Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[In this thread the leaders announce the Apprentice Exchange and the list of cats that are being sent to other clans. Say goodbye to your friends and family and head home with your new clan! If you want to join in, sign up HERE!]
Chimerastar shifted impatiently as he waited for the other clans to join him so they could get started. It was the night after the gathering and he was looking forward to sending off as many apprentices as he could. It would come as a surprise to his clan - he hadn't bothered to tell the 'paws they wouldn't be coming home tonight - though he suspected the other leaders had been more forthcoming about their plans.
Rushingriver sat off to the side watching her apprentice aged kits move about.
Speedpaw was bouncing on his toes with excitement. Another gathering after last night's gathering? What fun! He didn't know why Chimerastar had decided they needed another one, but the tabby tom wasn't about to complain.
SUMMERCLAN Wispypaw had known this exchange was coming up for a long time and had signed up eagerly, hoping she would be able to visit his family in WinterClan. When she learned that the mountain Clan had not agreed to participate she understood why but was obviously bummed out by the experience. Still, she had groomed her gray coat to perfection and was standing with the rest of the SummerClan apprentices who were participating, eager to find out just which Clan she would be spending the next moon in. FallClan and SpringClan both seemed like great places to live. She felt she would really learned something in either of those Clans. So long as she didn't get sent to SwiftClan, she would do just fine.
SWIFTCLAN Casimir Muda was certainly drawing eyes. A chimera cat, his face was perfectly divided half black half ginger, and his wild-colored eyes sparkled in the moonlight like bits of stained glass. He was sitting among his identical brothers but was not in a chatty mood. He wouldn't admit it, but the thought of being separated from all three of his siblings for a long period of time gave him anxiety. He hoped that, wherever he went, we would not go alone.

SWIFTCLAN Mistralpaw had tagged along with Chimerastar, wanting to accomplish her dual objectives of seeing her sister Tempestpaw off and keeping an eye on the gathering in case some emergency occurred and a healer was needed. A moon before she might have begged Chimerastar to send her away to get away from Firetooth, but since their reconciliation she was eager to learn under him and wouldn't leave SwiftClan if Chimerastar begged...well, maybe if he begged but only on his knees.
Tempestpaw kneaded the ground nervously. She had only just been promoted - finally! - and now Chimerastar was sending her away? She couldn't believe Heathersong had agreed to let her kit leave the clan, but even appealing to her mother's protective side yielded no results. So, here she was at the clearing with her sister, unsure exactly what was happening but positive it was something she wouldn't like.
SPRINGCLAN Cherrypaw bounced around the clearing, her fire-red pelt a bright light in the clearing, and her enthusiasm was infectious. She wasn't sure where she'd be going, but she couldn't wait to find out.

Swiftclan
The only thing stranger than one chimera were four, all sitting together. A few had questioned how they were here, cause they all looked a bit too young for something like this. But each insisted they were just small for their age. Not that Romulus Fauna wouldn't admit there was some truth in that statement. Compared to Casimir, he was excited to see where he was going to go, and who he could meet. He couldn't help bouncing on his paws but staying close to his siblings, and instead waving at everyone else that came.
Two she-cats sat next to each other, tails intertwined as they waited to hear what was going to happen. The fluffy orange one - Thistlepaw - was so excited she slid away from her friend, standing up and taking a few steps forward. Behind her, Lightpaw smiled but stayed put, keeping an eye on Thistlepaw to make sure she didn't start running in circles. There were other apprentices everywhere but so far not much noise. Nobody seemed to be speaking with each other.
Swiftpaw hesitantly looked about the clans, anxious to get started. She wasn't sure what was going on and that made her nervous, but should she try and talk to anyone else? She crept toward her sibling Speedpaw and sat beside him. "Why do you think we're here?" she murmured. Jetclaw
"This is going to be so cool," Luckypaw enthused, trying to act brave despite his misgivings. He had overheard the plans for the night and was excited to see where he would end up. "Where do you think you're going, guys?" He faced down the pair of SummerClan cats only to realize they weren't friends from his clan after all. "Oh. Sorry." He scrambled backward and nearly tripped over another Cherrypaw. cookie @luciferin
Thistlepaw giggled as the tom who had spoken to her backed into another cat. "Watch out, clumsy!" she called, eyes sparkling. The she-cat scampered over to him and sniffed at his fur before asking, "What clan are you from anyway?"
Lightpaw finally rose to her paws, amused that it wasn't Thistlepaw causing a scene for once. The brown and cream apprentice neared the other three. "Also, what did you mean by that? Where we're going?"
SWIFTCLAN Lovepaw went everywhere with searching eyes, and perfectly groomed fur. The pure white she-cat was startled when she'd heard the news about going to a different clan, but then she perked up at the idea of spreading love to them as she did in her own clan. Her mind wasn't right though, as she truly believed that her heart condition was from the lack of love in the area around her.
