Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Jadie here's Discordantmeoldy and Ghazen's thread His plan was going better than he thought. The Fire Gang had been growing for some time now, and they even had spies in the heart of the Clans. Omega had forged an alliance with two of SunClan's enemies, so their defeat was only a matter of time, and the tom was fine with that. More time meant more preparation and training for him and his followers. Discordantmelody was one of his more promising recruits. Her time in the League accentuated the qualities he wanted to see, and he brought more of them out with every training session. Unfortunately, this night's session was coming to a close. It was as productive as usual with the normal combat and stealth training, but he always ended these with a talk. He wrapped his tail around his paws as he spoke. "We have some more allies in our fight. I can't tell you who they are here, but we are doing well." Excitement sparked in his eyes. "War is coming, and I doubt your Clan will be ready for it. Speaking of them, how are Littlestar and her Priest Promised?"
SunClan cats were supposed to be diurnal creatures, but Ghazen couldn't kick the habit. His past groups made him favor the night, so he often wandered the territory alone in these later hours. The sound of voices in the distance surprised the pitch-black tom, so he set off in the direction of the noises.
"Bloodyrondo is hungry and Littlestar is too ill to temper his impudence." Discordantmelody replied as she stretched out her now sore muscles after this training session. She was getting quicker, her attacks more decisive, but she hd yet to best her master, "Tomorrow morning he will raid SwiftClan for their kits, believing the Sun God may be born within their rank, and, in the evening, I suspect he will do something that will make him a lot of enemies. However, my brother is being remarkably tight-lipped, so that is all I know." She was standing erect now, her head cocked slightly, "I will keep you posted as always, Omega, but I believe that the longer Fire Gang waits, the deeper SunClan will dig its own grave."
He slowly nodded as she spoke. This dissent in the leadership sounded interesting. What deputy would lead a charge against another Clan without the permission of their leader? "Interesting... I suppose it is logical for your brother to try a ploy like that. He steals the lost glory for his Clan while his leader is ill, thereby winning the respect of his Clanmates, or most of them. In theory, not a bad move, but stealing kits will be extreme." He got up and started pacing around in small circles. "Still, I doubt that would be his climax. It is merely his first action." Part of it just didn't add up. Why would something so extreme be his first action? It sounded more like a climax, but he had not played his first move. Discordantmelody had to be right about the following evening. "His second move would be worse, if he rides off the successful raid." He paused. "So, he blatantly disregards the chain of command in his first move to gain glory and position himself. I bet he will denounce Littlestar in the evening. He won't harm her anymore, but he will take 'emergency power'." As much as he appreciated the information, Omega knew his suppositions were based on guessing about a cat he never met. That was always a disadvantage, and left plenty of room for error. "He will hide Littlestar away for the betterment of her recovery, but he will delay it as long as he can."
Ghazen could now smell the pair, and could pick up two distinct smells. He recognized the Discordant's smell quickly, but the second one was vaguely familiar, but completely foreign. He stopped in some of the foliage behind the SunClan warrior and waited for the conversation to continue.
"Probably so. His relationship with Littlestar never recovered after the loss of Satinlights. She was Littlestar's daughter and Bloodyrondo's mate, by the way. The poor thing fell into the river and drowned, or, at least, that is how the story goes," Discordantmelody was impressed with Omega's deduction skills, it was what had won her over to his side from the beginning, "Although I'm not sure that this outcome could have been avoided given that it was Littlestar who personally killed the Sun God. If he does what you think he will, first he will have to get rid of my mother. She is fiercely protective of Littlestar. Imprisoning or exiling Foxbane or Littlestar will make him enemies with half of the forest, including SunClan itself. I can't imagine what it will be like if he takes care of both in the same day. I'm dying to find out, though." The calico loved chaos, clearly she was more excited for what was going to happen than what in implied for her, "I imagine I'll have to side with Bloodyrondo if I want to remain in SunClan."
