Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. She clambered onto the pile of corpses carefully, placing her paws not on their faces but on the sturdy bodies. After piling the squirrels and rabbits and voles so carefully, she would hate to lose one of them and send the whole arrangement toppling down. But it was working; for now, her pile held steady, and Serenekit found herself at the very top of a mound of dead prey, reaching to stare over the dens.
"It's too far," she realized in disappointment, her voice a faded whisper. Her structure was leaning away from the nursery, so there was no way she could jump on top of it from here.
