Flamingstar exited her den, her belly swollen with kits. She waddled as she made her way toward Spiderfang. "Spiderfang" Flamingstar greeted as she approached. "Would you mind going for a stroll with me? I must speak with you."

Spiderfang looked up from the last of the mouse he had been devouring, surprised to see NightClan's leader standing over him. She had hardly ever spoken to him, much less asked to speak with him in private. He stood, towering over the queen his powerful muscles rippling "As you wish"
She turned and led him out of the cavern and into the forest. "Perhaps you may know or you may not know but I've been keeping my eye out on you. Your skills and loyalty toward Nightclan has stood out among the rest. Capturing Divinehope the other day was nonetheless extraordinary. Maybe you were just there at the right time but now we have a leverage on Sunclan thanks to you. How did you find Divinehope anyhow?"

He rolled his shoulders in a shrug "NightClan is where my family resides, there is nothing I wouldn't do to keep them safe" it was an honest answer, but perhaps not the one the leader wanted to hear. He didn't really hate Flamingstar, but nor did he endorse her. To him she was merely a stronger leader than they had in the past, a leader capable of leading NightClan to being stronger "It wasn't all that difficult to capture her, SunClan should think carefully before allowing kits to wander on their own"
Flamingstar twitched her whiskers in amusement. "You speak the truth. I've called you out here to offer you a proposition. As you know, the Loyal Guard is made up of the most elite warriors and are my most trusted. You have done me a great deal and have shown exceptional skills. You hold great promise. I want to offer you a Loyal Guard position. However, with this, one must undergo a test to be sure of one's true loyalty and to prove to me that you have what it takes to be a Loyal Guard member. Do you accept my proposal?" The Nightclan leader slowed to a halt and turned to looked Spiderfang in the eyes.
