Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Wow. That's all Azura could think in the past week. The Sun God died. He died. Like isn't coming back for a long time. It was probably the best news she had heard in months. The tyrant was burning, or maybe freezing, somewhere he deserved. It was all music to her ears and euphoric to her mind. The initiate had a skip in her step as she padded around the camp. Would she even need to learn about him anymore? She laughed under her breath. Hopefully not. It's not like the Janus expected her to show up anyway. She found a nice shady spot on the side of the gorge and rested her head.
As all the cats walked by, she could almost find joy in watching all of their solemn faces. Azura saw one particular snow bengal kitten crying in another corner of the gorge, and Azura could help but laugh at the sight of her. 'They really got to her early.' She thought as her gaze traveled around the camp looking for some other mourners.

Jetfire
SunClan Warrior
The Sweet
Jetfire sat off away from the rest of the clan on her own. The normally nearly uncontrollably rambunctious she-cat looked sullen and withdrawn, not even trying to offer any sort of moral support or distraction to the rest of the clan. She didn't even approach the crying kit to try to make them laugh. She watched with puffy eyes, having clearly been crying herself though she was trying to hide it. Most cats assumed that she was upset over the Sun God's death, or the fact that her mother was now in a comma with no idea when or if she would awaken... and while that was part of it, there were many other things going on beyond the surface.
Azura never met Jetfire, but she had heard of her, and heard her. Her voice echoed in the gorge's walls, even long after she left. Her silence and general withdrawal did not go unnoticed. Even more unusual was how she stayed away from the spotlight now. If she broke down, the initiate would have betted on her life that she'd grieve where all the Clan could see, no tucked away in the corner. Azura, perhaps one of, if not the only, dry eye in the Clan padded silently over to Jetfire. "His death is nothing to cry over. He had it coming."

Jetfire

The Sweet
Jetfire blinked, her mind scrambling for answers before it set in that she was talking about the Sun God and not Sorrowfularia "The Sun God's death is a tragedy" she murmurered though there wasn't much passion or sadness behind the statement "but he will be reborn again, and return to SunClan just as mother prophesied" her eyes kept drifting downwards as she spoke, for usually cats just went on their way agreeing with her.
She liked that sound of that. The dryness in her voice was music to Azura's ears. She prodded Jetfire again and sat down next to her. How much did she distrust her leadership? "It's a shame about Littlestar, but she had it coming too for working with that monster. She chose to stay ignorant." She paused. "I mean, she kind of redeemed herself, but not really. She's definitely doing better than Foxbane did, but that's a low bar." She had been in SunClan for a few moons at this point, but she never really socialized that much, so she didn't know who was related to whom. "I'm surprised Bloodyrondo hasn't killed her. He cared so much about that pile of fox dung."

Jetfire snapped, this she-cat could insult the SUn God all she wanted, but her mother was another matter entirely. She leaped to her paws, giving little time for the other she-cat to react as she aimed to pin her "Say what you want about recent event, but say one more ill word about my mother and I will tear your throat out myself"
Azura did not expect such a violent reaction from Jetfire, but her time in the Bright Brigade in DayClan served her well. She managed to slip underneath Jetfire as she went for the pin. She winced in pain as she felt the wound on the back of her neck reopen, and then cursed herself under her breath. She'd have to get Bloody to fix it later. Exactly who she wanted to talk to. "I'll say what I want." The look in Azura's eyes spoke all the words she didn't say. They challenged Jetfire to do something else rash, something else emotionally charged. Azura took a breath in, and then out. She was ready this time. "Your mother agree with me. She killed the Sun God to redeem herself. Are you blind!?"

"No, but you are" the look in her eyes very different now, and much darker as she started to circle the other cat a growl rumbling in her throat "Whatever it was that killed the Sun God, it wasn't my mother" he steps never faltered "I was there, and that thing inside of her wasn't my mother, and I better never hear you soil her name with such filthy words"
She raised a brow as the Jetfire started circling her like a hawk honing in on its prey. She had her worked up to a breaking point. Now, she had to see if she could find that edge. The chaos coursing through her felt... good. She hadn't let loose this much chaos since her time in Absum Lux. "Let me just say this: who is more foolish? The fool or the one who follow the fool?" She paused. "Ask me, it's the one who followed the fool, and looked away whenever the fool made a mistake. Mistakes that cost cats their lives."

"You are right about one thing..." she growled circling around until she found herself in position "Mistakes cost lives" with that she launched herself at Azura from the side, claws extended. This wasn't a faint or half-hearted attempt, instead a carefully planned execution. She was going in for the kill
This was more like it. Fire coursed through her veins again for the first time since she was carried nearly lifeless into SunClan's camp. Azura knew this could reverse her recovery, but she didn't care. Someone needed to knock some sense into Jetfire, and it certainly was not going to be anyone else in the self-righteous clan. This time she used a kick from her hind legs to spin her body around as the she-cat went in for an attack. "Stop being so emotional. Think with your head!"
While she herself was very direct, the groups she grew up in were not. She was born in Absum Lux, and her first trainings came from there. One principle still rang in her mind after all those years: evade and wait. Much like the group itself, she favored evasion until she had an opening or no other option. It also made Jetfire the aggressor, so maybe her punishment would not be a severe.
