"Are you only mentioning the league cause Funk is our supposed father?" Surfkit asked, though his green eyes narrowed in a way where it almost looked like an accusation. It was a topic he kept harping on. Cause he just couldn't look at himself then look at the bengal nemesis and see him as his father. It didn't fit right, and Surfkit was a skeptic through and through.
Smashkit lashed out blindly with sheathed claws, thinking, as usual, that being picked up was some kind of game. For whatever reason the tried-and-true pinch on the next didn't work the same on her as it did most kits, but it did always clam her down.
"Funk's not our father IDIOT it's Vixenkismet," She purred in response to Surfkit's question, kicking out at her brother although nowhere near close enough to land a hit, "If Funk was our dad we'd see him more cuz dads have to be there for their kits! Right, Sean?"
"The Regime is only the best place ever," Sean said, interjecting into Eartha's discussion before, "And ew no, there's a dozen reasons I didn't like the Regime before I ever even met your father. And I don't know who your dad is, but my dad was a jerk who left your grandmother Eartha with two kits to raise, locked up in prison. So not every dads great."
"Did you just visit for Renegade propaganda or is this going somewhere?" Glowstar asked.
"Lilith, if you're going to behave like a cornered fox I can go elsewhere, I only came to see the grandchildren," Eartha said.
Glowstar stared down Eartha for a long moment, "You lost that right to call them grandchildren when you decided I wouldn't have any children."
Eartha scoffed at her, "How long are you going to hold that over my head? I valued you more as a person than what you could bring to your group. I'm sorry that was the only herb that could lower your fever, but that was the only one they gave me."
"I know what I saw and I'm rightfully worried you're going to put my kits in danger," Glowstar said, more loudly this time.
Eartha gave an exasperated expression, "What do you know you saw? How could you possibly know? You were a few moons old, of course I held you down and made you take your medicine. Yes, it had horrible side effects, but you weren't there when I demanded them to give me something different.
"Adults will make an argument about anything," Sean said to Surfkit.

Dizzykit looked between the two arguing she-cats, still clinging to uncle sean's leg with no intention of letting go any time soon as she rubbed her cheek up and down it trying to dry him "This is really silly... Why is momma saying she can't have kits? She has us... Are we not enough?" her eyes growing big and full of concern before pushing off of her uncle and racing to Glowstar's side "Momma...Momma!! Don't say things like that. I'll be a good girl I promise!! You don't have to have any more kits. I'll be the bestest daughter"

"I'm not having that conversation with you." Surfkit said plainly to Smashkit. Vixenkismet was their mom and Funk was their dad. Supposedly. End of story. But his grey pelt said otherwise, and he once again pondered just who his dad was as the adults bickered. He couldn't help but look at the three adults, all red or orange in some respect. A sunny sort of color that made the cloudy color of his own fur feel off. He stood up, that loss fourth leg only becoming more obvious. "It doesn't matter. It's not like there's some way to read into the past anyway. But I don't want you to make mama doubt herself. That's plain rude."
"Of course you're my darling kit," Glowstar said, pressing Magnoliakit even closer to her, "But it was your grandmother that told me when I was even younger than you that I wasn't allowed to have any kits ever."
"I wasn't wrong about what I said about your blood borns," Eartha said lowly before turning to the kits, "Do you want Glowstar to make Sean and me leave?"

"Yeah." Of course Surfkit answered plainly, green gaze hardening. "If I have to choose to trust someone, I'd choose Mom over you two, simple as that." Not like he could know if Glowstar was lying or not, and at this point he wouldn't put it past her. Some part of him didn't want to believe she was capable of that, though. So he broke that silence.
"Am I supposed to care or were you just kind of sharing that with the rest of the class?" Sean asked Surfingkit with playful amusement.
Eartha looked taken aback by Dizzykit, she shifted only slightly, but it was enough for Glowstar to unsheathe her claws.
"We'll leave then," Eartha said in agreement. Turning on her toes she headed back out into the rain.
"Are you kidding me? We just got here, I'm not going to leave in the rain," Sean scoffed.
"That's fine, your mother will just get carried off by some hungry fox," Eartha yelled back to him.
Sean rolled his eyes, "I'm not leaving." Instead his attention turned back to the kits, "So do you have any rainy day games?"
Glowstar visibly relaxed when Eartha finally left, her tongue vigorously licking Dizzykit as she settled back down, her paws curled around her daughter. Her heart was beating so loudly Dizzykit would be able to hear it from up against her chest. "You okay?" Glowstar asked her.

Surfkit's mouth pulled to the side, frustration mounting in his eyes. But it seemed like Dizzykit's outburst did the trick, and he was silently grateful. They just struck out a potential relationship with their grandparents, but seeing Glowstar relax made it worth it. To finally have her gone, have Surf and his siblings out of her paws. For now. It would always be for now.
He let her have that moment with Dizzy, returning to Sean's side and laying down next to him. "Sleeping isn't an option, I guess?" He asked with a yawn. "Not really, haven't been locked in here without wanting to sleep."
