Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Radiantpaw had heard numerous tales from her mother Summersolstice (formerly Burningstar of NightClan), about Glowstar's parties. So she endeavored to do the same. She was going to hold a party of her own!
She felt that the day after the gathering where the Sun God kinda sorta died, was fitting. Plus her new friend from MoonClan who she'd met before the whole, Sun God killing went down was like 'this spot in MoonClan is the perfect place. Nice big space for everyone, plus we're right on the edge where the Gathering space is so if someone comes along and is like 'hey get out of MoonClan' easy to shift over'
It had taken some work and asking for help from some cats but now a party had been set up and already some apprentices had gathered. Well a lot really, but it was fine. And one of them had suggested a really great game she was keen to try.
"Hey everyone!" Radiantpaw called climbing up a tree to get above everyone, unintentionally picking one of the trees the leaders stood on since the party was spilling out of MoonClan territory into the gathering space (as some were a little nervous about being in MoonClan, while others were having fun snickering as they 'trespassed' they were young cats what did they expect? They got to have a little danger of being 'intruders' without the actual threat... probably).
But anyways, her being on the leader tree was finnneeee. Her mama was a former leader and Littlestar wouldn't mind, she wasn't here right now. "So we've got a really cool game we're gonna do! So like, I was thinking, 'Hey Radiantpaw, what's a really fun way to break the ice with all these new cats? What would we all know?' Then it hit me! We've all got leaders and well former leaders too, so I went 'Hey, some of the awesome cats from SwiftClan talked about this cool thing called 'Fling, Mate, Kill.' Where you say which cats you'd fling, mate or kill. And since we all know leaders and former leaders, there's plenty of cats to choose from and no worry about ya know needing to know every single leader. It'll be a fun cool game! Sound good to everyone?"
She waited all of two seconds before nodding to herself. "Perfect! You!" She pointed to one of the cats down below. "How about you start us off! Which leader of former leader of all 11 clans and groups would you Fling, Mate or Kill?"

"Aren't you supposed to give us three choices, so it's harder to narrow them down?" Pineapplepaw from Fallclan tilted her head after she spoke. Of course, she came when she heard there was gonna be a party. Not quite the icebreaker she expected, but she had heard some of the older apprentices playing it after learning it from Calamitystar.
In other parts of the crowd, Princepaw and Smolderingpaw, both from Dayclan, were chatting it up with different apprentices. Princepaw had a crowd around her, delivering cheesy lines and handing out flowers she brought from each. While Smolderingpaw walked off after the topic of sensitivity came up. To the others, he reacted too strongly and heated, forcing himself out of the conversation. When now, he was just cursing himself. pao
"But then I'm not getting your honest, gut feeling about the current and former leadership. Like Littlestar is awesome but I don't have any interest in her. If I were to answer the question I'd say... Fling Foxbane former High Priestess of SunClan, Mate Glowstar leader of DayClan, and Kill Flamingstar leader of NightClan," Radiantpaw meowed. "But I bet there's some cats that don't know any of those cats. Right?" She looked around the crowd of apprentices and young warriors.
Speedpaw glanced around then hesitantly raised his tail in agreement and immediately Radiantpaw nodded to him. "See! It's no fun unless I'm getting three leaders or former leaders you know. Plus there's also the possibility of someone bringing up a cat you're related to, like Summersolstice, aka, Burningstar former leader of NightClan is my mom and that'd be just... weird. No. So, the only restriction is they have to be a leader of former leader of a clan. So..." She fumbled not knowing who they were. "You, start off by saying your name and who you would have a Fling with, who you'd mate, and who you'd kill of leaders of former leaders of the 11 clans and groups!"
Parties like this were not Swiftpaw's style, and normally she never would have come. Even the drab lifestyle FallClan was giving its exchange apprentices would be better than being here around so many overexcited young cats playing games she wouldn't enjoy, and yet here she was. Swiftpaw was trying to be more outgoing, and that meant going to events like this, even though they made her nervous. That's what she was telling cats who asked, anyway, not that any of them had yet. There was no other reason for her to come to a large gathering of cats like this, she was adamant about that even as she looked about for a familiar face.
Swiftpaw smiled a little as her brother volunteered an answer, but she didn't go to him. She had just spotted her only friend, so instead, she wove her way to Pineapplepaw's side and gave her a nudge. "Well, go on, what do you think?"
"You want to kill Flamingstar?!" Luckypaw gasped, staring up at Radiantpaw. "How could you? She's a leader, you can't do that!"
Radiantpaw chuckled. "That's how the game works," She told Luckypaw. "Don't worry, if you'd rather just considerr 'kill' as 'I really dislike this leader'. No one's actually going to kill anyone." She assured her. "It's all in good fun."

( this is mostly for me to keep track of but I've got: Charmingpaw - Fallclan Skeletonpaw - Swiftclan Lobsterpaw - Swiftclan Mythpaw - Fallclan Chaipaw - Fallclan Blossompaw - Springclan Subaru - not actually an apprentice of Moonclan but just got dragged into this )
Chaipaw swayed back and forth happily, waiting to see if anyone else was going to speak up. She wasn't usually the shy type but her cheeks blushed pink when she thought of who she would be mates with if given the chance. Sweet, strong Jayjack. She let out a cheery sigh just thinking about the praise he gave her the other day. "Do they have to be leaders?" She asked absent-mindedly. -
"Of course they do, dimwit." Mythpaw responded with an irritable flick of his tail. He knew this had to be one of Calamitystar's games. It was equally agitating how they bought into these kinds of things. "Fling, Flamingstar. Marry, Wintrystar. Kill, eh, Calamitystar." He answered shortly to get it done and over with.
-
Subaru didn't know how he got into this but he figured it was best someone kept an eye on all the apprentices anyways so here he was. That, and plain curiosity made him show up.

