The Underestimated
Not everyone is on the same page right now, and these differences are causing people to forget how much they truly care about each other. It's time for a safe group event, preferably outdoors, where everyone can relax and enjoy hanging out together. Plan something soon.
------------------------------------------------------------- Things were starting to settle down, well at least until her kits began to speak and be able to walk around on their own. Tinymutiny had her paws completely full with all twelve of the little ones starting to become more independent. They had yet to be out of the nursery, but were starting to get braver and braver by the day. The time was finally here for there first outing into camp, but Tinymutiny couldn't help but feel overwhelmed and stressed by the whole ordeal "Are you sure about this Oakshade?" she questioned, eyes looking over the kits that were staring up at her with wide and excited eyes "Maybe we should wait until they are a little older"
Cedarkit was watching his mother with the rest of his siblings, waiting to finally leave the confines of the nursery, if it had been up to him they would have gone exploring days ago but alas he had been watched too closely to wander off. "Mom! You said we could go out today, you can't take it back." He wasn't about to let her change her mind, not when he was this close to what he wanted.
The smallest of the kits popped his head up, ears perked. Snakekit looked at his siblings, gauging how they felt about leaving the nursery. After two had piped up, he chimed in, "Yes mother please let us go see!"
"Are we really going to break their hearts?" Oakshade purred, brushed his cheek against Tinymutiny to reassure her, "Besides, if we wait much longer they may mutiny against us and plan their own adventure. Right, Cedarkit?" He winked at his torbie son.
"I can't wait to see the sun!" Valleykit chirped, brushing up against Snakekit. She wasn't as small as her runt of a brother but she certainly wasn't the largest kit in the litter, "Please, please, oh please mama!"

"Your just as bad as they are" she teased giving him a playful tap on the shoulder with her paw, though it was all in good fun. Now that she didn't have pregnancy hormones driving her crazy, she was quite a bit calmer... at least unless you got on her bad side "Fine, fine, a promise is a promise after all... but you all have to keep your promise to! You need to stay close and not go wandering off" with twelve kits, it was going to be difficult enough to keep track of them as is even with Oakshade's help
Magnoliakit wrapped her tail around her dainty paws glancing at the entrance with a small smile. Exploring that outside world seemed like a lot of fun, but unlike her siblings she wasn't bouncing around ready to run out of the nursery.
Weepingkit curled herself around her father's leg, gazing up at him with big wide eyes "I don't wanna go outside poppa" she sniffled, the bgeinings of tears starting to form in the corners of her eyes "It's scary out there, I just wanna cuddle with you!!! Please don't make me go out there'
"Trust me little ones, it's so much nicer out there under the sunny skies. It's warmer even then cuddling with me and mom... and you can do both at the same time," Oakshade replied as he licked Weepingkit on the top of her head, then gave her a slight push, "Come on, one at a time, let's make your grand reveal to the Clan special!" With that, the large brown-and-white tom wasted no time padding out side of the nursery, expecting everyone to follow after him.
"Me first!" Valleykit squealed, running toward the exit, even though she was one of the furtherest away from it.
Snakekit bounced right along, following his father out of the nursery. He only slowed when Valleykit said she wanted to be first, holding back for her.
It was a beautiful bright and sunny day. By now most if not all of the morning patrols would be back, meaning the fresh-kill pile was heaping and several clanmates were sprawling out across the sandstone, basking in the pleasant warmth of their deity. Oakshade had placed himself to the right of the nursery's entrance as the kits spilled out and patted Snakekit on his back for being such a good brother to the more rambunctious Valleykit, "Don't be too loud and give the sleeping cats space." He warned, but it was unlikely that he would enforce that rule, and the kits probably all knew that.
A ginger tom, who most of the kits would recognize as the Priest Promised, Bloodyrondo, was laying in one of the most desired sunny spots just a few tail-lengths from the stony pathway that led up to his den. In the shade not far from from him was one giant brown she-cat, Caramelcream, and her younger and significantly smaller bother, Wolfpaw. All three of them appeared to be asleep.

