Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Levee sighed, finding himself in his medium’s den for the first time in… actually he couldn’t remember a time he had ever been in the medium’s den. Well there was a first time for everything, and it seemed like today was the first time for a lot of things. Like the cardinal spraining his paw for the first time trying to catch a rabbit running down hill and accidentally tripping and rolling down the hill instead. Of course he didn’t tell Nereus the full store when he had shamefully limped into the gray cat’s den, and even now he refused to meet his eyes, his ears burning with embarrassment.

It was weird. To be brought into Moonclan as a Medium. It took a lot of quiet studying of the notes left by the previous Medium. He couldn't believe how well documented they were, and also how detailed they were. Whoever they were took this very seriously. And he was grateful, cause his last knowledge was so buried and faded in his mind that he worried for the clan when Leviathan took him back. Though now, as Levee couldn't meet his eyes, he couldn't keep the grin from gracing his face as he quietly examined Levee's paw. "A hard fall, Cardinal?" He asked before stepping away to get some elder leaves and some cobwebs.
"I guess you could say that." he murmured, staying as still as he could muster. As always his tail flick restlessly, and his paws would of been working the ground if Nereus didn't have one of them. "I don't think it's serious" he added maybe just a bit too quickly. While it may not actually be serious it was bad enough that the cardinal hadn't even tried to hide it when he returned to camp. His ankle on his right foreleg was already swelling and burned any time he attempted to walk on it.

"Possibly. It's always better to be safe rather than sorry in my book." Nereus didn't look back as he spoke, grabbing a few marigold leaves as well. For all Levee has done for him, he'd go the extra mile, even if the Cardinal would insist this was nothing. Besides, he needed the practice, a little too surprised at how well Moonclan could take care of themselves. "Would you care to lie down or have a few poppy seeds for the pain, Leviathan?" Nereus asked his voice was as soft as ever.
"Maybe... just to take the edge off." He didn't tell the medium that he planned to still walk around on his injured paw after this was over. Reluctantly the black and white tom laid down, already relieved as he did so. It was hard for him to admit when he needed help, and laying down while in arguably vulnerable position felt beyond weird. Seeing as it was stupid to feel this way he didn't comment on it. "Just don't put me to sleep" he purred.

"Very well." Nereus purred, grabbing two poppy seeds before returning to Levee. "Though the bed is free if you want to." As much as he would have preferred Levee to sleep it off, the Medium wasn't one to force his way onto others. Only forceful enough to grab an extra poppy seed than he would have. The wind really suit him, though he was a gentle breeze. He placed the poppy seeds in front of the Cardinal, ready to start chewing the herbs when he remembered something. "I can make a splint for you too if you'd like, Cardinal." He hadn't had the chance, and the notes had all sorts of knots and twigs he was interested in trying as he chewed the herbs into a poultice.
"Do you think that's necessary?" Levee lifted his head quickly to look at his Medium, his tone wasn't judgmental, but rather curious, and some might even say a bit wary but the Cardinal was good at hiding his emotions behind a smirk. This was new to him, and even he had to realize he was on the verge of being a poor patient, lightly questioning the gray cat at every turn but not because he doubted his skills. With a small sigh the black and white tom dipped his head to his friend. "I'll do whatever you feel is best."

Nereus was fine with it. Now he found himself suddenly more familiar with Levee's ways than he would have thought acceptable. Not that Nereus minded. They were the only two clergy members at the moment, so it only made sense they spent a lot of time together. Least that was the Medium's justification as he spread the poultice over the sprained ankle. He smiled just a little as Levee seemed to defer to him. It made him feel he was getting a little better. "Depends on if you'll actually stay off of it or if I gotta make you." He purred, able to joke in a way that didn't sound demeaning to Leviathan, and more of a butler lightly chastising his master. He wrapped the leg in cobwebs carefully, webs light enough to just keep the poultice in. "Then I'll make one for you real quick."
