Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It had been awhile since Ghazen had been here. Even longer since he visited with good, arguably neutral, intentions. He had never been far, mostly spending his time in the city, but that ended when the League decided to move in. The pure black tom waited at the northern edge of SunClan's territory as the moon rose above the horizon. The tom knew the Clan was largely inactive during the night, but he himself was more nocturnal. He wasn't a part of their culture. No need to conform yet, not that he had a plan to. Only venturing out into the daylight when duty called, he had been nocturnal his entire life by choice. More or less he knew it would stay that way in SunClan. Persistence defined who he was.
His frozen optics scanned the desert for any signs of movement as the night rolled on. Surely, someone would come soon.

Sorbetpaw
SunClan Apprentice
The Fortunate
Sorbetpaw stalked forward slowly, each pawstep carefully placed upon the soft grass as she eyed her prey. A mouse scurrying along the roots of the tree, she was just about to pounce when a loud screech filled the air and an owl swooped in. She screamed herslef, leaping backwards, but the bird confused flew straight into the trunk of tree. As it struggled, she lept onto it's back biting hard until it stopped to move. Now not only did she have her mouse, but and owl to "To bad no one was here to see that" she purred inspecting her catch "no one is going to believe it"
The tom wandered into the territory towards some of the more grassy, less arid areas of the Clan's territory. He could start to smell DayClan and some of the other ForestClans before he saw the shadow of an owl passed over him. He had not eaten since last night, and owls usually meant prey was nearby. They had far better eyesight the him, so he just followed the owl. It wasn't long before it screeched for a second time, and suddenly it dive bombed into the grass in front of him. He heard the tree shake on impact, followed by Sorbetpaw's comment to herself. It was quite unbelievable what happened, he'd give her that. Ghazen's chilly blue eyes settled on the she-cat's neck. "Lucky..."

The orange she-cat jumped, spinning around to face the strange cat. Most SunClan cats would have acted hostile, but Sorbetpaw wasn't like most other SunClan cats "ooooh well hello there stranger!" she purred, a big smile spreading across her face "You look awfully hungry and tired, want to try a bite? I got lucky and caught two things. I'm sure my mentor wouldn't mind if I shared"
He raised a brow at this. The tom remembered SunClan reformation, and this kind of behavior would never have been permitted. Sorbetpaw would have been punished for it, but who was he to judge? Ghazen shrugged and pointed to the mouse. "Sure."

Sorbetpaw placed the mouse at his paws for him to eat, and then one paw on the owl. She would take it back to SunClan. After all it would feed several cats, where as the mouse would only feed one "I hope you like it!!! Momma says the mice here taste the best because the get nice and plump off all of the nuts and berries!" she chirpped cheerfully sitting down to watch the new cat eat "I'm Sorbetpaw, but you don't have to tell me your name if you don't wanna"
He smiled and pulled the mouse closer to himself before taking a bite out of it. It was clearly well fed, just as the apprentice promised it would be. The pitch-black tom looked up from his meal, and he nodded his thanks again. He did not expect this welcome when he walked across the border, but he'd take it. "Ghazen." He mewed as she finished speaking.
Sorbetpaw was certainly unusual by any Clan's standard, but especially SunClan. He remembered the pious origins of the Clan from Foxstar's rule. He had been on the other side of the reformation in MoonClan. During his time the two never fought in any wars, but tensions remained high as they ever were.

Sorbetpaw shifted back and forth in place as she watched that cat eat, humming a little tune "Ghazen.... that a cool name, but Ghazen what?" She tilted her head to the side, before her eyes suddenly widened with fright "OH... IM SO SORRY!!" She pleaded "I didn't mean to offend you, you must not have gotten your warrior name yet! I just assumed where your bigger than me that you would be a warrior for sure. Forgive me for being so rude"
The tom chuckled and continued working on his mouse. She either had never left SunClan in her life, or she was willfully ignorant. Probably both. In any case, it had been a long time since he considered giving himself his name back. When he found balance again he would return to his old name. That was why he came here. To find balance. His icy optics looked up from the mouse to the apprentice. "Initiation."

