Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
One could assume that Styx wasn't particularly thrilled about her assignment of the day. You could tell by the way that her leaf-green eyes were half narrowed that she dreaded it a little more than normal. If she had been wise, perhaps she would have followed in her father's footsteps as an ambassador. Unfortunately for her, her destiny was not painted in the stars to be quite so pleasant. She was called to the work as her duty, which meant she couldn't avoid it, even when it got sticky. This was one of the times that things had gotten sticky. She probably should have claimed that it was a conflict of interest, but she wasn't sure that Innocentia or anyone else would have cared. After all, in Primal Instinct, work often came before everything else.
She let out a soft sigh, before entering the area where she knew Jinx would be waiting. She had wasted enough time already; it was time to begin. Still, she couldn't help but wish she was seeing the tom on better terms again. It had been moons since she'd seen her littermate, and this wasn't the space for a happy reunion.
Her eyes drifted to his form, and she cleared her voice. "Jinx."
Jinx looked up from where he laid on the ground, feeling queasy and week. The tom wasn't sure how long it had been since he'd last eaten. He had been left alone for a while, and now another cat was approaching. He tried to rise on shaky paws before giving up, sliding back to the ground with a defeated sigh. As the cat neared him, she spoke his name. That voice! He knew it! A little more urgency this time helped him struggle to a seated position, leaning heavily against the wall of wherever he was. "Styx!" he cried, a feeling he could only assume was joy bubbling up inside him. Joy, relief.. wasn't it all the same for him anyway? Jinx didn't have it in him to rush to her, so instead he called weakly from where he was at, "Sister, have you come to take me away from here?" She had gone to Primal Instinct before he had, and the black tom hadn't expected to be lucky enough to find her there in one piece.

Styx winced slightly. As much as she wished that she could take her littermate as far away from the prison as possible, it wasn't her job. She didn't have that kind of power. She was just another grunt in the system, someone to do her work without batting her eyes too much. Still, she hadn't anticipated ever coming into contact with this particular set of circumstances.
"You don't know how much I wish I could," she meowed flatly, adverting her gaze as she walked closer to him. Her brother looked worse for wear, but that was expected of the circumstances. Cats didn't regularly survive his situation.
"I can do my best to ease your suffering, but it is not my job to prevent it. Falling out of rank like that would get us both killed." She padded over to him, and as she got closer it became apparent that she was carrying something on her. She glanced around to make sure they were in a secluded enough spot, before dropping her little collection to the ground. In it, there were cobwebs and a small root, one that was the proper size to fit in one's moutb.
"Are there wounds you need dressed now? Or could you hide these?" she meowed, referring to the cobwebs.