His ears perked up when she mentioned that the High Priestess's daughter had been his mate. That and the Foxbane part added another layer of complexity. Of course, both worked towards more chaos. "Getting rid of Foxbane... it's an interesting idea. He'll make enemies and allies quickly with a move like that. It sounds necessary, but she is quite skilled to execute. Your Janus would be outmatched, if they even took his side." He chuckled and waved his tail. "When I was in your Clan, they were skilled warriors, not kittens." He recalled his interaction with Gingersnap. She was barely out of the nursery, and yet she was chosen as a Janus. "He has no way to kill her. Tasking the Clan to do it would be an all out brawl. It would be stupid to count on that, and he certainly doesn't have the skills to kill or restrain her himself, so he will exile her. Foxbane is smart enough to retreat to fight another day, probably with Glowstar and her Clan." He sat back down and wrapped his tail around his paws. "I love a good coup d'tat. Do what you have to do to stay close." Another thought flashed through his eyes."Hmm... if both Foxbane and Littlestar are gone, then perhaps I could get on the inside. Bloodyrondo has no idea who I am..." His eyes were drawn to the bush where Ghazen was hiding, and a smile grew on his lips. "It seems you have a stalker Discordantmelody."
Ghazen's eyes widened as the other tom came into view. Ghazen thought he was long dead, or scouring the city somewhere else. The dark tom revealed himself from the bushes and looked between the two conspirators. He would lose if he fought both. He had no doubt in his mind about that.
Omega's eyes glimered in the dim moonlight. "Discordantmelody, I didn't know that you knew one of my acquaintances. Rather, former subject."
"Initiate Ghazen?" Discordantmelody was not easily snuck up on, but this older tom had caught her totally off guard, and the fact that these two seemed to know each other made her blood run cold in all the right ways. When she turned to look the dark-furred tom in the eye she was smiling like a fool. Unnervingly so. It was expressions like this that made her relation to Foxbane all too apparent.
"Oh yes, I know him well, although I cannot say we have shared works before now. Former MoonClan Lunar Guard, Absum Lux before that, both events well before my time. All he is now is a grumpy old man that probably has a list of cats he wants to see dead before he breathes his last breath. I'm quite a fan. I hope you pass initiation so we can be more... friendly," She winked at him, then turned her gaze back to Omega, "You are everything I want to be and more. Powerful, well-connected, a name only a select few recognize but fear. I'd like to be a shadow like that, too. Let me help you in whatever it is you are trying to do. It sounds fun."
Ghazen's eyes settled on Discordantmelody as she talked. There was plenty he wanted to say. One, he was not that old. There were plenty of cats out there older than him, and he was not past his prime yet. Two, he didn't want anyone dead. He put the past behind him before coming to SunClan, and wanting cats dead was part of that past. What he could speak to was becoming 'more friendly'. "No." He had loved and loved well, and that was over. He could not see himself with another mate barring some extreme situations, but what were the odds of that?
Omega slowly nodded. "Well, it has been my pleasure training you. I trust that you will keep my name out of your Clan's ear. Littlestar knows about me and my... habits." He looked over to Ghazen again and back to Discordantmelody. "I have to be going. Discordantmelody, please make sure that Nightfury here gets home safely."
Discordantmelody dipped her head to Omega, "Of course."
This was getting better and better. While the calico she-cat certainly didn't have the patience to gather allies herself, she hadn't though that a cat who shared a few of her morals was already doing it. She was not sure what he had in mind exactly but she was all in.
Discordantmelody turned her indigo eyes to Ghazen now, then padded toward him, brushing her shoulder with his, "Let's get back home, boss's orders." Her voice was light and airy, like she was seconds from bursting out in laughter but it never came, "Tell me how you came to know Omega."

Ghazen watched the former Strategos disappear into the night with curiosity in his eyes. He knew there was little the tom could do against SunClan, even if he had contact with Discordantmelody. SunClan was too big to fall to one cat, so he simply wrote it off as the tom trying to relive the good old days when he ruled a Clan. "Not my boss." He growled as he turned around and reluctantly followed the warrior back into the territory. "My Strategos. My 'High Priest'." He whispered.
