Approach the borders today, whether it’s the borders of camp or the territory. You will discover something new and life changing whether it is a cat, knowledge, or an object.
The twins wandered over to the border, they could tell when they were getting closer. The dry grass beneath their paws chipped away into hot rocks that for most cats would burn beneath their paw pads. For any SunClan cat though this was durable, the pink skin under their paws were hard and so long as they kept moving the sticky heat didn’t scorch them.
Normally he wouldn’t believe in horoscopes, he knew his sister probably hated theirs. Their horoscope in SunClan was Earth, it basically represented being strong, a giver, but also obedient to authority figures. However their mom announced these horoscopes, any horoscopes she announced was said to be straight from the Sun God and almost always accurate. Plus any freedom they got to wander the borders by themselves seeking adventure was too cool to pass up.
“Do you think we’ll meet Santa Paws at the border?” Harvestpaw snickered, but his laughter cut short. He had been excited because their mom gave them this adventure, but it wasn’t really their mom was it? It was the Sun God who had cursed him and his sister. Who had killed them at birth so… What if whatever was up ahead was going to hurt them?

Fallpaw
DayClan Apprentice
The Seductive
Fallpaw watched as two young SunClan apprentices began to make their way across DayClan's border. It wasn't all that unusual to have entitle SunClan cats stroll right on in, but two have two unaccompanied apprentices .was a little out of the ordinary. She reluctantly pulled herself upwards from where she had been sunning herself, her well groomed auburn fur shimmering under the light of the sun. The two SunClan apprentices would smell her long before they saw her, the sweet scent of lavender clinging to her pelt and filling the air around her with the aroma "You still believe in Santapaws, how cute" she smiled sweetly, even though her words dripped with sarcasm. She walked with an air of confidence, her hips swaying gently as she covered the short distance between them
"Don't bully our guests, sister. Glowma would wring your neck if she heard you were picking on a couple of lost kits... sorry... apprentices?" At Fallpaw's side was a little ginger-and-white she-cat with odds eyes, one a honey amber, the other a silvered copper. The way sunlight tickled her pelt made her look almost ethereal. She was pretty, sort of like a princess, "Are you here to visit someone? Or would you like us to show you the way back home? We are happy to help either way." Despite her eye tone and kind words, her face bore no smile, "Oh, and I'm Divinepaw. This is my sister, Fallpaw."
Sweetpaw snorted. "We'll probably meet a mouse or maybe some wind will blow by that almost sounds like words."
Far from believing in the strength of the horoscopes, she was skeptical it would come true at all. The Sun God hated them, so it would be just like him to give them something completely uneventful to do that would waste their time, other than sending some tiny sign that could maybe be interpreted as the horoscope coming true if they really squinted at it. Honestly, she didn't know why they were bothering to come here at all. Maybe it was because their mother had told them the horoscope, and a part of her still refused to believe Autumngossamer was that easily misled.
"It looks like we're about to find out," she added as the sweet scent surrounded her, and she spotted the approaching two apprentices. She waited for them to draw close and stared at Divinepaw, unimpressed by her friendliness. "We don't need any help from your sort," Sweetpaw shot back immediately, "so you can scurry off and we'll finish our business here." How were they supposed to wait for their prophecy with these other cats interrupting them?

"Now, you don't need to talk down to them, do you Divinepaw?" They must have appeared to have come out of the woodworks, one right after the other. It didn't help that the siblings tended to stick together. Or at least Princepaw tended to follow them. You'd think the pretty little strawberry blonde she-cat would be too busy chatting up one of the many from the throughs of her fans. But not today, though her gold eyes like honey kept some wariness. Princepaw was someone who couldn't sit by and let this go by without saying something. "It'd be pretty remiss if we let you do what you want on our territory, though. So, what, praytell, are you two little doe doing here?"

