Plot: WinterClan’s growing tensions with DayClan is what sent Northwind to the ForestClan’s. Snowbunny the knight had asked him to spy on DayClan and given that DayClan’s borders are neutral it was meant to be a relatively easy assignment. However Floodfate was also asked by Creampuff, a loyal guard member of NightClan to also spy on DayClan. Arcticsong is also sent to DayClan to spy out any unusual kits. The three quickly run into each other, but due to the different scents they quickly realize neither of them are DayClan cats. However they decide to work together to collect any juicy intel on DayClan. Start the roleplay off with your cat spotting the other person’s character and walking over to talk to them.
Northwind had of course been a bit shocked when Winterclans newest knight Snowbunny had approached her with the task of spying on Dayclan, she had questioned his decision curious if he was joking and making fun of her but his reasoning had actually been good... Who would suspect a blind cat of spying? It was in its own way genius, while she couldn't see she had spent the better part of her life working to hone her other senses so she could live a relatively normal life and prove to her clan that she was not useless to them, it seemed now that her diligence had paid off and now she just had to show Snowbunny and the others that she had been the right choice for this mission.
It had taken her a some time but she was now standing just outside of Dayclans territory, the new scents rolling around her like a cloud of smoke, taking a deep breathe she focused on separating them all and committing them to memory for later use. "A blind cat navigating unknown land, this should be entertaining." She could imagine it now, someone seeing her make a fool of herself tripping over a stick or a rock, how annoying. "I'll just have to be careful." She whispered to herself as she began to walk forward, her paws skimming the ground with practiced ease.
Arcticsong had regularly explored DayClan ever since she was an apprentice. Because of DayClan's alliance with SunClan on top of DayClan having open borders they allowed her to explore every nook and cranny. She knew the location as though she grew up in the clan her whole life. For this reason no one would give her a second glance to see the SunClan she-cat walking around the territory, she was practically background noise to them. It was quite the achievement considering she was Littlestar's daughter, yet somehow she managed to blend in without suspicion.
She was only a few weeks into being a warrior, but was quite tiny like her mother. She had long peach colored fur with tufts of fluff at the tips of her ears and olive green eyes. Considering she knew the place well it shocked her to catch the scent of a WinterClan she-cat. When she went to investigate she saw the she-cat was blind, which was even stranger. Why would she wander so far from home, that seemed difficult.
"Are you lost?" Arcticsong asked, her gaze was fidgety, never fully locking onto Northwind's, but her voice practically magical. There was a slow whimsical rhythm to it, she sounded exactly how someone would picture an enchanted being to talk like.
Floodfate didn’t believe for a second he was being rewarded. His clan didn’t trust him and he suspected this was another test of his loyalty, at least until he neared the border and saw a pair of foreigners waiting close together. Maybe he had been sent here for another purpose entirely: they were working their hardest to be rid of him. Well, if they wanted to accuse him of plotting with the other clans, they had something else entirely coming. As a former SunClan initiate, he doubted Arcticsong would be happy to see him, but he was almost certain she had no idea he had been in the clan. Floodfate was forgettable, and he has joined during the Shadow Era.
“What a surprise seeing you all here,” Floodfate muttered gruffly as he approached them, grey ears twitching back.
Northwind froze when the musical voice hit her ears, she had been too focused on not falling that she hadn't left her hearing open past a certain point, at first she assumed it was a Dayclan cat but the scent that met her was of Sunclan. The blind she-cat lifted her head, her long pelt shifting slightly and she locked her unseeing eyes on Arcticsong, at first glance they seemed relatively normal, golden amber; but if you looked closely enough there was a hazy film covering them. She had prepared a comeback had a Dayclan warrior found her, but what did she say to this cat?
"Are you lost?" Simple, throw the question back at her, then figure out the rest. As she stood waiting for a reply, she caught on to the scent of Nightclan and turned her head just in time to hear a second voice. "Oh yes, what a surprise to see you here as well." The retort came with a sharp edge, she couldn't tell by smell who exactly either cat was and it frustrated her, but hearing the tom mention seeing had hit a long buried nerve. It seemed being in unfamiliar territory was getting to her.
"No, I'm not lost, thank-you for asking," Arcticsong said, her voice serene as a breathless airy day, "My name is Arcticsong," She introduced before leaning far too close to Northwind to smell her, "You're land is very treacherous and cruel, I hear good things about WinterClan," She complimented. Or at least that was probably a compliment.
The small she-cat looked to Floodfate and then back at Northwind, she looked uncomfortable as she shuffled her paws, "I don't usually see so many new outsiders strolling about here. What are you two up to?"
What are you two up to? Floodfate pinned with her with a disbelieving look. He weighed his choices. As much as he wanted to tell her he came out here to cause trouble, it would do no good if Flamingstar heard about his defiance. Should he just leave now, or was he supposed to fight the other two? He didn't fancy his odds if he was taking them both on at once.
