Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Beestripe moved confidently through his territory, muscles moving underneath his dark striped fur. He reached the border of SpringClan and breathed in, enjoying the air. Everything was so nice and the tom was happy to have a moment away from the busy camp. He liked it usually, but he'd once again gotten in an argument with someone and his clanmates weren't to happy with him for it. As he walked the edge of the territory, a new scent hit his nose. Was that another cat?
(This is them meeting for the first time right? cookie)
Kittypet life had been amazing. Pets all day, food she didn't have to hunt for, and toys everywhere she looked. It was bliss. Until it wasn't. They'd left, taken all their things from the nest and just left. Twolegs who'd raised her from a kitten and treated her so kindly and they just left her there in the empty nest with one of the doors open. She panicked after a week of waiting for them to come back, and made a run for it. That was yesterday, and now she lives outside in a world she's never ventured into. It's scary, this new place. Prey is everywhere, but it escapes her grasp, birds with sharp claws have chased her a few times already. And then there's the sleeping arrangements. No more are there soft, fuzzy blankets to curl up in, but hard, cold grass and places nestled between tree roots. Currently, she laid in what she'd finally claimed as her bed last night, two rather large tree roots where moss grew and made it a little more comfortable than any of the other areas she first looked at.
The warrior was intrigued. This cat was not a SpringClanner. Beestripe slowed his movements so he could stalk the scent and finally put eyes on who was there. It was a gorgeous white she-cat the bluest eyes. What was she doing out here? The scent didn't match any of the clans in the area, and he knew another cat might be on edge but he just wasn't. The dark tabby came closer to her and finally he spoke. "Hello!" came the cheerful voice.
She laid there, frozen at the sound of a voice calling out to her. Gods above, she was dead meat. Whoever it was would probably kill her so was sure fo it. Lamb curled in tight, her fur raised, and her claws out. The least she'd be able to do would be to get in a good hit or two, maybe even make a run for it. But she wasn't confident in anything. Let alone her abilities to protect herself against anyone, prey, hunters, or other rogue cats.
Beestripe's friendly smile drooped at the she-cat's reaction to him. Why was she acting like he was going to attack her? "Don't be scared," he called to her, trying to keep his voice at calmer level than his clanmates were used to. His eyes roamed over her beautiful fur and caught a little tuft on her head he instinctively wanted to smooth down. Beestripe mentally shook his head at that. What was wrong with him? "I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Beestripe."
i guess haha, the point of the thread was to just get used to rp-ing them together and see how they met, but it probably isn't necessary. we can skip to a clandestine meeting perhaps?
(ohhhh my bad! Didn't bother to read the thread before asking to time skip just cus I knew it's been some time and figured stuff might have happened plot wise for each of them since then. I'm down from going from here though lol) cookie
Lamb curled further in on herself. Beestripe? What kind of name was that? And was..was he a kittypet too? One lost and forgotten as she had been? Abandoned by those who had raised her? Even so, she couldn't trust him not to do the same as her twolegs had. He wasn't mush different. A friendly face, a sweet smile, and a handsome personality, even dark furred like they had been. Lamb had decided since she'd left her home, the one she'd been abandoned in that she would not trust again, especially not any more toms. Her toms had left her, so why wouldn't others? Clearly there was something about her that was not worthy of keeping.
More silence from the she-cat. Beestripe frowned. This was going nowhere. With a sigh, he took a bold step toward her, anticipating either a clawed paw to swipe out at him or her to dart. "How about you tell me your name?" he asked as he walked closer.
“Why do you want to know!” Her words were full of venom as she looked for an escape route. She could dart past him to the right, but he was much larger than her and would surely catch her. The white she-cat Arche dher back, showing off her teeth. Maybe she could show she was a threat and he’d leave. Though she kind of doubted it since he could see she was far tos mall to be much of a threat at all.
The bared teeth were cuter than they were ferocious, but he didn't tell her that. "You're so defensive," Beestripe snapped, then had the decency to look bashful. Yelling at a scared cat was stupid. "Sorry. I was just asking because.. well.. I think you're pretty." There it was. He said it. Now she'd run off and he'd never see her again. He wished she'd given her name last time they'd met. Beestripe had been selfish and only given his. Dumb move because now she would be spooked and then all would have been for naught. pao
Lamb was shocked, frozen from it and unable to process what she'd just heard. Had...had this tom, this stranger just called her pretty? Did he imply that her fighting back the way she was was pretty?!? God what was going on! How was this her life. Dumbfounded, she sat down, just deflated before the tom's eyes in her stricken state of confusion. "What..?"
