(This is a DayClan patrol for your characters that have the Tracker job. Glowstar's daughter, pregnant at the time left DayClan for WinterClan but when she didn't show up again to prove she was safe Glowstar asked the cats who are Trackers to track her down. Fia Cendrillon, Windchaser, Knightrunner, Penguinpond, Fairytalepaw, and Snowthorn are now on this patrol. They can discover through their superior observations that a patrol had taken her)
Glowstar and her patrol of DayClan cats stood beside her as they waited inside the border of WinterClan. Her daughter Bluejay had left DayClan to live in WinterClan with her mate Snakefang. She had made it very clear that Snakefang's name should never be mentioned and had made it even clearer that she didn't want DayClan in her life any longer. But Glowstar had asked Bluejay to return one last time within the week just to show that she was living safely in WinterClan. Bluejay had not returned though and even more worrying she was pregnant. According to DayClan's trackers she had made it to WinterClan, which meant there was no denial that WinterClan must have seen her.
Fairytalepaw had never left DayClan's territory before except when exploring SunClan's. He felt excited exploring the mountain clans and even more so when he found out it was WinterClan. There was so much snow and mystery about the land! He was even prouder to be on the same patrol as his mother Fia Cendrillion.
"How do we know she just couldn't make the trip with the care of her kits?" Windchaser asked, bringing up the back of the patrol. "Kits are a lot of work and demand a lot of attention. Perhaps she couldn't get anyone to watch them long enough for her to take the trip to Dayclan."
"They can extend the courtesy of proving that my daughter is safe. Besides, I've spent time in WinterClan before and I know they're prone to throwing anyone and everyone in prison. But you know Bluejay, leaves before anyone can notice to stop her," Glowstar shrugged, "Anyways, there's nothing much we can do right now except wait for some patrol to come by."
Glowstar fell onto her back in the snow, her legs swiping up and down in the snowy substance to make a cat angel. She got back up to look at her working, "I can't believe we hardly had a leafbare last year, it was nice not being forced to stay in Keepers Mansion for once during the cold seasons."
The ginger tabby warrior shrugged at Glowstar's comment, deciding not to push it any further. If it were her own kit, she would not hesitate to find them. In fact, Windchaser knew exactly how Glowstar was feeling. She could remember the countless sleepless nights she had gone through when Lilacpaw disappeared. Fortunately, though, her kit had come home and Windchaser was able to get the night sleep she so desperately needed. Though, now, she kept a close eye on each of her kits with the fear one of them would disappear again.
Windchaser perked her ears and stepped to the side as Glowstar plopped down into the snow and began making cat angels. Glowstar sure was a strange character but Windchaser supposed thats what made Glowstar such a great leader and she admired her for it. However, Windchaser thought it was a little odd that Glowstar didn't see too panicked about not seeing her daughter. If Glowstar had been so worried about her daughter as much as she said she was, would she be making snow cats? Perhaps it was her way of coping. "Beautiful, Glowstar." Windchaser commented, not interested in trying it herself. She hated the snow. As a matter of fact, she was forcing herself not to shudder and shiver at the cold whether on the border. "I'm glad we didn't have a harsh winter. I hate the snow. Not sure how any cat would want to live in conditions like this." She parted her jaws and exhaled just to see the cloud of mist come from her muzzle.
Wintrystar was already in a ba mood and then her original patrol was getting derailed due to a scent on the breeze. DayClan was nearby, why? She didn’t know but she just wanted them gone. The sovereign just didn’t have the patience to deal with them right now.
"Oh hey, Wintrystar," Glowstar said as she came over with her patrol, "My daughter Bluejay came here, looking to move into WinterClan, I wanted to see her, ensure she got here alright with her kits and is well."
Wintrystar glared, her eyes narrowed and sharp. “What about it.” It wasn’t a question so much as it was a statement made to humor the other cat. Her words were as sharp a she’d eyes and straight to the point. The mere fact that any cat cared about Bluejay amazed her since the cat was just a demon in cat fur. Dismissive and disengaged, she nearly walked away from the conversation.
Knightrunner bristled. Already Wintrystar was rubbing him the wrong way. The dark gray tom dug his claws into the ground narrowing his eyes at Wintrystar.
"Usually when a cat asks how another cat is, especially when said cat is one of their kits you offer more than 'what about it'." Knightrunner growled. He might not like Bluejay, as she was a wild card at the best of times. But it was rude to speak so dismissively to Glowstar.
