Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
this is for the apprentice exchange! if you want to sign up, heres the link!
so what fallclan is going to do with these apprentices, and currently existing apprentices, is a lovely little training camp. All apprentices will be taken to the campgrounds for survival training! Or so it's said, but the real reason is that Hysteric got fed up with having so many apprentices and dumped them off in the campgrounds to survive for the rest of the month. 22 apprentices, Amberbird, Bijou and Jayjack! What could possibly go wrong? Feel free to make any threads on your own for this and have your own adventures!
apprentices that are technically here: Peachpaw (lavellan), Magnoliapaw (neverstarstar), Passionpaw (Cleaver), Charmingpaw (simplylight), Kiwipaw (eventide), Pineapplepaw (strawberrycupid), Mangopaw (lavellan), Melonpaw (@turtlenoir), Applepaw (pao), Acornpaw (lavellan), Lorepaw (simplylight), Wildpaw (neverforgotten), Turkeypaw (simplylight), Firepaw (simplylight) the exchange students: Tempestpaw (luciferin), Swiftpaw (cleaver), Speedpaw (Jetclaw), Skeletonpaw (simplylight), Romulus Fauna (strawberrycupid), Cloverpaw (Consuela), Lightpaw (cookie), Sunpaw (@peepingpeeper) note: you dont have to participate if you dont want to, but all of the apprentices are here anyway
It had been a huge surprise to the leader when he had woken up one morning and was immediately greeted with some fresh new faces. It seemed that, overnight, some of his apprentices had vanished, including Chestnutpaw, the medicine cat apprentice, and had been replaced with those from other clans. Yet another thing that Hystericstar had never been bothered to be told about, it seemed. So, he put up with it for a few days, before he decided on a wonderful training camp idea. He grabbed Amberbird ("in case someone gets hurt, and maybe find a new Chestnutpaw"), Jayjack ("Someone needs to keep them in line, who better than you?"), and Bijou ("Someone actually needs to try to keep everyone from killing each other") and headed off to the Campgrounds with a large amount of apprentices that could really just be an entire clan on their own.
And so, here they were. One camp, 22 apprentices, 2 warriors, and Amberbird. And, for the moment, Hystericstar.
Cloverpaw was one of the first apprentices to have gotten up. Sleep visited the Springclan apprentice for the briefest of moments before pure excitement kicked it to the curb, keeping the apprentice company throughout the night. Despite the lack of sleep, the dark grey she-cat was bountiful with energy and excitement. Her bright jade eyes took in the surroundings with blatant awe. Part of her knew she must have looked the fool, with her mouth gaping wide and her expression far too happy for any young cat in a foreign place, but she didn't care. Adventure was just tail lengths away and she was so ready!
Jayjack's sharp blue gaze raked over the ragged group of apprentices he was charged with keeping in line. He would whip them into shape no matter what it took, and by the time they left, they'd be his little army or his cause of death. The neat gray tabby stalked back and forth in front of the group, impassive until he paused in front of Cloverpaw. "What are you so excited about?" he demanded harshly. Jayjack was a kind cat, he was just testing her, or so he said; no cat had ever witnessed this supposed soft side.
Passionpaw rolled his eyes as he watched the aurulent grill the foreign apprentice. He wasn't thrilled about being here with those dirty nomadic cats again.
Swiftpaw was relieved to have her brother Speedpaw with her in this new clan. She hadn't expected to be sent out here and it made her nervous to be away from their home and without any friends.
Speedpaw moved to sit beside his sister tail waving a bit in excitement. Unlike his sister Swiftpaw, Speedpaw was filled with excitement at being in a new place. Though the movements of his tail slowed as he observed Jayjack sharply ask Cloverpaw what she was so excited about.
"I hope he's not the one they're leaving us with." Speedpaw whispered to Swiftpaw. He didn't seem friendly at all, kinda scary really, especially if he was going around asking cats why they were excited... like they'd been caught with a mouse that wasn't there's rather than just... being excited.
