Plumkit's little grey tail tapped swished against the floor of the nursery as he nervously eyed this big ol bug. "I-it doesn't bite, d-d-does it?" He meowed out loud to the others in the nursery. It sure did look menacing with it's weird stinger thing on it's tail and big ol claw things in the front. He thought maybe he remembered a story about these bugs that were awfully similar-sounding. Scorpions? He couldn't remember if it was dangerous or not, though.
Bluekit eyed the bug warily. He disliked that it was there and that he was in this situation, but he felt the need to show that he could protect his clanmate. "I don't know," he replied, body doing its usual twitching. Under the stress, it was moving more than usual and he turned to give his tail a little bite before turning back to talk to Plumkit. "I could try to kill it for you, if you want." Please don't want, he thought.

"No, no, no, no, no!" Plumkit stammered out with a wide-eyed look in Bluekit's direction. "You could get hurt!" At his exclamation, the bug skittered towards them a bit. The grey kitten let out a yelp of surprise and jumped behind his denmate. "M-maybe we should get a warrior? Or the leader?"
"Ee!" Bluekit squeaked, moving to rush behind Plumkit but having to stand his ground instead. Only one could stand in front after all, and Plumkit had moved faster. "Uhh! Nono, we can - I can take care of it. Maybe we can just scare it away!" His tail was violently twitching and he eyed the creature with fear and disgust.

"B-b-but how?!" Plumkit squeaked, peeking out from behind Bluekit. He was desperately trying to recall what the elders said about scorpions and how to get rid of them.
Bluekit let himself look behind him at Plumkit, and when he turned his head around again to look at the creature, it had moved even closer. The kit took a step backwards, bumping into his denmate, before replying. "Maybe um... Maybe we should intimidate it!" The idea seemed like a good one. Bluekit hissed at the bug and took a threatening step forward again, no longer pressed against Plumkit. As he swatted with one little paw, the thing raised the back half of its body up and began a little dance. Bluekit quickly backtracked, this time turning tail and rushing behind Plumkit.
