Turbulentsea
NightClan Medicine Cat
The Conflicted
Turbulentsea could hardly see past the blinding light that flooded into his eye. He lifted his delicate paws rubbing at his eyes, trying to bring them into focus. The last thing he could remember he had been on his way back to NightClan, when he had felt a prick on his shoulder. He had thought it was a bramble, but after a few steps.. .nothing... So how had he wound up here? Where was here?
The first thing to come into focus was the smooth floor that felt hard and unforgiving under his paws. It was tan with swirls of creams and red, warm to the touch... nearly hot even. The strange flooring continued, as he came to realize that the entire structure was made from it. He couldn't really make out much about the world outside of the den, hearing nearly no sounds or scents coming from outside. All he could see was the shadow of a guard falling inwards in contrast to the brightness
"Turbulentsea," Bloodyrondo said as he heard the NightClan medicine cat stir. He turned around to face the prisoner, his expression impossible to read. The two of them were alone; Bloodyrondo had been guarding. Typically the job would be assigned to a regular Warrior but this was a special case and the Priest Promised wanted some privacy. Besides, there wasn't much Turbulentsea could do to hurt him, he assumed that like most other Clans's medicine cats he had an only rudimentary grasp of fighting, "Glad to see you are awake. That was my first time using a tranquilizer, you know, I was a little worried. Do you know why you are here?"

NightClan Medicine Cat
The Conflicted
A tranquilizer.. That explained the sharp pain before he had passed out, the fog that clung to his mind, and the soreness of his muscles. What it didn't explain was why the priest promised had decided to take him. He thought back to the night before and how the tom had been acting strangely, how he had walked past all the other medicine cats and had taken a seat next to him. He should have recognized the warning signs, but kidnapping another clan's medicine cat was a serious offense. In doing so Bloodyrondo would have to know that if found, it would mean war "I could venture a guess, but I'm sure you will tell me either way. SunClan cats don't know how to hold their tongues"
He rolled his shoulders, before and turning to begin grooming the dirt that had been caked into his short coat and was tugging at his skin in a rather carefree manner.
Bloodyrondo didn't like how Turbulentsea seemed so... calm about all of this. The last cat he had drug to SunClan, Cypressblaze, had taken it all much, much worse. But she was young ad stupid. The NightClan medicine cat was neither. He approached the shot-furred tom slowly, his celadon eyes reflecting the stone walls surrounding them in the low light. From his ear dandled a simple silver earring christened with a blue jewel although in the darkness it looked more like midnight. Likewise, his red body paint matched his namesake, resulting in an overall sinister look that few had seen Bloodyrondo wear although surely that number would be increasing in the coming moons, "Back at Mooncreek, I learned that you are an Elemental. I do not know what your abilities are but I do know they are wasted in a Clan like NightClan. I'll have you initiate into SunClan so you can use your gifts to serve the Sun God as all Elementals aught to do. After all, I have reason to believe that all gifted cats draw their power from him, regardless of the afterlife they worship."

NightClan Medicine Cat
The Conflicted
How in StarClan's name had Bloodyrondo overheard his conversation with his ancestors? Or perhaps he had heard it from Ahava, or the rumors that circulated about him back in NightClan and how he was some sort of monster. He had a target on his back ever since the day Flamingstar had taken over, and he had refused to support her leadership. Really there were quite a few ways in which this SunClan cat could have pieced it together, but how much did he really know?
Without looking up from his grooming he replied "You know I met your Sun God once before, he wasn't all that impressive. That night the stars and moon goddess outshine him by far" of course he was referring to the half-moon gathering in which all the deities had gotten into an argument about their superiority. It was almost as dramatic as a scwable between kits to young to form rational thoughts. As he finished cleaning the patch of mud he moved to inspecting his claws that gleamed in the warm sunlight "you really should have thought threw this little plan of yours more carefully instead of acting upon a whim. You don't know that I have any power, and even if I had what they were. Perhaps I could be of use to SunClan, but perhaps not" he shrugged
"it won't take long for NightClan to notice my disappearance, I was set to arrive back by sunrise. Even though we don't get along, Flamingstar will not want me to end up in enemy paws, I know to much. Her paranoia will get the better of her, and when she finds out where I am.. and she will find out... it will mean war" he put away his claws only now looking up up at the red priest promised "a big risk for sunclan for so little potential return"
"You're joking, right? I didn't take you for a comedian." Bloodyrondo chuckled, drumming his claws against the stone floor, "Look, I learned a long time ago that preaching down here in the darkness isn't the way to bring an outsider to the light. That's why we have an initiation process. Unlike StarClan and the Moon Goddess, the Sun God plays an active part in the daily lives of our Clan. He frequents morning prayers, socializes with all ages of cats, and offers advise to strengthen the Clan as a whole. You will see once I allow you to leave this prison... but before I do that, you need to tell me more about your Element. What type is it? And what is your ability?" He leaned in close, his claws still drumming against the floor, threatening now, "Oh, and don't play dumb. While Flamingstar doesn't understand the true value of the Elemental cat, I do. I'm not afraid of a war with NightClan for the reason. Only a fool would disregard such a powerful tool; she let her fear rule her and choose ignorance. I've chosen enlightenment."

