Embertiger wasn't usually an early riser. Especially "it's still dark out" early. But here he was, padding softly out of the Warriors den and heading towards the camp entrance for a walk he supposed. He wasn't sure. Just knew he had to move. He felt strange when he sat still. Not right. Like something bad would happen. And so he moved. Constantly. Oh he slept, better than his brother it seemed as he noticed him laying near the warriors den gazing up at the sky. He hadn't even noticed Embertiger leave the den.
"Poor Wolf..." He murmured as he padded silently out of camp and into the waiting forest. "He hasn't been the same since .." he shook his head. Part of him blamed himself. After all he had found the first of them. And then soon...the rest were there. Laughing. Playing. Loving. It had been perfect.
"Too perfect." He spat. "Why!" He growled as he tore his claws down the bark of a tree that he had wandered too close to. "Why us?" He slashed again. "Why not just go for the kill? Why the game?!" Slash after slash, cut after cut until the tree bled it's sap and the scraped bark cut his paw pads...the tree and his own blood, mixed. "Why?" His voice had gone from fury to broken in a matter of seconds as he asked the night the questions that troubled him day after day...
