Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
When he initially saw Yuccablossom in DayClan he almost had to give a double take. He thought she would stay in SwiftClan, almost feeling SwiftClan was safer than DayClan since they weren't neighboring next to a cult. But he supposed even in WaterClan as safe as a clan that was it was still where Caspianpaw died. He avoided her as usual only grinning and baring it if she approached him, but by day five he felt comforted coming into DayClan day after day seeing her there. Lately he hadn't been able to stay in the league at all now that he was Snowthorn's servant, which forced him to stay in DayClan more. He wasn't used to staying in one place, but was beginning to enjoy the consistency the way he never thought he would after spending his whole childhood in a cave.
Leucisticcrow shook out his pelt after returning from a patrol, once more spotting his daughter, but this time he made his way over to her. He came up from behind, his tail poking against her left shoulder before kissing her on the right cheek, "I brought back some food, if you want some it's being seasoned right now."
Yuccablossom started purring when she first noticed her dad approaching but after that kiss on the cheek her rumbling could he heard fox-lengths away. She was so very pleased to get some attention from her father, she always knew that he loved her dearly, but moments of affection like this were her love language, "Oh I'd love to have dinner with you! What did you catch?"
It was easy to let your guard down around a cat like her. The tortoiseshell wore her heart on her sleeve, always had, and was about as sweet as can be so long as you didn't try to cause trouble. That being said, Yuccablossom would forgive any cat for any thing so long as the admitted remorse, honest or otherwise did not matter, she took it all at face value and was strong enough to not get hurt when she was inevitably wrong.
"Salmon," Leucisticcrow replied, which sounded about right. Her parents did live in WaterClan for a long time, they still hadn't quit fishing even though they moved to new places.
Settling down next to her he groomed the side of her face lovingly, "Did you have a good day?"
Normally he wasn't this affectionate, but it was time he grew up and actually spent time being a father. As his mom always said, it's never too early to be kind. If his family was moving into DayClan then this was a new start for all of them. In Primal Instinct he always had to be careful about affection, never knowing if he would be forced to fight his own family. Here it was safer to love without consequence.
"MMmmMm... haven't had that in a long time, what I treat!," Yuccablossom purred, she wasn't the type of cat to have a favorite food - or favorite anything in general - but salmon was a treat that evoked fond memories of her youth in WaterClan. She found herself thinking of her brothers specifically, they'd be so jealous to see her getting all this special attention!
"Yes, I did have a good day, thank you for asking" She returned the grooming but she had always been rough about it, putting so much force in her strokes that a weaker cat was likely to topple over, she didn't know her own strength, "In the morning I was on a hunting patrol with Fia and Goldenphantom, they are just the cutest couple I swear! After that was over I helped some of the apprentices clean out some dens, changed out my nest while I was at it, played with the kits for awhile then went out for a walk and, well, now I'm with you. How about you? Do anything fun today? Besides fishing, of course!"
