Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Ravendagger was basking in the sunlight, enjoying the Newleaf day. He was task-free at the moment and pleased about it. The tom had been so busy lately that he hadn't spent much time with the two most important cats in his life - his twin sister Greyhunt and his mate Airtempest. Ravendagger debated on whether he should search them out or remain in his warm spot. Both were such appealing options.
It seemed as if it wouldn't be a decision that the tom would be forced to make, as it wasn't that long before Greyhunt padded past, a pair of rabbits hanging from her jaws. Hunting was always one of her favorite past times, and she certainly had a knack for finding prey even in the coldest of conditions. With the weather being the exact opposite, however, finding the rabbits wasn't that much of a challenge. She was just about to walk right by Ravendagger, but it had been a while since she last talked with her twin. Normally, the two shared everything, so it was odd to go a long period of time without him. So, she dropped the rabbits and said, "Why don't you get off your lazy butt and come join me?"
The warrior lifted up his head and gave a lazy smile. His sister had just brought in some fresh kill. "Why get up when you can so easily bring me a rabbit where I'm laying?" Ravendagger rolled to his paws and stretched out before walking toward her, brushing up against Greyhunt's pelt and purring a greeting. "But I suppose for you I can use my legs. How have you been?"
Greyhunt couldn't help but roll her eyes at her brother, though the action seemed more affectionate than annoyed, and as he brushed against her, she gave a little push. "Oh, absolutely wonderful," the words almost seemed sarcastic, but she continued on, "I swear I've been sent through every inch of this territory for one reason or another. Kit sneak out and get lost? Send Greyhunt! Oh, we're out of the elder's favorite food? We should send Greyhunt!" She let out a sigh, rolling her shoulders before turning a grin to her twin. "At least we've found a place that needs us as much as we need it."
"Yes, it seems you're doing really well here," he agreed, twisting his tail around hers before sliding away to examine what she had caught. "Your name fits you so well, Greyhunt. Good job." Truthfully, Ravendagger didn't feel needed in FallClan like his sister seemed to. Still, he knew cats here and couldn't bear to part with them no matter how much a lone life of traveling would suit him better.
"Well, Whitestone doesn't call me the mistress of the hunt for nothing," she said. A grin formed on Greyhunt's face for just a moment, before she saw the apprehension in her twin's face. She knew him better than she knew herself sometimes, so she could guess what it was that he was thinking. Letting out a sigh, she stretched herself out "You know, sometimes I feel alone here. Sure, I have Whitestone and Airtempest and everyone, but it's just weird. I'm so used to us being such a close-knit group, that suddenly having this freedom to do whatever? I don't know what to do with myself."
Ravendagger didn't want to get all chummy so he tried to be joking. "You sure didn't make it sound like you had freedom to do whatever," he said, but his smile didn't reach his eyes. His twin was pretty spot on. He also felt sort of lost not having a task or cause to work toward. He just sort of did small things for the clan during the day and slept at night. Suddenly he had an idea. "Why don't we all take a trip sometime? It'll feel like old times!"