Sorbetpaw put her ears back expecting some sort of rebuke for her words but instead she only found looks of amusement "You here for initiation?" she tilted her head really confused, most of the initiates she saw were not exactly happy to be there "WELL HOW WONDERFUL!" she gushed like a mother over their kits "I will teach you all about the Sun God and how awesome he is!!!"
He simply nodded as he finished up his mouse, but he felt strange. He had felt some weird feeling inside of him stirring since he neared the Forest Clans, but it only seemed to be growing. Perhaps it was just nerves. Unbeknownst to Sorbetpaw, the tom once lived in MoonClan when they worshiped Selene. There was a lingering fear in the back of his head that he'd get burned to a crisp by the Sun God for it. "Begin."

"Welll......." she dropped into a playful bow, waggling her hind end in the air and bouncing back and forth "The Sun God is like super cool, ya know? He is always warm and cuddly. He has like the poofiest fur around, and its so soft!! When you see him you have to touch it, but you won't be able to see him yet. Not until you pass initiation.... ummm...Anyway, Littlestar will wanna know that you want to initiate"
The tom chuckled as the young she-cat described the Sun God. He would have never described any deity as 'super cool' or 'cuddly'. They never really fit those descriptions. He knew what the Moon Goddess looked like: cool, calming, and graceful. He expected the Sun God to be more volatile than his previous deity. Ghazen always thought the Sun God would be an emotional fireball, not any of the things that Sorbetpaw described, but whatever. It was probably something to distract the young apprentices. He nodded and looked towards the center of the territory. "Fine."

Sorbetpaw nodded, picking up her owl and leading the way towards SunClan's camp. They whole time the two of them walked, she continued to talk in a jumbled stream of words that were nearly impossible to make out. After lack of response most cats would have stopped, but the cheery continued to chirp along.
While she might have kept on talking like a squirrel with coffee, the tom completely tuned her out. Her voice became part of the background noise. The pitch black tom's gaze wandered as they moved through the territory. As they strolled through, he couldn't help but notice a strange feeling grow inside of himself. He felt a cold numbness course through his blood as the got closer to the heart of SunClan territory. Perhaps it was Selene getting ready to smite him for his transgressions, or maybe the Sun God getting ready to burn him to ash. At this point, he had the favor of neither deity.
He kept his eyes focused on the land in front of him as the pins and needles spread to his limbs and rose in intensity. A harsh hiss escaped from his lips as the feeling peaked before rapidly subsiding. He let out a deep breath before turning his gaze back to the apprentice. "Far?"

Sorbetpaw was blissfully unaware of the fact that her new companion had stopped listening to her as she placed her owl down for a moment "Not far, but stay close or you will get lost!" she grinned picking up her owl and motioning for him to follow her into the tunnels
He stayed silent as he entered the tunnels. What little light he had soon disappeared into nothing as the darkness swallowed him whole. Instead he focused on his sense of smell. He as he followed the she-cat he picked up on the branches of the tunnels that were seldom traveled. The air stayed still in those tunnels, and few scent lines went to them. Still, he didn't trust himself enough to risk separating himself from his guide. He stayed right behind her during their trip through the tunnels, but he had one lingering question. "Deaths?"

Sorbetpaw tried talking but her mouth was muffled with feathers as the emerged back into SunClan's camp. She sat the owl down by the entrance, knowing that it wouldn't last long and smiled "Come on, Littlestar is up there!" she pointed upwards, as the path lifted upwards towards the sky. Various dens branched off from the path, but the High Priestess' den was at the very top
He chuckled as he heard the muffled sounds of the apprentice through the owl. Frankly, it sounded the same as when she was talking normally before. He just didn't have to pretend to care. As they broke through the tunnels he took in the sight for the first time. Granted, it wasn't much to behold at night, but the gorge did make a great camp. He looked to where the apprenticed gestured, and then brushed past her as he headed for the top. "Show me."

Sorbetpaw grinned, breaking into a run and shoving her way to the top of the path, not afraid of bumping other warriors out of her way! She was far to excited to show the High Priestess her new friend. "LITTLESTAR" she called out loudly as she burst inside to see the small grey she-cat sorting herbs "I BROUGHT US A NEW FRIEND"