Speedpaw, "Oh, that's cool." He nodded to Mythpaw, the SwiftClan apprentice having been sticking close to the cats he was exchanged with. "Uhhh," He paused trying to think of the leaders he knew. "Well... Glowstar is very pretty, I'd go with Fling Glowstar, Mate Thistlestar, and kill... well I really didn't like Hystericstar sticking us with those three so I'd have to say him for the last one." He admitted shuffling his paws.
Radiantpaw nodded. "Yes, yes, now you guys got it!" She said bouncing and nearly fell off the branch in the process. She noted Subaru and beamed. "Ayy! And there's the guy who helped me set this up! Everyone say hi to Subarupaw!" She said beckoning to Subaru, "It's thanks to him I got this all set up as fast as I did."
Really it had consisted of her, finding him, interacting, asking for a good place. He'd hesitantly said MoonClan and she'd jumped on it. No questions asked.

Pineapplepaw simply waved her tail as Radiantpaw corrected her. Maybe she expected more from others around her age. How could an apprentice not know who Glowstar, Foxbane and Flamingstar were? Oh well. She giggled as Swiftpaw bumped into her, enjoying the other's presence more than she wanted to admit. "Let's see... well, kill Hystericstar. Obviously. That Commader's mate is pretty cute, so fling Sean. And mate... hmmm, I'd say, Wintrystar. What about you, Swifty? Or are you even thinking about leaders after the meeting?"
"Oh. Well, in that case, I would kill.... hmm..." Luckypaw considered the question seriously until Subaru's arrival when he perked up and waved his tail at the new arrival. "Oh, hi! Thanks for setting this up!"
Swiftpaw gave her friend a flat whats-that-supposed-to-mean stare. "I'm not thinking about leaders or anyone else," she answered tightly, "but if I had to choose..." She had an idea of who she could choose, but she wasn't quite comfortable with all these cats around, so she went for the safest picks there were: cats that had already been mentioned and met with approval. "Fling Calamityshrine, mate Thistlestar, kill Hystericstar."
"All right, who's next?" Speedpaw asked glancing around at all the apprentices.
Zinniapaw straightened up, "Oh! Oh! I'll go!" She said tail flicking behind her. "I'd say...." She looked thoughtful. "Fling Funk, Mate Thistlestar, and Kill Flamingstar because she's been super mean lately."
"Hey, when your neighbors steal your medicine cat of course you're going to retaliate!" Viridianpaw called from his spot in a shadowy spot at the edge of the group.
"Hey! No fighting at the party!" Radiantpaw said looking to Viridianpaw, "Fun times will be had here and that's it. No quarrels. Only fun."

Subaru waved his tail awkwardly. "Hey there. Yup, Subarupaw's the name and holding apprentice gatherings on Moonclan's territory with the Cardinal's permission is my game." Oh man, he was in deep dookie if Leviathan found out... "Yeah, uh, lets not fight."
Chaipaw let out a soft sigh, signaling she was about to speak. "Well, like Swiftpaw, I'm not thinking about the leaders much these days. I mean, I already have someone I like." A mad blush rose to her cheeks and she glanced away. "I think I would fling Funk, marry Chimerastar, and kill... well, there's not really anyone I would want to kill... but if I have to choose, Wintrystar just because she intimidates me."

(yes. fling my boy more)
"Ah, lovely choices from my princesses. But as the great bard once said Doubt thou the stars are fire; Doubt that the sun doth move; Doubt truth to be a liar; But never doubt I love.." Princepaw purred, paw on her chest. "If I had the choice, I'd marry all of you princesses. Fate is cruel though, as are the rules it goes by. I will say fling Orchidstar, marry Toystar and kill Dealstar." She didn't really consider the possibility that none of the other cats knew who those leaders were. They were all dayclan, all legends in their own rights.
"Who even are those cats? There's no way there's a cat named Toystar!" Viridianpaw called out again.
"They're DayClan legends!" Solarpaw shot back at the uncouth tom, then he let out a chuckle. "Princepaw, your selection was lovely as always, as for my selection I'd fling Wintrystar see what she's like," He meowed with a wink and a purr. "Then I'd mate Commander Shule, and then I'd kill Foxstar," He said smoothly.
Her ear twitched at the familiar voice and Swiftpaw couldn't stop herself from looking around. As soon as she realized what she was doing, her ears pinned back and she returned her focus to Pineapplepaw, stepping closer to her as an aggressive self-reminder.
"Well I'm not interested in toms," Luckypaw declared loudly, "but there much be a reason everyone liked Dealstar so much. I'll fling him. And then I'll marry Phoenixstar-" he smiled smugly, glad he could think of a name the other cats might not know, even though he didn't have a clue what the leader was like "- and I'll kill Ratstar because he looks very scary."

Princepaw rolled her eyes at Viridianpaw's outburst. It was fairly disappointing how unread these apprentices were. Maybe she should start up a bookclub or something. It'd be appropriate for a historian to do. Though she couldn't help but be relieved when Solarpaw agreed with her. "Ah, thank you, Solarpaw."
Pineapplepaw laughed under her breath as Swiftpaw pressed herself closer to her. Though she also had no idea who Princepaw was talking about, she furiously scribbled down their names in her mind to learn about later. She lightly tapped Swiftpaw with her tail. "Not charmed?"
Smolderingpaw kept to himself. Normally, this was his scene. But today, he wasn't really feeling it. He picked at the grass below him, some part of him hoping someone would come and talk to him. pao