Wakekit gazed around at their surroundings. "Wooooww. It's so much bigger than I imagined!" She said in awe. Her tail wiggled behind her in joy as she took it all in.

Magnoliakit daintily padded out of the nursery, her beautiful fur groomed to perfection. The camp was rather beautiful, she had to admit. However, she was already seeing a thousand ways to improve it. Places where flowers could be tucked away, blank sandstone walls that could be painted with murals, and most importantly pelts that needed to be groomed. She stared wide eyed at the three cats with horror before looking at her siblings "Didn't their mother ever teach them how to groom properly?" with no fear he sauntered up to Carmelcream, prodding her gently with a paw "excuse me"
As Oakshade tried to leave, Weepingkit wrapped her legs around her father's front leg "No daddy, no!!" she started to cry "No it is scary out there" she was holding on so tightly that as he walked out of the nursery, he was literally carrying the little she-kit with him. The closer he got to entrance, the higher pitched her cries became "NO DADDY I DON'T WANT YOU HURT"
Tinymutiny chuckled, following from behind and gently nosing the kits out of the nursery, not that most of them needed any encouragement
Snakekit bounced over to Wakekit, giving her a nudge. "Whatcha wanna do, sis?" In the background he could hear Weepingkit crying but since Oakshade was there, he decided that he didn't have to handle it this time.

Wakekit giggled and rolled her eyes at Weepingkit's exaggerating. Looking at Snakekit she grinned. "I dunno. I wanna climb something! I wanna see how close to the sun I can get!" She gazed upward into the brightness of the glowing orb, squinting slightly but her smile never fading.
Caramelcream stretched out her front legs at Magnoliakit's prodding, her forearms were easily longer than the calico she-kit, and let out a fearsome yawn. She had very large teeth. In fact, the whole she-cat was very large, bigger even than Oakshade, who would have been the largest cat Magnoliakit had ever seen up until now. Her evergreen eyes fluttered open and settled on the little she-cat and as soon as she realized a kit had approached her she let out a squeal of delight, "Hi there little one! You are one of Tinymutiny and Oakshade's, aren't you? You look so much like your father. Tell me your name!" She purred, rolling onto her stomach.
"You can't stay in the nursery forever!" Oakshade said with gusto and picked up Weepingkit by her scruff. He carried her just outside of the den and gently sat her down into a particularly bright patch of sunlight. He hated hearing her cry and hoped he could avoid it with a story, "The sun feels awfully great against your back, doesn't it? When I was growing up, it was taboo to let the sun warm your fur, so I can't get enough of it now that I'm a proper SunClan cat. How about I tell you a story about growing up in MoonClan?" He saw Snakekit, Wakekit and Valleykit were also near, "You three are welcome to listen before you go exploring, if you'd like."
Snakekit turned from Wakekit to his father. Story or climbing? Oh the decision was too difficult! He stood there attentively between them, tail flicking. Maybe someone would just make the decision for him.

Magnoliakit didn't flinch, standing there eyes to eye with the much bigger she-cat "Why yes I am mam', my name is Magnoliakit" she replied slightly drawing out her vowels and batting her eyes "But may the Sun God bless your soul, did your mother not teach you how to groom your pelt?" she asked bluntly pointing at her haphazzard coat with one paw. Upon hearing the rude statement, Tinymutiny walked over "My apologies Carmelcream. She means well" she lowered her head to her daughter "Magnoliakit, you can't just go around pointing out things like that it is very rude" she chastised gently
Weepingkit cried and cried until she was placed outside in the patch of bright sunlight. As soon as her paws touched the ground, she had laready fled back to her father's leg clinging to it with a death grip as she cried "but daddy, I'm scared!!!" she was almost in hysterics, her breating coming in rapid gasps in between her sobs "The other kits said the sun can burn you, lets go inside where it's safe"

Wakekit rolled her eyes at her sister's crying, but turned to her father anyway. "Oh please tell us a story daddy!" She sat down before Oakshade with her little tail waving excitedly behind her as she grinned up at him.