Fallpaw
DayClan Apprentice
The Seductive
"Oh dear, was I bullying our guests again? My apologies, I forget that SunClan apprentice's are so easily offended by mere words" she blinked innocently, drawing her paw up to her chest "In DayClan it takes a little more to ruffle one's pelt" she smirked, moving closer to the two apprentices who were now encircled by Fallpaw and her siblings "but do answer my brother's question, your presence here is most curious and you wouldn't like how we search for answers"
Harvestpaw smiled uneasily, Sweetpaw was right, how were they going to get some life changing adventure with these cats distracting them? He opened his mouth to reply when another apprentice interrupted. His smile faltered, but he opened his mouth again when another piped in. Sucking in a breath he tried to speak again, after all he could understand, SunClan had so man apprentices they were always talking over one another, but AGAIN, someone began to talk. His ears flattened, but at least this time the apprentice was talking directly to him, "We were out fo-"
"Whoa, new people," Fairytalepaw said, walking over to his siblings. He was lanky, awkward looking with patches of his fur missing. Most of his siblings had long lush fur, but his seemed stunted, but showed progress. "Hi there I'm-"
"WE'RE HERE TO FOLLOW A PROPHECY!"
Harvestpaw's ears flattened when he realized the noise, of course, had died down when he started to yell over them. He hadn't even meant to say prophecy, but it wasn't like other clans knew what horoscopes were. Prophecy was the easiest word for it.
"Oh wow, a prophecy, you SunClan cats seem to have a lot of prophecies directed towards DayClan," Fairytalepaw said in a chipper tone.

As even more voices rose, Princepaw instinctively flattened her ears against her skull. It was a bit too overwhelming, not helped when Fairytalepaw joined them too. Though her mouth opened to say something before Harvestpaw yelled. Gold eyes widened, and Princepaw took a step back instinctively. "A... prophecy?" She asked after a few moments, ears correcting themselves. A fate. How romantic. Even if the territory was open though, it gave her some pause to let Sunclan cats wander about. "Ah, I see." She said, despite not understanding at all. "Though, what kind of prophecy is it, pray tell?"
"Oh right, um, the prophecy was," He thought back for a moment as he tried to remember what his mother said word for word, "Approach the borders today. You will discover something new and life changing whether it is a cat, knowledge, or an object. So my sister Sweetpaw and I went out to the border so it has to be along here somewhere," He supposed.
"Isn't it fulfilled, then? Your prophecy," At some point Divinepaw quit eyeing the visitors and started fiddling with the frond of a nearby fern, cutting several parallel streaks along the veins of its greenery. It didn't really create any sort of pattern but it was a pleasurable sensation and a tried-and-true way to pass the time, "I may not consider our meeting 'life changing,' but you have certainly discovered something new." She lifted her head up now, dropping the dissected leaf to the ground, and looked from Harvestpaw to Sweetpaw then back to Harvestpaw, "Although I've got to hand it to you, even Goldenphantom and Fia - our parents - have such a hard time getting us all in one place at the same time. The whole litter is here."

Fallpaw
DayClan Apprentice
The Seductive
Fallpaw giggled, these cats really are just mouse-brained. Prophecy? More like some bad advice that elders gave out to kits. It was so obscure and out there, did they really expect to Find something life changing out here on the border? "Yes getting us all together is the real miracle here" she added "I do hope you find whatever it is you are looking for, but I am afraid someone has sent you on a wild goose chase"

Okay, maybe she kept seeing things through rose tinted glasses. But it was true. The five siblings had spent their apprentice-hoods passing each other by. Like their kithoods was enough. Princepaw would say she didn't mind, though she figured her siblings were glad she wasn't hiding behind them as much anymore. “Yeah, like the passing bloom of the zinnia, so how we all come together. But, mayhaps, this is a blessing from your prophecy.”
This was a waste of time. "I would hardly consider your fulfillment of our ... prophecy," Sweetpaw scoffed. "We were going to meet someone new walking over here, just because it happened to be doesn't make it anything special. Just step aside and let us get on with our day." She might not believe in this horoscope much, but she was beginning to feel defensive of her clan's tradition. Divinepaw had no excuse to make light of them like that, and she wasn't thrilled about the other apprentices either.
"Come on Harvestpaw, let's just keep walking until they give up and leave us alone. These cats are hardly a blessing."