"None of your business," he said eventually. His piercing baby blue gaze turned to Northwind. She was touchy, and he wasn't sure why. Not until he studied her closer and saw the film over her eyes.
Floodfate laughed derisively. "They sent a blind cat to kill me?"
Northwind shook her head, she was now regretting accepting this task but it was too late to turn back now so she took a seat where she stood, assuming that she wouldn't be going nowhere anytime soon with these two now here. "Strange compliment, but true none the less." She commented back to Arcticsong, it was true that Winterclan was cruel but it wasn't just the land that made it that way.
What was she doing here... Ha, as if she would tell the strangers. "I thought I would go sight seeing, everything in my home looks the same." It was a joke of course, everything looked the same to her, dark. It seemed Floodfate wasn't going to spill either, but what was all this about killing him? "Oh yes, have you never heard of the blind assassin?" She got to her paws again and turned to face him directly, eyes locked on his as if she really could see him. "Are you really that dense? What would I gain in killing you, it seems your leader wouldn't mind you dead though if she sent you here to your possible demise."

"Oh really, I'm spying for SunClan on DayClan. But since neither of you are DayClan cats I guess I can tell you that freely without needing to dispose of you," Arcticsong said decidedly. Her peach colored paw anxiously teared into her long haired tail, pulling at knots. Her body was beginning to feel warm underneath the two cats stares, "I'm having trouble trying to decide who to spy on though," She admitted.
Northwinds head shot to Arcticsong, her openness about why she was there catching the blind cat off guard. "So Sunclan has sent someone as well, that's interesting." She couldn't tell if the odd she-cat was fearless or just stupid in revealing herself, but she did have a point; none of them were dayclan cats. "What about you? Have you been sent here for the same reason?" She didn't bother facing him again, but her questions were clearly directed at Floodfate.
Floodfate glared into Northwind's eyes, his ears pinning back. Floodfate knew as well as anyone that blindness didn't stop a cat from being a capable warrior, but he found it hard to believe that Flamingstar would trust someone like this to come after him. Maybe she didn't have a paw in this after all, and she believed him when he swore his loyalty to the clan.
His weight shifted as he nodded minutely. "You want me to believe that both of your clans sent you here to spy, today of all days? Seems like a big coincidence," he pointed out. Floodfate didn't believe in coincidences, so who was pulling the strings here?
"Yes, that is what we said. Why is it not hard to believe when each of us come from clans that don't have good history with DayClan?" Arcticsong asked with intrigue.
"Orders are orders, plot or not we follow them." Northwind commented, she was given a mission to complete and she would do it, she didn't know how Nightclan trained its warriors, but seeing how Floodfate was she could only assume it was poor training. "Arcticsong has a point, none of our clans have good history with them, coincidences are a thing you know."
"Hey." Arcticsong said before fumbling a bit anxiously with her tail, "Northwind."
She hesitated again seeming shy at the question, "What's it like in WinterClan, Northwind? I just wonder. My moms from there so I wonder. A lot. Am I being rude?" She asked with a guilty expression in olive green eyes.
She hadn't been expecting that from the other she-cat, Northwind liked Winterclan, it was her home but her upbringing there had been less than favorable because of her mother. "It's cold, most everyone is pushy and self righteous, it isn't the best for cats like me who aren't perfect. I suppose it has its good things as well though... Wait your mom is from Winterclan?" She turned toward Arcticsong curiously. "Who is your mother?"
"Littlestar." She spoke the leaders name with interest, so this was one of the Sunclan leaders children. She had heard stories of the she-cat, she was a powerful leader. "You have quite the mother, but I don't know if I would go as far as to say that Sunclan is the best." Northwind collected her thoughts and smiled. "So what is it that makes Sunclan the best clan, I want your honest opinion."
Floodfate nearly choked. "SunClan is the best, are you kidding me?" he laughed derisively. "Your clan is an absolute mess. Did you forget about the gathering where you killed your own god?" Floodfate had been there in the crowd, watching his own brother explain his part in cursing the god. It was good entertainment, he had to admit.
i think this takes place after the gathering? i can't remember if it was before or after bloody's ascension
"We have the Sun God," Arcticsong said, but immediately was visibly put down by Floodgate, "Had the Sun God," She said, her paws moving closer together as she began to fidget with her tail, "My moms powerful, there's no greater leader than her," She said as she pulled strands of her fur out in an attempt to undue the knots, "And my sisters are the strongest warriors there are. There's no better army in the whole forest than us. My mom told me so, she wouldn't lie," She assured Floodgate as she pulled out a giant hairball of a knot from her tail before tossing it in another direction.
