Subaru stood with his back against the burning red moon, watching the territory silently. It was his time for guard duty but all seemed clear, well relatively. His eyes shot a warning smirk at some kits that were inching along the side of camp, obviously on a mission to escape and explore. He cleared his throat to let them know he was quite aware of their antics. Although he hadn't been a member for long, Subaru felt a protective surge towards the innocent littles. With the threat of chaos hanging in the sky, it was best they stayed as far away from danger as possible.
After they slunk back to the Nursery, his attention turned back towards the land sweeping out before him. He squinted, wondering if he would be able to see an intruder at the border from here. Probably not, but the idea made him feel powerful.
Subaru may have scared her siblings into behaving, but no way was she gonna back down so easily. Briarkit waited for the tom to turn back to his duties so she could stalk his tail. Oh, he'd never see it coming. The youth held her breath as she crept toward him, thinking that it would keep him from noticing her. Then, she crouched down low like she'd seen the students in camp do, and she wiggled her haunches to try and get the perfect spring. Then she launched herself at that tantalizing tail.

His ears pricked as the sound of a little object rustling behind him grew closer and closer. It took everything in him to keep a straight face and let the fluffball think he didn't notice. As soon as she clamped down on his tail, he let out a fake gasp and turned a few times pretending not to see her. "What has my tail? Is it a monster? Or could it be a mischievous ball of fur with teeth and claws?" He turned to look her in the eye with a smirk.
At the tom's gasp, Briarkit backed up for a second to see if he would retaliate. Instead of seeing her though, he just looked around for the source of the attack. I'm down here silly, she thought, giggling aloud before he spoke. Said mischievous ball of fur with teeth and claws let out a little growl when he met her eye and hunkered down in a playful crouch. "It's a monster!" she cried suddenly, rushing back for the tail again.