Wintrystar hadn’t put two and two together that Glowstar was related to Bluejay. To be honest she lost track of most of those relations in the other clans. What she did know though was that Bluejay was a child of the Sun God and thus a danger to them all. She raised her head. “And your...kit is no longer in your clan and thus out of your control, care, and concern.” Her eyes glared and shown with anger that this cat believe themselves worthy or even able to talk rudely to her about how one should treat a cat. WinterClan was much more sophisticated and traditional than that of DayClan. She’d made sure that was known when discussing the Blind Dating Event with Glowstar moons before it happened. To think she’d failed to relay that sense of respect her title deserved and required was appalling.
"Mf, I don't want to start something, but all I'm asking is if Bluejay is okay. I really really don't want to get into a fight, especially if she's okay, but if you don't let me know I will fight for the answer," Glowstar said, taking a step forward towards Wintrystar, "So did she get here alright, is she and the kits okay?"
Wintrystar narrowed her eyes even more, if that was even possible. “Okay? She’s in prisoner. Where she belongs as all demons, trespassers, betrayers of WinterClan do.” He answer was short, to the point, and with no humor in it as though all should know that those who enter WinterClan go straight to prison.

"You're keeping a queen in prison?" The next cat to step up was Fia Cendrillon. Alvah Faris' youngest sister. The she-cat was thick furred, ash and shadows threaded through with ember specks and burning eyes that pinned Wintrystar with a look a cold as the land the sovereign ruled. When she spoke, it was as if what little warmth was in the air was drawn into her, and the air around her seemed to drop in temperature. At the prospect of a queen, of all things, being held in prison, the she-cat looked downright demonic herself. "And what business does any clan have imprisoning a queen?"
Windchaser bristled at the mention of Bluejay being held prisoner. She want fond of Bluejay, especially after she cast a spell on her to make her say unforgivable things to her daughters. However, imprisoning a queen was wrong on so many levels. "Exactly! What kind of clan are you running?" The ginger warrior growled, taking a step forward to stand beside Fia.
"That's not really your place to question a leader let alone one with different cultures," Alvah Faris interrupted as the large tom wandered over. He had been a warrior in DayClan, but had since left only letting Fia and his mom know where he was headed, "It's just tradition for anyone new who isn't WinterClan blood to be a prisoner until they prove themselves. I went through it and so have plenty of others, I'm sure she'll be fine." He was sugarcoating things, especially the fact that Wintrystar had no desire to ever let Bluejay go.
"So you're keeping her and her kits in prison?" Glowstar growled, after all she was raised in a prison for moons. The thought of her daughter having to raise her family in a prison too did more than just break her heart.
Windchaser's blazing green eyes met with Alvah Faris's. "I'm not one to disrespect a leader but a cat that imprisons a queen with kits is hardly a cat at all, let alone a leader!" She snarled, flexing her claws. "In fact, your not even a clan! If your willing to be that cruel, you must be just a bunch of fox-hearted rogues living together, calling their frozen wasteland of a home a clan! Winterclan is a disgrace against all other clans. You don't deserve to call yourselves a clan! Just like Wintrystar doesn't deserve to have star at the end of her name!" Her gaze flicked from Alvah to Wintrystar. "Release Bluejay or we will have no choice but to go to war with you! I'm sure that once word spreads about how you imprisoned a queen, every clan will be after you!"
"Watch your tongue!" Wintrystar took a step forward, confident with her mate beside her and her traditions to back her up. Everyone knew WinterClan took cats as prisoners, all cats started their lives there if they wished to join. It was common knowledge. But for them to insult her, and her clan on top of that, calling them unworthy of such a title was overstepping the boundaries of niceties she was entitled to uphold as a leader of a clan. With a growl, she released her next and final words. "Queen unfit to parent her kits? You want her released? Never! The kits are in the nursery for your information! And will remain there and be raised into true warriors. Something you clearly know nothing about since you dare insult a clan without understanding the inner works of it or the whole picture! She is a demon, unworthy of spreading her lies and ideals. She's where she belongs, a jail cell with her name on it. But if you still don't see reason then very well, war we shall have!" She stepped way, turning her back on the patrol just on the other side of the border. She was fuming, the snow practically melting under her paws in her anger. War it would be. And she would not regret it. Bluejay was a demon, one that belongs in prison, or better yet, dead. But Wintrystar was unable to displease the Gods and thus settled for prison and kits she wanted nothing to do with.
Knightrunner snarled. "I can think of nothing better!" He said simply. "A clan that keeps a queen prisoner doesn't deserve to continue on without consequences! And a clan that separates kits from their mother are the real demons. Perhaps it's you who should be rotting in a jail cell." He growled.
When Wintrystar turned away, Windchaser slowly looked at Glowstar with a sheepish expression. She expected Glowstar to scold her for not only threatening and disrespecting Wintrystar but also causing Winterclan and Dayclan to go to war. That was typically the leader's call but Windchaser had clearly stepped on her leader's toes.
