Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
“It’s right over here.” Phoenix said as he led his sister farther into the forest. “I have never seen anything like this have you?” The brown tom came to a stop in front of a pair of wings. Just wings. Layed out on the forest floor in front of them were a pair of gray wings spread out as if whatever they belonged to had been flat on its back. The wings were severed cleanly from the rest of the seemingly nonexistent body, a little of the bone and dried blood showing but not a feather was out of place.

This was her reputation, a strange passion. Ever since she was young, she would pour all of her nervous energy into solving mysteries. Granted, they were mostly small and easy. Like who took the last piece of prey from the pile, or who covered a bed with mouse bile. This was a lot different. Sioux followed her brother through the forest, under the pretense that this was her expertise. Though when they came upon the body, or really lack of a body, she was thrown for a loop. The black and brown she-cat walked around the pair of wings carefully, making sure not to touch anything that could be considered evidence. "No... We're dealing with someone good. Especially with cuts as clean as this." Not a feather out of place, and a lack of blood told her that this had been a while ago. "If it was just for food, why even bother going to this extreme?" She pondered to herself.

"Can we really rule that out though? There's not much meat on the wings, maybe they just wanted the rest of it and left the wings?" The brown had no idea what he was talking about but, it was a good reason as any to sever the wings from of a bird, or it was in his mind anyway. Still out of respect for his sister, he sat a a ways away from the crime scene to that he wouldn't risk accidentally tampering with any evidence that could of possibly been left behind. His green eyes scanned the area for signs of.. well anything. but in truth he had no idea what he should be looking for in the first place. Settling on the obvious Phoenix began to check the perimeter for any tracks or even a single foot print.

Sioux appreciated the distance, it let her lift and prod at things as she wanted. “True, we can't. I've never seen anyone go to the effort of it though. Most cats just eat around the wings.” Sioux answered, voice airy like she was gonna zone out again. A starving cat wouldn't go to the effort, she couldn't help but think it was done deliberately. The cuts were too clean, too perfect. Black paws flipped the wings over so she could look underneath them. The culprit also did an amazing job of covering their tracks, intentionally or not. But there was no thing as a perfect crime, and Sioux's claws clicked together as she pulled her first clue off the ground. “Maybe. It's a couple strands of white fur.” She could only tell because they stood so in contrast to her own dark fur. “But this could have been here before... still we shouldn't ignore it.”
