Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The rules Each team will have a stick on the far side of the field. The game will be a mock battle, with teams working together to capture the other team's stick. The team leader can either command their team, or work together with them to come up with a strategy. A team wins by capturing the other team’s stick and taking it back to their zone.
Greyhunt looked over at her friends, her eyes dancing with a grin that didn't quite make it to her face just yet. To be on the same team as the ones that she knew best in the world, it was almost like they were being handed this victory. Especially when the other team was being led by the medicine cat apprentice.
Ravendagger was ready for this. He was determined to win. The tom was surrounded by those he knew and loved - his sister and mate were both with him! He bumped against one of them playfully, meowing, "Let's show the other team who's boss!"
Team 4
Deerpelt wasn't close with anyone on his team and he truthfully was feeling a bit awkward. Would they think less of him if he made a mistake? He never should have joined.
Team 3 This time, the grin did reach Greyhunt's face as her twin bumped against her. "Well, of course," she replied, as if winning was only natural. To her, surrounded in her family and friends, it was the only option. The thought of losing was far from her mind.

Meadowlark looked at her team with a critical eye, then split into a grin from ear to ear. "I think we have a good chance of winning over that pack of mousebrains!" she laughed in good humor, practically vibrating with excitement. It wasn't often she allowed her more kit-like side to come out, and so this chance given by Hystericstar himself was most welcome.

"Yeah, yeah." Shorthalt chimed in with a shake of his head, a joking gleam in his eyes. "Don't go hurting yourself. I don't have time or the desire to drag you all back to Amberbird after this." - Mythpaw's tail flicked against the ground irritably as he waited for Chestnutpaw's orders. Looking around at their team, he knew they were heavily outranked and being under the direction of the medicine cat apprentice put them at a sore disadvantage.
"Alright, team," Poisonrush said as he turned to his group. Figuring it was only a mock battle, he wouldn't use his usual methods of attack. Or would he? Fortunately for him, though, his team was comprised of all warriors so there was plenty of experience there. "How do you suppose we go about this?"he asked. Regardless of his position in the clan, he was all for inclusiveness and asking others for their opinions.
Ravendagger saw his eagerness reflected in his twin's eyes and lashed his dark tail playfully. At Shorthalt's voice, he turned and nodded at his friend, smile still half on his face. While he didn't really get along with Shorthalt's best friend, he had nothing against the gray tom in front of him and would still consider him an ally if not a friend. Ravendagger replied good-naturedly, "If we aren't all on the ground in need of Amberbird we just haven't played hard enough." Poisonrush began speaking so he turned to face their team leader, a cat Ravendagger didn't really know except by name and position. He enjoyed the company of those he knew, but honestly the warrior was a loner. He waited for someone else to speak up and answer the question.
Team 4
Deerpelt admired Meadowlark's enthusiasm and decided he'd try his best in the game for her. The apprentice next to him didn't seem too thrilled about the game - or maybe it was just the team he was put on. Either way, he hoped Mythpaw would at least put in some effort or willingly work with them.
Team 4 Cinderpaw was just glad none of his family was on the team, or there'd surely be fighting among the group. His aunt and mother were nowhere to be seen, and he wasn't even sure if they signed up to begin with. But, he planned to have some fun. "So...what's the plan?"
Greyhunt's tail lashed back and forth for a moment, before speaking up. It really was a help that she knew her team so well, they could definitely come up with a good plan. "Shorthalt here is loud and annoying, very disruptive and distractive. If he wants attention on him, it's hard to ignore him." Although her words could have come off as rude, there seemed to be a hint of praise to her voice as she went on. "Airtempest is a force to be reckoned with. She's flexible, so you could put her wherever." Sure, her friend was a nervous wreck most the time, but Greyhunt knew just how powerful she could be. Casting a smile at the orange she-cat, she continued once more, "Ravendagger and I are both quite sneaky. We could either take out the enemies while their focus is elsewhere, or steal their flag. Or both, since there are two of us. But," her eyes locked with Poisonrush once more, her grin turning into something slightly more menacing, "you are the leader here, so the call is entirely up to you. We will do as you wish."
Ravendagger nodded along with what Greyhunt was saying. He was happy she was taking charge here and explaining how their team would go about this game. As she finished with offering the leadership to Poisonrush, the dark tabby looked over to gauge the reaction.
Team 4
Deerpelt looked at his team. Three of the five were apprentices, and their team leader was one of them. Chestnutpaw hadn't even said anything, so it looked like it was up to one of the others to make the plan. Meadowlark still seemed to be the most enthusiastic but he was happy Cinderpaw had brought up a plan. The tom turned to Cinderpaw. "Good question. Have any ideas?" Perhaps this would be a good chance to let an apprentice take the reigns and learn some skills.
The tom tilted his head from side to side, considering Greyhunt's words. He had a solid group to work with. This'll be fun, he thought as he mirrored Greyhunt's grin. "I'm going to take your advice and allow you and Ravendagger to freestyle, but your primary focus is to capture their flag. I'm confident you two can adapt to whatever situation occurs and capitalize on it. Shorthalt," the tom said as he turned his gaze to the him. "If you're as big of a distraction as he says you are, I want you to do that." Since the other team was mostly younger cats, he had to use that to their advantage. Scream, shout, insult them - do whatever to get the apprentices' attention. Now, Airtempest, you and I have the most important job - guarding the flag. But, in the event that they are somehow able to distract our two attackers," he motioned to Greyhunt and Ravendagger, "I want you to go and back them up."
As much as he wanted to be actively involved, he felt it would be overkill. However, he couldn't underestimate his opposition too much or else risk doing something he hated most - lose. Looking between his group, he asked, "Any questions?"
