Plot: Alabasterpaw and Thistlepaw were told to collect some moss by the beach when they notice Seapaw and Lostpaw hunting nearby. Suddenly a large storm comes, the heavy rains pushing all four apprentices into the ocean water. The cats are able to grab onto a large log and climb on, however while all four sit on the log they drift farther away from home. It’s up to the four of them to survive together, get to land, and find their way home again. Start the roleplay with the three struggling to climb onto the log.
The sudden storm that rolled above them had sent excitement through Seapaw until she realized that the force of it had washed not only her but Lostpaw and two Summerclan cats into the ocean, her head bobbed up and down as she kicked her legs furiously against the ever powerful current, trying to spot her clantmate. Her legs were growing tired and began to slow down when she noticed Lostpaw had managed to climb onto a decent sized log a little ways away, with her eyes set on that she started to push herself through the water again, stopping only when another head in the water caught her attention.
"Hey! This way!" She called out before her own head dunked below the salty liquid, resurfacing she changed her direction and headed towards the apprentice she would come to learn was Alabasterpaw.
Thistlepaw felt a wave go over her head and she yowled in terror. She wasn't as powerful of a swimmer as Lightpaw, even as a SummerClanner. Through the rain and waves she could barely hear anyone else, though she knew they were there. Thistlepaw had seen them get pushed into the water at the same time as her. What were they going to do? As her head rose up during a particularly high wave, she caught sight of one of the cats who had been hunting latched onto a log. If she could just get over there! Closer and closer she pulled herself through the waves, desperately trying to reach the log and cat. "Please!" she cried out, sputtering around the water. "Help me!" The drenched ginger hoped to StarClan the cat would be able to reach her. Once she was safe she could think about Alabasterpaw but until then her goal was self-preservation.
Alabasterpaw was a strong swimmer. He'd been found on the beach as a kit, after all, and faired much better fishing with the snowy white pelt of his than hunting any other prey. At first he swam toward the log as the SwiftClan apprentice beckoned for him but, upon hearing Thistlepaw's calls for help, he redirected his direction and instead swam over to his clanmate's side. It was hard work to be sure, fighting against the waves, unlike him they never did get tired, but before long his pelt brushed up against Thistlepaw and he barked, "Hold onto me!"
She held on to Alabasterpaw with her teeth and her front legs churned in the water to keep her floating. Thistlepaw was exhausted from the powerful waves threatening to take her under. Just a little bit longer, and then she would be at the log.
It was a lot harder to swim with another cat on you than Alabasterpaw had expected. He'd caught fish about half the size of the other apprentice before, however they were hydrodynamic, the waves didn't try to pull them away as much a water-logged cat. Still, he did manage to make it back to the log after just a few tense moments. He made sure Thistlepww had a good grip on it before her let her go and began to try and climb up himself.
"Help her up!" He called out to Seapaw, even though Alabasterpaw himself probably needed more help. He was growing exhausted. A few moments ago he'd be up on the log right now, but at the second he was struggling to find the strength.
