Last night the new apprentices had joined the clan, and after making a few comfortable nests for them, Chimerastar had left them alone to settle in. As morning rose it was Shatteredshine who awaited them, sitting outside the den with her eyes bright and shining.
"Welcome to SwiftClan, everyone! I hope you slept well last night. Today you're going to learn all about our clan and then you'll get to play some super fun games Uncle Chim came up with, like 'try and convince the ghost to come home with you' and 'clean out the bedding in all of the dens.' Now, let's go over our names quickly. I'm Shatteredshine, a warrior of SwiftClan. Can each of you share your name, your clan, and, hmm, what you're most excited to learn about our clan?"

"I heard ghost?" As if on cue, the wandering spirit on Chimerastar's grandfather, who really just tended to annoy the local SwiftClan cats, peeking around Shatteredshine to look at the young victims exchange students who had come to the clan for a short while.
Cinderpaw gazed around with boredom in his eyes. The tom could say that at least here he wouldn’t be subject to his family fighting, like always. The tom cleared his throat, speaking up just loud enough to be heard. “Cinderpaw from FallClan.” His eyes drifted to the newest arrival, the local ghost. Taht could be his fun thing to learn. “I guess the ghost is cool.”
Legend says from the distance the voice of Chim could be heard from across the camp: "GET THAT KID OUT OF HERE. THE GHOST IS *NOT* COOL."
Shatteredshine beamed to see her great-grandfather. "Everyone, meet Vulcan! He's our local ghost and he's pretty fun. Uncle Chim wants you to convince him to go home with you, so he has 'a new group of cats whose lives he can ruin.' His words. It's great to meet you, Cinderpaw! I think the ghost is cool too."