Turbulentsea
NightClan Medicine Cat
The Conflicted
Refusing to be intimidated, Turbulentsea rose to his paws "For a cat claiming to be enlightened, the similarities between you and Flamingstar are quite striking" this cat didn't know what powers he possessed, nor why he had been gifted them. For a moment he had allowed himself to believe that he might find answers here, but apparently that wasn't the case. All he would have to do is keep his mouth shut and wait on NightClan to come for him "that hungry look in your eye, using others as tools"
He retreated to a more shaded spot within the cave, the shadow falling upon him. His skin had already started to turn pink from the harsh rays of the sun. With so little fur to protect himself, it was easy for him to get burned "Think I'll pass" he laid down, stretching out against the cooler stone to try and lower his body temperature "let me know when you having something of some interest for me, in the mean time think I'll take a nap"
"What, you mean Flamingstar and I are both red cats? Can't argue with you there, although I will say I take much better care of my fur than she does," Bloodyrondo replied with his usual arrogance, it was honestly hard to tell if he was being sarcastic or totally serious, "We are all servants - not tools - of the Sun God. As Priest Promised, I naturally have some authority over you but, rest assured, before his holiness, we are equal. Regardless, you have done enough sleeping. It's time for you to show me what you can do. That's a rule you all insisted on us having at that gathering will Elementals were created, isn't it? 'All elementals must fully disclose their powers when joining other forest clans.' It's one of the only ones I agreed with. So... fess up."

"Call it what you will, in the end the result is the same. The masses being used for the benefit of the few" completely ignoring the priest's commands, he yawned before laying down his head upon his paws "you say you are different yet here you are walking in the same pawsteps as those before you. Your journey may vary slightly, but the destination and the tactics used to get there are the same" he closed his eyes even though he continued to speak
"First you'll try and convince me that you are different, that you are on my side. Sweet honeyed words difficult for even experienced cats to ignore. When that doesn't work you'll appeal to my morals as a medicine cat, how by serving your god I'll be able to do more good than I could ever accomplish in NightClan. How many lives I could save.. When that doesn't work you'll resort to threats of violence, going after those I care for to try and force my paw into working with you. When that fails, torture. You are not the kind of cat to give up quite so easily now, using the tools at your disposal to break my spirit. Oh yes even I have heard the horror stories of your clan's experiments. Rest assured, I'll kill myself long before I break. Or perhaps I'll die during your little initiation ceremony, I wouldn't be the first" his eyes peeked open his tail flicking until it wound itself around him
"So you'll have to excuse me if I decide to spend my time sleeping. With my death and or a war looming on the horizon, I'll spend my time how I choose instead of playing your silly little games for I am not breaking the rules. SunClan doesn't consider cats as part of their clan until they pass initiation. Until then, I have yet to join your clan, nor am I required to disclose any information about myself"
"You sure talk a lot." Bloodyrondo said shortly, his temper very well nearing its breaking point, "You can make this easy or you can make it hard but either way I will leave converting you to some other cat. Any one of us will do. What you're trying to do right now is stall. You don't want to talk about your Element, so you're trying to distract me, and maybe that would have worked a moon ago but not anymore."
The Priest Promised padded up to Turbulentsea's makeshift nest and put his paw on top of the other toms. He unsheathed his claws and pushed down, just barely breaking the skin, not enough to make it bleed but enough to make the other cat uncomfortable. Bloodyrondo had never used torture before. That was typically a Janus task and he had skipped over that training. However, it couldn't be so hard, and in moments like these he channeled his father, "I'm getting annoyed. Tell me your Element and maybe I'll let you have your nap."

Turbulentsea couldn't help but chuckle as the other tom's claws slid into his paws, sure it was uncomfortable but after almost dying twice now the pain of it hardly registered "You are letting your inexperience show" he advised an amused expression on his face "It's rather simple little flame, but you are not even following the first rule of a proper interrogation. Who would of thought that the second in command of the fearsome SunClan would be such a novice" he jerked his paw back letting Bloodyrondo's claws tear his paper thin skin as he did so
"You are so focused on finding out a single piece of information, that you have missed the real truth starting you in the eyes. If you haven't figured it out by now, then you might as well leave now, and fetch someone that actually knows what they are doing"
Little flame? Bloodyrondo returned his claws to Turbulentsea, this time on his forearm, and really dug in this time. He was shocked by how quickly the NightClan cat's skin yielded to his claws, it was easier than shredding any prey animal or even herb. He was shocked. No wonder he was a medicine cat, there was no way that a cat as weak as this could fight as a Warrior. Blood welled up from the wound now put Bloodyrondo just pushed down harder. He wanted to get a reaction.
"Quit trying to play mind-games with me, I'm too smart to be fooled by the likes of you!" He hissed through gritted teeth, "Tell me!"