FALLCLAN Cinderpaw was excited to be leaving his clan. At least then he'd get away from the family feud between his aunt and mother. Most of his days were spent training or sitting with his dad and uncle watching the two fight. Now he spent his time lazily watching those around him gossiping and what not.
Thistlestar stepped into the clearing, his dark green eyes scanning the clearing with a quiet look of intensity. For those who were unfamiliar with the Springclan leader's ways, he was a sight to behold. A tall Siamese mix with sharp and unfriendly features that were naturally plastered to his face since birth. The leader looked bothered and serious, but in reality, he was feeling rather somber. Of course, he was one of the first leader to agree on the idea of an Exchange program; why wouldn't he? It was not only a great learning experience for the younger generation, but also a great way to strengthen relations and alliances with other clans. As great as the situation may have seen, there was another factor that left the leader feeling rather pensive; his own kits who were now apprentice, taking part in the new project.
"Woah! There are so many cats!" Sunnypaw called out in a ray of pure excitement, his honey colored eyes bright and wide as he skipped over to his father's side, his bright orange pelt glowing next to his father's dull colored coat.
A small smile grew at the leader's expression as he took in his youngest kit whose excitement gave the Springclan leader ounces of solace.
"Remember what I told you and your siblings Sunnypaw." He spoke up, his voice deep and velvety as he glanced back up at the crowds of cats. "You have to be on your best behavior; you are all representing the best of what Springclan has to offer..." _____________________
Cloverpaw and Primrosepaw followed in the group of cats that followed Thistlestar. The two exuded excitement, though in very different ways. Cloverpaw bounced with each step she took, her bright green eyes filled with blatant excitement and content. How she loved chances to explore and this was the ultimate adventure! She would be going off to live and train with a random clan. The excitement only grew as she pressed on, turning to look at her sister "This is going. to. be AMAZING!" She spoke up hushed excitement, turning back to the growing crowds.
Primrosepaw's smile widened at her sister's comment, nodding in quiet agreement as she too took in all the cats. Unlike her sister, Primrosepaw had a air of calm pride to her, her steps calculated and careful while her composure was peaceful. Despite the well kept exterior, she could feel her heart race deeply. As exciting as the opportunity was, she couldn't help but grow concern. It was one thing having to train within the confort of her home and the pressure that had, it was a whole other mountain to scale doing it in a foreign clan surrounded by unfamiliar cats. She only hoped she could do her best to not only prove herself worthy, but her clan as well.
The other cats hadn't responded before Thistlepaw's eyes caught on a gorgeous she-cat far away. "Berightback," she said so quickly it was nearly incoherant and then darted off. The other apprentice was walking around, eyes searching for something, but evidently she hadn't found it yet. Thistlepaw would help her. She reached her and meowed cheerfully, "Oh my gosh, hi. My name is Thistlepaw. I'm from SummerClan! You are so pretty." pao
Lightpaw watched as her clanmate and friend rushed off in the blink of an eye. She wanted to follow just to make sure Thistlepaw would be safe, but perhaps she should do her own branching out. It built character, after all. She looked at the she-cat and tom who were still in front of her. eventideCleaver
"I'm from SwiftClan," Luckypaw began excitedly, trailing off as Thistlepaw charged off. Oh. Okay. He turned back to Lightpaw with a little smile, glad someone was still around. "I overheard their plans. Chim said he didn't want to tell us 'paws, but I heard it anyway! They're sending us to live in the other clans forever." cookie
SWIFTCLAN Lovepaw grinned at some complimenting her. "Well thank you, gorgeous! Thistlepaw you say? Name's Lovepaw. Lovepaw of SwiftClan." The she-cat practically purred at the attention. Her heart beat steady, and her mind raced with the possibilities of this exchange program.
Lightpaw cocked her head with interest at this. "Forever? That can't be right," she said, pawing at the ground casually. "Ratstar would have told us." The apprentice glanced over to Thistlepaw and the other she-cat, suddenly sad. What if it was true though? She didn't want to lose Thistlepaw and Skypaw. Cleavereventide
"Oooh," purred Thistlepaw, batting her eyes at Lovepaw. "SwiftClan? I've never met a SwiftClan cat." She wound herself around the SwiftClanner, a friendly smile on her face. It was so cool getting to meet other cats! pao
SWIFTCLAN Lovepaw purred, "well you have now. And you would be from where? Can't say I've meet cats from all the clans, but I've heard stories of most of them. Like the Gods in WinterClan and the chaos that's brewing in SunClan." She was curious about the other clans, but more curious about the cats in said clans and the amount of love there.
