Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For a long time she ignored what happened to her while she was pregnant. The abuse, the ignorance, the way the people she trusted looked at her like she deserved being forced to have kits. But of course, that had to all be pushed to aside. A girl couldn't have a revenge quest peacefully if she was having a nervous breakdown from social injustice and disgusting crimes against she-cats. Now though she accomplished all that she desired, she allowed doubts to leak into her mind again. Especially when Harvestpaw and Sweetpaw came back home talking about the apprentices they met by the border.
Back when she was pregnant Bloodyrondo had felt far more than two kits. She hadn't thought back about it until now, hadn't allowed her mind to settle back on that discussion. But now with this discovery on top of what she was told previously it stretched beyond her curiosity, she had to know the truth.
Scanning camp she spotted Goldenphantom in the distance, her tail flicked a greeting to the immortal council member before approaching. "What up, Goldie?" Autumngossamer purred, "I heard your kits met up with mine at the border."

She tried not to let it bug her, how Fia never really gave her an answer as to where their kits came from. When the topic would come up, the other would smile and say she took them from some kittypets or the like. Maybe sometimes it was loners, or another clan. It was the same song and dance. But Goldenphantom had never been able to fully swallow that pill. It seemed all too convenient. Not that she wanted to distrust Fia, but it was clear she wasn't told the entire story. But then one of them would call, and she would push those thoughts out of her mind. Keeping herself busy and worked till she was numb felt the best way to deal with her doubts.
They were a pawful, but Golden never minded. Anything she could do to make them feel like they belonged and loved, she did. Though as they've gotten older, and had slowly began to branch off, it let her thoughts settle again. Especially when they came back saying they met a pair of Sunclan apprentices at the border. The lump in her stomach couldn't help but form, she had had just about enough of them after Bloodyrondo invaded their ranks. The only one she really liked was...
The golden tabby's ears perked when she heard her name called. It was an off day for the Stormcrow Battalion so she hadn't really chosen what task to carve herself into today until Autumngossamer showed up. Goldenphantom flicked her tail as the Soothsayer approached, spoke into existence. "Hey Autumn. You know how I am, always keeping myself busy. How are you?" She couldn't help but be relieved when she heard the pair of apprentices were Autumn's. "Oh, I heard they met up with a pair of Sunclan apprentices. Sorry for any trouble they gave them. They're a bit troublesome." Golden purred.
Out in DayClan Autumngossamer appeared stronger than she ever did standing in SunClan. In SunClan she stood strong by putting others down, threats, bragging, but in DayClan she looked strong by the way she held herself. She didn't have to force herself to appear in control because she was. In some ways SunClan's egotistical approach damaged her strength as well as everyone in it more than it benefited them.
"Yeah well my kits are your classic SunClan brats so I'm sure they were intolerable too," Autumngossamer purred. Although she knew that wasn't entirely true. Harvestpaw only acted out when he felt he was letting himself or someone down and Sweetpaw couldn't help, but be as bold and egotistic as she had been at that age. Hopefully she would outgrow it like she eventually did.
Looking at Goldenphantom she felt safe in her presence. Sitting down next to the golden feline she continued on, "If I go too far just tell me, but your kits are at least around the same age as my kits and from what I hear their looks have a remarkable likeness to my kits... On top of this. Littlestar said that she was keeping something from me about what happened that day I had kits in DayClan. I didn't press her, Littlestar's a very certain, but in that moment she looked remorseful. So do you see what I'm trying to ask you without coming off accusatory, but absolutely am because I can't help myself?"

Meanwhile, Goldenphantom felt she was on constantly shifting sand. Like her mind couldn't be made up no matter how much she tried. So much has changed, but also hasn't. The kits, being with Fia, the slow realization of the tension around her. It kept her on guard. More than the tabby was used to. Golden kept that silenced though, behind the mask like usual.
But Autumngossamer was one of the few she could be more genuine with. Not that she expected her to not judge her, but just cause they were friends that had been through much together. Nothing had been a walk in the park but Goldenphantom didn't think it would be. It was a strange security she felt with the Soothsayer. Goldenphantom nodded along as Autumn spoke, letting herself reflect on her doubts. Just the thought of someone taking her kit's from her made her heart feel like breaking. She could never imagine what Autumn has been through, if what she was saying was true. But then, they wouldn't be her kits, huh? "Yeah, I see. Though I'm sure there are plenty of other kits around the same age and look similar to yours. ...Sorry, I suppose I'm being selfish. But now that you bring it up, Fia brought the kits here when they couldn't have been more than a week old. She never really said where she got them, but she wouldn--" Goldenphantom stopped herself. Because she knew it could have been, that Fia could have stolen Autumn's kits. And she would have.
"Selfish?" Autumngossamer repeated as a question, almost like the concept of it was lost on her and possibly was given her questionable personality. When Goldenphantom finished she took a slow moment to think over everything she heard, "We should ask Fia, but I hope you know from what I've told you before that even if they are technically mine I would never even think of taking them back to SunClan. I'm SunClan's soothsayer, but I'm still objectified and mistreated, I would never want anyone to go near a place like SunClan. I just want to know the truth that is owed to me, but I don't want to hear it from Littlestar because I can't trust her anymore." Her honey brown gaze darted to the side, she really wanted to hate Littlestar, but as much as she wanted to there was no point.
Selfish. That was right. Because Goldenphantom didn't want them to be Autumngossamer's kits. She wanted them to be her's. To not have to live with the fact that they were taken from their mother, even if it was for the better. That there was change. In reality, it made no sense. But Golden's mind had warped on itself, collapsed and used to constantly putting the blame on her. It was her that told Fia she wanted kits, right? It was, wasn't it.
She appreciated that at least if it were true, they wouldn't be taken away. Back to Sunclan, a place she never wanted any of them to go. Autumn deserved an answer though. Her friend did. Even if she didn't. Her lips tugged up into a smile anyway, one that was so clearly fake she should feel ashamed. "Of course." There was no reason to think things would change, but the thought of it made her blood pressure spike. The Immortal Council member stood, brown eyes dark as she led Autumn over to the Immortal Council's den. "She should be in here." She mumbled before sticking her head in. "Fia dear. Are you in here?"
