Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
After so much traveling and preparation, Unseenlights couldn't help but feel like marriage ceremony itself has only lasted a heartbeat. Littlestar and Glowstar had officiated the wedding side by side, the newest married couple having followed a blend of SunClan and DayClan traditions so that their union was official in both of the clans.
Unseenlights leaned into her mate, as they walked down the path lined with their family members leading to the reception as the showered the new couple in seeds. Even if she had wanted to, the two cats were now bound together both metaphorically and physically. Their front legs were bound together by a painted vine that they had hand crafted, it wound around both of their legs and tied tightly into a beautiful bow near their chests. Around their necks pulling them even closer was a lasso of blue sea holly and pearls. On their back legs, they both wore a wedding band of sapphires and crystals, some of which they had cultivated on their first official date. Delicate and detailed lines of paint graced her pelt, carefully designed an executed to accentuate all of her best features. Her long black fur fluffed out and groomed to perfection by none other than Duskslayer himself. The two of them had spent hours togather before the wedding working on their matching designs, though her hadn't seen the final touches or accessories before the ceremony.
Unseenlights was grateful for his gentle touch, the way Duskslayer was able to guide her paws through the crowd even though her senses were in overdrive. The scent of the blue seas holly flowers on her crown filled her nose, made it difficult for her to discern specific scents within the crowd. The jingle of the the silken train of flowers, beads, and gemstones distracting her from focusing on specific voices. The two new feathers that dangled from her ear, tickling the long fur along her neck and making her think someone was brushing up against her other side. Normally this would have been terrifying for her, but even now she walked with a bright confidence, pure joy radiating off of her in waves. Her face was lit up with a smile leaving little trace of the shy withdrawn she-cat that most cats knew her as. But in this moment... it seemed as if nothing could dampen her spirits.
She leaned in and whispered in his ear "Dusky... if this is dream, don't wake me up in the morning"
When he first heard about love it was through the arranged marriage between his parents. The older days seemed a whole lot simpler, priestess said they were married, they were married. Now there was floral arrangement, garments, decorations, customs, traditions, community and family to consider. At first he tried to play it off like nothing matter except for Unseenlight's and him, but anyone could take a look around and tell the amount of care he put into the preparations. He may have gotten a little out of control with the decorations...
There were clay sculptures circulating the reception, each telling a different part of their love story, but the tiny one in the center on top of the ceremonial loaf of bread was them on their wedding day. Now what was a ceremonial loaf of bread? He had no idea, but it looked like they would find out at some point.
Duskslayer wore a long feather cape with turquoise feathers that matched his eyes, the edges licked in gold. Blazing blue sapphires collared his neck to keep the cape in place. His paint was very regal, almost a plain design, but the colors stole the show. They had an iridescent shine, more vibrant and textured than anyone's paint. He wore a gem stoned headdress, the white stones were small and simple, but the sapphire at the center of his forehead shimmered like sunlight filtering through a dark blue sea. It was the same sapphire Unseenlights gave to him after their first date.
He was blushing far too much, even with the paint he knew everyone could tell. At first he wondered if it was from all the attention, but he realized he never walked this close next to Unseenlight's before. They were literally attached by the hip, he could feel her warmth and soft fur and only want to press into her, let the moment sink in.
"That's the good news, realities finally better than we ever dreamed," Duskslayer purred as he walked into their party venue.
"much better" she replied purring, whatever DayClan had cooked for the newest married couple, its smelled wonderful. Even though she couldn't see it, the smell was so strong that it even overwhelmed the scent of the flowers she was wearing. She couldn't see that clay figures that Duskslayer had made for their wedding, but she knew they were there. Duskslayer had taken her to inspect them before the wedding, letting her run her paws of the detailed surfaces of them so that she could experience the artwork for herself. It had been a very special moment, and she couldn't help but fall deeper and deeper in love with cat she was now lucky enough to call her mate.
It felt natural to be so close to him, like he was just an extension of her self rather than a separate cat. Even as their attendants came and removed the lasso and the vine that bound them at the end of their walk, Unseenlights was in no hurry to increase the distance between them. She wasn't exactly sure what was supposed to happen next, but in this moment she was just glad to be by his side "The only shame is I can't see how handsome you look" her cheeks felt hot and flushed, not used to speaking so openly in public about their relationship