Cloverpaw's smile was wide as her distracted gaze neglected to see a tall warrior pausing just before her. It was the harshness of his words that spooked her attention towards him. Her ears fell flat on her head in that moment of shock, but slowly rose back up with caution. "Well... for the training... sir." She spoke up, her courage rebuilding as she stared up at Jayjack, her wide, jade colored eyes maintaining a firm hold on his own gaze, unwavering just like her father taught her despite how much her stomach was flipping with intimidation.
"You know you've got to stop intimidating our guests. The others may not mind it, but our visitors here aren't used to it," Poisonrush said as he padded up from behind the his fellow Aurulent. His gaze fell onto the apprentice in front of them. "Hello, therre," he greeted, "I'm Poisonrush and this here is Jayjack and we'll be two of your trainers while you're here in FallClan. And who might you be?" he asked Cloverpaw.
Lightpaw felt a little lost. She didn't know any of the apprentices here. Still, that wasn't going to let that stop her from learning and enjoying herself. She approached a cat nearby, clearing her throat and introducing herself. "Hi, I'm Lightpaw. I'm from SummerClan."
Speedpaw turned to Lightpaw as she came up beside him and Swiftpaw, he lifted his tail. "Hi Lightpaw," He said, "I'm Speedpaw, and this is my sister Swiftpaw," He meowed gesturing to Swiftpaw. "We're both from SwiftClan, it's nice to meet you,"
Amberbird was late to the party but he didn't really want to go in the first place. But someone had to be there to tend to any injuries, though hopefully the rest of FallClan would be fine without him for a while. Maybe he'd spend every other day with the apprentices that way he can still do his duty to the rest of the clan. Following behind him was Applepaw, who he'd volunteered to help him carry herbs he was sure he'd need. The she-cat had been walking past his den, when he'd snagged her and volun-told her that she was helping him. The one perk of being a full medicine cat, he got to boss others around. "I'm here. Are we ready to go?"
Oh, this was already going just wonderful, Hystericstar thought, as he watched Jayjack with a roll of his eyes. At least he was sending the cats that annoyed him most on this camping trip, so he would have a peaceful moon. And now that he had a deputy that he could rely on for a change, he could spend more time with his herbs. He had to feel a little bad for Poisonrush and Bijou, but the aurulent had volunteered himself for this. "Try not to bully them too much," he said as he made his way over to his aurulents. "I would prefer not to have to search for a new aurulent after this."
This was bad. Oh no. This was really bad. Peachpaw was pacing back and forth, head lowered and muttering to herself. She had to leave the safety of her den for the rest of the moon? While surrounded by others? Nope. She wasn't going to escape this one alive. They're gonna murder her in her sleep. Or, or, set up an ambush. Push her off a cliff, maybe. Poison her!? Maybe she could feign sickness and stay back at camp. Was it too late for that?
The moment a new figured stepped forward felt like a breeze of cold wind on a sunny day. Cloverpaw felt herself visible relax, her large orbs taking in the new warrior with a look of interest, though part of her still remained cautious. She was by no means scared, she had faith in this project, but it didn't mean she had no space for intimidation in her small, short-haired grey body.
"I'm Cloverpaw sir." She spoke up, her energetic spirit evident in her words, but her body language remained still and calm. "I'm from Springclan- It's very nice to meet you!" She quickly added, mentally noting her father, Smokecloud's gentle words reminding her to be on her best behavior. She couldn't help but raise her head slightly in pride as she recounted her beloved father.
"Ah, a SpringClan apprentice..." Poisonrush said regarding the the small she-cat. She sure was prideful, he 'd give her that. "Well, welcome Cloverpaw. I hope you learn something valuable while you're here. Oh, and don't let Jayjack scare you; he's really just a softy," he said jokingly. "Now if you excuse me, I have to go check on the others and make sure they're all set for what we have planned," he said as he turned to leave. With a farewell flick of his tail, he went off into the crowd.

Pineapplepaw made her way through the crowd like she owned it. She was on the younger side here, having just been promoted not that long ago. Not that she let it stop her. As Poisonrush left Cloverpaw's side, she quickly took his place. "Yeah, don't worry about JackinJay here, he's all bark and no bite. I'm Pineapplepaw and I'm from Fallclan. We should totes hang out."

