Salamanderkit mewed and squirmed when he felt a kick in his back. It had knocked him away from the warmth he was snuggled against. Cold air seeped in through his thick black fur sending a chill through his body. By smell and feel, he made his way back to the warmth. Milk scent filled his nose and he began to suckle.
The tortie opened one eye in a squint, trying to look at which of her siblings was causing such a fuss while she was trying to nap. Morelkit liked nothing better than lazing around and this was definitely getting in the way of her rest. She didn't speak to either of the two moving around and instead welcomed Salamanderkit back into the warm area next to her and Magnoliashadow.
Mushroomkit didn't bother to lift his head at the movement only half opening his amber eyes to see if he could tell who had managed to disturb the nest, looking towards his siblings he let out a quiet huff and pushed closer to their mother while also putting a slight distance between the others and himself.

"Really?" Salamanderkit squeaked after finishing his meal of milk. "We can?" A small pink tongue shot out of his mouth to catch a little milk dribble on his whiskers.
Morelkit wasn't too interested in moving from this spot, and she made a sound of protest at the idea. Why did Salamanderkit have to sound so excited about it?
Mushroomkit had covered his ears to try and block out the talking from his family, he didn't want to go, but if he stayed then he would be here alone... Without Magnoliashadow. "Do we have to? Cant you just stay here?" He asked, finally lifting his head so he could look at their mother.

"Aw come on!" Salamanderkit mewed. He gave both Mushroomkit and Moralkit small nudges with his nose. "You wanna stay in this nest forever?" He smiled at Chanterellekit. "Let's go ourselves without 'em."

Salamanderkit was dying to see what made the wonderful lights he could see from inside the nursery. And the thought of visiting a watering pool intrigued him further. "Come on!" he repeated as he tried to run but it turned out to be more like toddling. He slowed his pace a little so he wouldn't fall like his brother did. "I bet it's gonna be great!"

"What's a watering pool?" Morelkit asked, curious about this. She rose on shaky legs and moved a little bit, following one of her siblings close enough to bump into them. "I'll go but can't someone just carry me?"
