Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A small dark brown feline; probably a paw, stalked a shrew. Olivepaw drew herself closer and closer, holding her breath. But at last, her screaming lungs claimed victory with a gasp for air. The rodent darted for the safety of it's burrow. Olivepaw attempted to give chase, but it was to late. "Fox-dung!" The she-cat hissed in frustration. "I'll never get the hang of this."
A giggling sound came from nearby. A beautiful and elegant fawn-colored she-cat was approaching the apprentice. The sun illuminated her fur, giving her an angelic glow while milkweed seeds floated around her. Fawnheart, the Springclan medicine cat, had been out collecting herbs when she noticed the apprentice stalking the shrew. She had stood and watched for a moment, seeing the apprentice fail at her catch. "Don't think like that" she mewed, her voice as soft as silk and as smooth as honey. "You'll get the hang of it, I know you will. Don't be afraid to fail. From failing, you learn."
The young Apprentice jumped at first, caught up in her own little world. A hot wave of embarrassment flooded Olivepaw as she dipped her head in respect to the Medicine Cat. "Forgive me, I didn't realize you where here, Fawnheart." The brown tabby feline said quickly. Olivepaw perked up a bit as her mind replayed the Medicine Cat's words of wisdom. "Do you really think so?" Her blue eyes looked up hopefully at Fawnheart. Olivepaw new it was foolish of herself to expect to much so soon. But having heard other Apprentice's catching prey their first training session while she was still grasping the basics was disheartening.
"Of course, I do" she purred, her eyes soft and kind. "Come with me, I want to show you something." She guided the apprentice to the Cherry Blossom trees where a stone path snaked between them. The cherry blossoms were in bloom and when the wind blew, pedals floated down like gently falling snow. "Beautiful isn't it?"