While others could say they were the youngest, they definitely weren't because Romulus Fauna was here. He was pretty much convinced Chimerastar let them go on the exchange so he could be free of the quadruplets for a month. The four had spent most of their lives together, and now he was suddenly apart from them. It was nerve-wracking but he was excited as he almost stumbled into Peachpaw. A small smirk played on his face and he took a deep breath before exclaiming, "HEY ARE YOU OKAY?"

Skeletonpaw stood beside the other Swiftclan apprentices. The lanky tom beamed up at the Fallclan leader and the other warriors, an innocent, hopeful look in his bright eyes. "This sounds like fun, don't you think?"
Charmingpaw gave Cloverpaw a comforting glance and nodded at what Pineapplepaw said. "Yeah, don't worry. Many of the cats here seem harsh, but I think they're really kind." He offered gently. His gaze then drifted to the rest of the apprentices. "There are definitely a lot of us here. I'm a bit overwhelmed myself." A boyish, nervous laugh escaped his lips and he glanced, suddenly shy, at his paws.
Jayjack scowled at them all, especially Poisonrush.
"Well, now you've met two of them," Swiftpaw stated flatly, looking past Lightpaw with disinterest. She wasn't sure she wanted to be here at all. "Speedpaw, do you think we'll get our own den?" cookieJetclaw
Speedpaw cocked his head at Swiftpaw's words. "Um," He narrowed his eyes in thought. "Do you mean a den for just us as in you and me, SwiftClan apprentices, or apprentices in general?" Admittedly it would be a lot if all the apprentices were crammed into one den. But Speedpaw didn't want his sister to be lonely the first day so he stayed at her side, looking around green eyes wide as he tried to take it all in.
Had he actually told anyone that he wasn't planning on staying with them? Hystericstar couldn't remember, but his aurulents had to know that he wasn't as irresponsible as Calamityshrine and leave the rest of the camp with only his deputy. Or at least, they should know, in the leader's mind. He ignored Jayjack's scowl, as usual, and turned his attention to Skeletonpaw, his eyes narrowed. At least some of the apprentices were looking forward to this. "Yeah, sure, whatever you think," he responded lazily.
Just as Peachpaw decided that she was going to feign sickness when a sudden shout boomed behind her, causing the poor apprentice to nearly jump out of her fur. Normally, the she-cat's voice was quiet and mumbled, but the scream that escaped her was the exact opposite. "DON'T KILL ME!" she shrieked, followed by near-silent sobs as the apprentice crumbled in on herself on the ground. Tiny, tiny, she had to be tiny. If she was tiny enough, she wouldn't be noticed. She could vanish if she became small enough. It was a strategy that had yet to work, though, if the raw scars on her skin told her anything.
Posionrush's welcoming nature melted away all the remaining intimidation that lingered from Jayjack's introduction. Cloverpaw could feel her courage and excitement rush back in all at once. She offered the warrior a bright smile before he left, nodding quietly as he went off to continue his duties. She watched after him in quiet awe, but before her gaze could linger too long, a new body, one that smelled purely of Fallclan stepped in. Cloverpaw jumped back in surprise, but stepped forward as she regained herself from the surprise entrance of the new cat. The Fallclan cat, whose name was Pineapplepaw, offered a more welcoming presence which only made the Springclan she-cat giddy with more excitement. "Hello Pineapplepaw, it's so nice to meet you!" She perked up, her bright green eyes wide with growing anticipation. "I'd love to hang out with you!"
Just then, another voice entered and Cloverpaw turned to catch the sight of another apprentice. She glanced into the growing group of cat's realizing truly how big the group was for the first time. Having been caught up in her own excitement for the day, she didn't take note of the numbers until now. "Wow, there is a lot of cats." She mumbled, blinking at the crowd before turning back to the new apprentice "If it's too much for you, you can hang out with me and Pineapplepaw?" She offered cheerfully, beaming at the idea of making yet another friend in Fallclan "I am Cloverpaw, I'm from Springclan, and you?"
"Either," she admitted. "I was thinking all the SwiftClan cats, but maybe we'll get to build our own den, for just the two of us." Swiftpaw blinked at him. She wanted to be as detached as usual, but there was hope in her eyes: without their family or friends around, she needed her brother more than ever.