Turbulentsea winced but refused to give him the satisfaction of any sort of recognition that what he was doing was affecting him even as the white on his feet began to stain pink with his blood "Says the cat drawing blood" he blinked gazing downwards and examining the tom's claws as the dug in "Pain and Death don't scare me Little Flame" he watched as the blood welled up, he had a worse wound just tumbling out of his nest in the morning. He was used to pain, his skin giving way to almost any obstructions "If you really want to hurt me, move your claws to the right slightly, you will be able to feel my artery. Cut that and I'll bleed out, you'll save me the trouble of having to do it myself"
"Why you...!" Bloodyrondo was not about to give Turbulentsea what he wanted. Instead, he lifted up the same paw that he had used to cut the NightClan medicine cat before and but slammed it down on his neck, pinning the defenseless tom to cold hard ground. He unsheathed his claws and drew more blood but it wasn't a seriously wound either, just as deep is the first couple, "I'm not going to give you what you want until you give me what I want. Does your Element trigger when you die, I wonder? Or perhaps it's blood related and you want me to spill more of it for some kind of secret attack. Even if you kill me now you're not getting out of this so stop trying to fight back." He pressed down harder, "I already know you are an Elemental, and you've already said you are willing to die, so what do you have to lose in telling me? Unless.... you don't know?"

Turbulentsea staid placid, knowing that in a battle of strength he would surely loose "Who said I am fighting? You are the only one raising your claws little flame" he waited, as the claws dug into the back of his neck, doing his best to remain still despite the claws digging in deeper and deeper. Yet he still didn't break, refusing to give Bloodyrondo any sort of satisfaction, but as the tom started spouting off his ideas he began to laugh "You are just now realizing it, I told you the truth was looking your straight in the eyes. I supposed what they say is true, you can lead a kit to water but you can not make them drink"
"What... is this a joke? You really don't know...?" Bloodyrondo released Turbulentsea and took a few steps back, a sardonic smile spreading across his face as he began to laugh, "I was an Elemental at one time. I knew right away what I could and could not do, it was the same as walking, or running, it was just a part of me. You seriously can't figure it out on your own!?" His laughing increased; one of the guards stationed outside poked his head it, not used to hearing such... friendly... sounds come from the prison. He eyed Bloodyrondo curiously then pulled back to his post, "I don't believe it! And you are trying to call me the stupid one!"

"Oh yes I heard all about your little elemental phase, and all of the destruction that you caused Little Flame, NightClan may live in the darkness but we are not deaf" he tilted his head to one side, then the next, easing the sore muscles in the neck from the wound Bloodyrondo had inflicted "I know your type all to way, refuse to give them what they want and their first instinct is to resort to violence. Even if I told you earlier, you wouldn't have believed a word. Not until you came to the conclusion on your own that is" He sat up, lifting his paw and running a tongue over his wounds in a carefree manner "Unlike you, mine has more... severe consequences... preventing further experimentation"
"Phase? Little Flame? Do you want to die?" A stupid question, really, Turbulentsea had made it clear from the very beginning that he preferred death over joining SunClan. It was his first reaction, he couldn't help the rage. Bloodyrondo's ears burned for being called out for his failed attempt to convert DayClan and, although he would never admit it, he hated that the NightClan medicine cat was reading him so well. Had he always been so predictable? No, of course not. Maybe that was his elemental ability? If it was, then Turbulentsea would not be here. He shook his head, "Oh never mind just... just tell me everything you know about your abilities. If ever there was a place to put them to the test, it's SunClan."

"And why would I do that when we are having so much fun?" a small purred rumbled in his throat, knowing that it would only further infuriate him "I have knowledge that you want, and you have no other way of obtaining it. So far your only solution to resort to violence hasn't worked. I do wonder what you will decide to do next"
"Oh, you're having fun? This is literally prison!" Bloodyrondo laughed, approaching Turbulentsea again, he didn't like how this tom was pretending to be so calm and collected when he knew his heart should be racing. He forced his fur flat. This wasn't going to get him anywhere, so he decided to use the last card he had, "I'll tell you what. If you initiate into SunClan, I'll let you our of here, but you won't be able to leave camp until the Sun God shines his light into your heart and given you a SunClan name. If you don't know your element, that's fine, it will be revealed in time, I am sure."
