when she was only a kit.
She could still hear it now, her mothers soft words as she tucked into her nest at night. She had been afraid of the dark, after hearing stories of the monsters that stalked through the darkness. A story that promised no matter what hardships one might face, they would just have to hold on long enough for the Sun to return and deal out justice to those that had wronged. The promise of vengeance and retribution. But her mother had fallen silent now...
